  1. No album's price would be higher because there's more tracks. When its a combo pack of sorts (CD/DVD) than yes the price is more expensive.
  2. No, July and August are holding up the next record.
  3. Awesome mix. I can totally picture the outro part with guitar being in chorus in the actual album track. Great job.
  4. Like a lot of artists, LP probably chooses the 12 best tracks simply because they want to keep the listener's attention. Even though they may feel every track should be on the record, they may also feel like anything more will make people will either start to get bored or want to finish the record later because its running on too long.
  5. I love the snippets. Drums sound epic. Vocals sound great. Chester sounds amazing as always. Yes, Mike's vocals are stacked with effects but that won't take away from the rest of the song. I'm sure of that. Who knows, maybe the effects are only placed in his voice for that part of the song. But the standout IMO is the piano. Great as always in a LP song. Its up for debate, but the piano is the backbone of LP's sound.
  6. I think what their saying is that the remix will be an additional track with the rest of the album. Meaning it won't be in place of the album version just something extra.
  7. HELL YEAH!! Even though we saw this coming a mile away. it's still awesome news nontheless. Good luck to everyone who will be making an attempt at the contest.
  8. I didn't. A friend of mine did while he was over. He's another huge LP fan like me and he saw your display name and asked why their isn't a ROBocop to counter act you. So I told him why not create an account and do so. So he did and wants to battle. I have nothing to do with whatever else he's planning. I swear.
  9. Agreed. There has to at least 3-4 songs each from the HT and Meteora sessions that haven't been released. Maybe with the ten year anniversary of Hybrid Theory coming up they'll reissue it with remixed and remastered album tracks and a couple unreleased tracks. Kind of like Sevendust and Disturbed just did with their first record.
  10. I'd like just an overall well crafted, well produced, well written album.
  11. This is off topic. But, Hahninator, apparently your "equal" has surfaced in the serious discussion forms challenging you to a battle. He or she is going by the name Robocop. On topic. More South America would be awesome. Even though I won't be attending, the DSP's should be great as said.
  12. Wow that's terrible news for JK and their fans. I did have the pleasure of seeing them on PR07 and from what I remember Brandon, as well as the rest of the band, had good stage presence. Wasn't a big fan of DTA but it did have some stellar tracks. I completely understand his desire to leave due to his unhappiness with the band's musical direction. Creativity is a big factor when it comes to making music, especially with a group. I mean, Chester could have easily left LP for "creative differences" because his early DBS work wasn't getting picked up by the rest of the guys.
  13. Don't know if its been suggested yet but is that there be individual band member theme. Like a Mike theme, Chester theme, Brad theme, and so on. Each theme would represent the instruments they play and their appearances over the years.
  14. I didn't say it had to be one song. I just saw this topic as b-side tracks in place over album tracks. However I will stick by my claim that No Roads Left is the better Mike singing track. In Between has strong lyrics but its music doesn't really go anywhere and neither does Mike's singing. No Roads Left has good lyrics and the music has that build up in tension and mystery before it cuts loose. You can really sense the emotion in Mike's singing on that track in spite of the fact that it was heavily edited.
  15. Runaway. Love the song but feel like its the weakest of the bunch.
  16. Here's a question I ask of you all. Do any of you feel like despite the change in sound a lot more people would have liked MTM if the guitar were a lot more heavy/distorted/present? Please discuss.
  17. How is AIC opening for STP disrespectful? It was one show, not an entire tour. STP obviously had the headline spot because their album, which IMO is the best album this year so far, was about to be released. That and I'm sure the promoters may have thought with their album coming out, STP would have had a bigger draw than AIC would have as headliner. Both are great bands so I don't see how one opening for another would have been disrespectful.

    Puzzle #2

Mike comes up for some really cool puzzle games (even if they are found to be simple). I'm starting to think he is a real life Riddler.
  19. With puzzles coming in, we should have a thread titled The Shinoda Code.
  20. I'll tell what's going to happen next. What's going to happen next is that I'm going to shut down my computer, get up from my chair, turn off the light, climb into bed, fall asleep. and then slip into a dream where my mind is the scene of the crime.
  21. Didn't In Between have strings as well? I always thought that strings were playing through out or were they just synths?
  22. 1. Qwerty 2. Given Up 3. Leave Out All The Rest 4. Blackbirds 5. Shadow Of The Day 6. What I've Done 7. Hands Held High 8. No More Sorrow 9. Across The Line 10. No Roads Left 11. In Pieces 12. The Little Things Give You Away As much as Bleed It Out is great live, the studio version just doesn't do it for me. A full mastered version of QWERTY that mixes both the demo and live versions would have been a killer track to begin the album. Obviously No Roads Left was the better Mike singing track than In Between, and Valentine's Day in my eyes was just filler.
  23. Yes. And the first single is called 'Hey Yo'.
