  1. Linkin Park/Stone Temple Pilots/Skillet tour.
  2. Agreed. And that third album would have been full of songs that appealed more to the masses. Prime example: Papa Roach. Infest sold three million, Lovehatetragedy barely went gold. To save their careers, they shifted toward more radio ready music with Getting Away With Murder. Although IMO I feel like that record is one of their best.
  3. I didn't see the image myself so how was it deemed offensive?
  4. Or better yet, Warner finds out a copy of the album has been stolen and that it will leak within 24 hours so they hire Jack Bauer to prevent it.
  5. Bands that are great examples of prog rock are Rush, Pink Floyd, and Genesis. Not saying the album will be in the same vein as these groups, but its a good indication of where things may be heading for this record.
  6. Very cool. Hell of an upgrade. I think this site is tied with Kornspace in terms of quality and design. Great job.
  7. I'm going to have to disagree to some extent. Howard Benson's produced some good albums from some great bands. Motorhead, P.O.D., Papa Roach, and Three Days Grace to name a few. His production on the albums he's produced, as well the engineering, are very strong. The only issue is that he is a mainstream producer. He takes the sound of a group or artist and polishes it into something that would appeal to the average rock/pop listener, which is one of the main reasons a lot of bands and artists, perhaps including Chester, go to him to produce their record.
  8. Say what you want about Don, but IMO, a part of the reason why HT and Meteora are as great as they are is because of his input. Yes he may have watered them down and influenced them to stick with the same formula on Meteora, but the atmosphere on both those records I don't feel could have been achieved with any other producer at the time (as no one else was wanting to work with them). Like Korn did with Ross Robinson, if LP were to ever decide to try and recapture their signature sound, I wouldn't be surprised if Don was the person they turned to. I will also say I'd like to see LP work with a variety of producers throughout the rest of their career and not stick with Rick Rubin like the RHCP have done the last 20 years. It be great to hear what they could do with people like Brendan O'Brien, Johnny K, and Nick Raskulinecz.
  9. It be hilarious if this turns out to be the big announcement. Though I'm sure it isn't. P.S. How do you guys find these shows?
  10. It be funny if Amir or Ryan posted something like this on the page: "We talked about JK supporting LP in Europe but decided not to go through with it. Instead Orgy will be opening for them."
  11. Great news. Sounds like there ALMOST done.
  12. Chester obviously had a few too many during those performances.
  13. If this is to become a full scale European tour, then LP are more likely going to hit up their usual spots for this run (Germany, Austria, Russia, England, etc.). Btw, just out of curiosity, how come there isn't a 2010 tour page yet?
  14. Dang I was actually had the same feelings and thoughts during that show. If only I had post them in the forum...
  15. Just a thought but do you think the song may have some influence from the film The Crow? I mean the lines "Blackbirds following me, I'm digging out my grave" has some resemblance to things that happen in the movie.
  16. Give it away, give it away, give it away now. Give it away, give it away, give it away now
  17. Sweet. I kind of figured they'd start in Europe. I see it as a European tour in the fall and a U.S. tour at the top of the year.
  18. It's a new TV series. "Win A Date With Rob Bourdon" or "Linkin Park's Park of Love"
  19. I have to agree with you. You get so caught up in the moment of all good things that you forget there is an expiration date on life. One day, the same fate will come to the members of LP. It is inevitable. Nonetheless, this is a sad loss. While I'm not a massive fan, Slipknot are definitely a unique group, especially having nine members. Their live show is spectacular. Hope they choose to continue but if I not the reasons being are very understandable.
  20. Well whenever this album drops, you can guarantee two things. 1. The first single will be the song that has the most signature LP sound. 2. The first song, no matter how the album sounds, will be a heavy track. I'm not saying I know that for a fact. Its just a consistent thing that happens with most band's albums.
  21. Dude there are so many other records from great bands that have come out or are coming out this year. Sevendust, Godsmack, Deftones (awesome album), Nonpoint, Taproot, Korn, Ozzy, Disturbed, Seether, and not to mention new Stone Temple Pilots which is I believe will be the album of the year. Also, think of all the U2 fans old and new who HAVE to wait 5 years in between records.
  22. Usually two months, maybe three. Songs go through rough mixes, final mixes, and then mastering.
  23. I agree. Nowadays its just Mike and Chester who bring the energy to the show
  24. I had watched the L.A. show a few weeks ago. Didn't know it was you guys who uploaded it. How cool. Btw, the band Skillet (who are an amazing band) stated in their ustream chat a few days ago that they want to tour with LP and have requested fans to message LP, e-mail them, or get in touch with their LP's managers to let them them know. I'm sure most of you have heard of them but they are great and would be huge addition to LP's tour lineup.
  25. ...or Bleed It Out having hints of Metallica.
