  1. Don't sweat it. A lot of bands out there are tight lipped about there work. For instance, Breaking Benjamin's updates and inside scoops on Dear Agony were non-existent for the entire year leading up to its release. Film studios are pretty much the same way with their movies. Reason being is that you don't want to give too much away or the people will know what to expect.
  2. I would say most other bands do those sort of things because the need the attention and hype for their music. That is why they teasers of their material via webisodes and such. Where as LP are at that level where they don't need to draw that kind of attention anymore. All they have to say is "the album will by out on this date" and people will flock to buy the record.
  3. Can you imagine a Linkin Park and 311 tour? That would be more than epic.
  4. I would agree with those months in particular. However, to meet that deadline the album will need to go into the mixing phase this month or next month. IMO I still believe they are recording the album and writing new songs while they do. I'd think if we get to july or august and we still only know as little as we do now or if the band is still in recording, the album, more than likely, will not be out this year. That's just my stance as of now because we don't we're exactly they are in the album process. The band hasn't been heavily open about the making of their records since Meteora.
  5. That be something I want to see. I can see Chester doing a Hips Don't Lie duet.
  6. I'm sure you mean this in terms of LP sites. But in the case of fan sites in general, kornspace.com is a definite rival.
  7. It was a ten minute or so phone chat. Nothing we don't already know was talked about.
  8. Most bands will one day return to their roots. Much like other hard rock/metal bands who have experimented with their sound (Korn, Deftones, Sevendust, etc.), LP is in the experimental stage of their career. These bands I've listed have all or are releasing new albums that are reminiscence of their signature work. I'd say give LP another two or three records and they will return to the HT sound or something similar to it.
  9. I really like the song. The lyrics are strong and Mike's rap is nice, though I felt the song could have done without his intro freestyle. I will say that musically it stayed a straight line but it worked for the harmonies and lyrics. Overall, I'd give it a 8/10 After seeing the trailer, they had be believing that Mike would be rapping the song's verses. I think we were all suckered by that.
  10. Thanks for the info. Joe is actually the last person in the band I'd thought would get a facebook or twitter considering he's sorta anti-social when it comes to interviews and such.
  11. Now wouldn't it be crazy if the game ended up not coming out on the 26th.
  12. I don't see the need of having the setlist confirmed. After the first show, you already know what songs will be played and what order there going to be in. They're not going to do anything different than what they've done in the previous two shows.
  13. You know seeing all that gear and instruments in studio (guitars, bass, keyboards, drums, turntables) really makes you wonder if Mike is really the sole writer of LP. Not saying he is, but its just something to think about.
  14. MTM was a solid effort and good break from the previous two albums. But it was nothing bands like Nine Inch Nails or U2 couldn't do. Just my opinion.
  15. What are you talking about? DBS is gonna be touring for two years.
  16. Everyone has to see that DBS will have more avenues of touring to explore once LP is back in full. For artists who have adopted side projects such as Chester and Mike, it is much harder to promote your own material as it is your main band's without the backing off a major record label. When it comes to side projects, an artist is pretty much on their own when it comes to marketing. Sure your booking management will secure you shows but that doesn't mean your label will jump through hoops to try and bank money off a project they know won't stand toe to toe with the artist's main act. Fort Minor shared a similar tale and Mike has even warned Chester of this difficulty. Chester himself said during an interview before the Houston show that once LP resumes touring more gates will open for DBS and they'll be able to put their name out to a broader audience. I wouldn't be surprised that if there were to be Projekt Revolution tour this summer, DBS would be one of the acts on the bill. The same could be said with international tours as well. Just my two cents...
  17. I agree. I don't think we'll see Give Me Your Name inducted into the setlist or played every night. If it were to be played, it probably be every other night or so. The vocals just sound way to high pitched to performed on a daily basis. In The Darkness is a different story. If this were to be played regularly, I could see being placed toward the end of the set or somewhere close to the encore break similar to how TLTGYA was.
  18. That's too bad. I guess 20 Eyes didn't make reservations beforehand.
  19. I'd prefer that one only if it were Cheeseburg
  20. Meanwhile back at the ranch (as in back on topic) I'm hoping the live version is from Merriweather. That was definitely the best performance of the song IMO
  21. My car came with an iPod, so I just import music to my in-car computer and sync it up.
  22. Yes I know. It was being sarcastic. Normally when people say T2 you think Terminator 2.
  23. Wow didn't know they were popular during those days. I bet they performed the Terminator theme
  24. 30 Seconds To Mars won't be broadcasted. The set times have changed. 6:50 - Three Days Grace 7:25 - Anberlin 7:50 - Dead By Sunrise 8:15 - Alice In Chains 9:10 - Rise Against 10:00 - AFI TSTM will now play first but without the webcast.
