Any pro-shot of Chester's performances? Or interview? Don't feel like looking through the hour and half long video.
-
Would be awesome to have. Love proshots.
-
That's badass, thanks for sharing.
-
Wow, that would be so epic... I've watched a ton of Ink Master seasons and Chester as a judge would be the coolest thing ever.

The rarest linkin park cd there is...HT 9 track demo cd
Geki replied to BPERCY's topic in Everything Linkin Park
I agree, that would be really cool. -
Badass video. Nice to see Ryan and Chester still hanging out.

Yeah, he just loves to have fun on stage, I guess that's the best way I could describe it. He loves to just rock out. But it doesn't mean that he is leaving LP or anything like that, haha.

How so? He did literally the same exact thing during the recording of MTM. Look at how many damn guest spots he has from 2005 to 2007, even in the year 2007. He even had Bucket Of Weenies in that time. He did a bunch of Camp Freddy stuff in late 2008, 2009 and 2010, and also released Out Of Ashes and toured for Out Of Ashes while the band was making ATS. He released High Rise and toured with STP during the recording of THP and during THP cycle he was recording new music for STP and touring still. Literally the only time he wasn't doing much guesting was during the making of LT but that wasn't as long of a process as the other albums, either. The band doesn't need Chester to be in the studio every single day. They never have, that's how they always have made albums. Mike and Brad lay down most of the work in the studio, actually, it's been said before. And I would say that Chester has actually been in the studio more for this album than past albums, at it least it seems like it, because we have had TONS of photos and videos of him in the studio with LP since last year, especially all those funny videos on SnapChat, etc. Chester legit loves being on stage it seems. He likes performing with his friends and really all he is doing is just performing old rock songs that he loves with his friends for a good time, like he has done so many times in the past, whether it be with Camp Freddy, Bucket Of Weenies, Stone Temple Pilots and the countless guest performances he has done. I don't know why some people are freaking out when he has done this every single album cycle, even more on other album cycles. I guess it's just because we have had barely any news from LP in like a year and this is really the only info we have been getting lately is Chester's guest spots.

I honestly believe that the reason he left STP was because they wanted him to record new music with them. If they just wanted to play shows and cover STP songs with Chester, he probably wouldn't have left, IMO. I always thought it was really weird that they wanted Chester to write actual new songs with them. He already had a band, Linkin Park, that he is the lead singer for and Linkin Park isn't slowing down any time soon. So it was weird to me that they asked him to not only tour with them, but also write actual new music with them. High Rise was horrible also, IMO, it just felt VERY forced, but that's besides the point. He already tried that before with DBS, to write songs for both bands and tour for both bands, in 2010 he even said he didn't want DBS to be a one time thing and that he hopes they can tour in the future and write new music, etc., but that obviously never happened. Like I said, if they just wanted him to play shows here and there and so some small tours every once in a great while, he probably wouldn't have left. But they wanted him in the studio, writing new music with them, as well as touring, etc. It also seems like Linkin Park is planning on coming back full force with this next album, I can already imagine just this huge epic album cycle, etc., so you have to think that his decision to leave was probably also influenced by the future, too. Not just Linkin Park either, he also had 6 kids and a wife, he probably wanted some more time to spend time with his family as well, and you can't blame him for that. Also, these performances are really just one off type of performances here and there. He doesn't have to commit to anything, he can just rock out with his friends for a few songs here and there when he wants to. He always has done this, since like 2004 with the Orgy show that he guested at. He has done many live guests spots in 2005, 2006 and onwards. They've also all been in L.A., or most of them, and he really doesn't even have to '''travel'' like he did with STP across the country, etc.

Haha same to you! I also wanted to add more onto what I said before. If LP doesn't want to do a studio update this month or next month (assuming so since they are going to upload ''Part 2''), they must be really grinding down on the album and working hard on getting it closer to release. I bet they're going to finish up writing the album this month and next month and then release a single in December. Then probably album in March like it's been heavily rumored. I think we're in the long stretch now, the album is getting close to being finished. The next few months might suck as far as LP news, but at least we get the final LPU15 track this month, as well as LPU16 next month to tide us over a bit.

I think a majority of the fanbase would rather have the Lockout Tapes because unless you're a hardcore MTM fan like me and you, the making of might not be as epic. I still think it was epic. I mean it had a ton of information about the songs on MTM and bonus footage of the band screwing around, etc. It was basically the DVD that came with MTM but twice as epic (and I love the DVD that came with MTM as well, so that's saying something). The only real problem with it would be how would it ever be obtained? We know how to get the Lockout Tapes, pay Marc Ostrick for them. But I'm not sure who would have the Making Of MTM Webster Hall Version... Mark Fiore obviously, but how would the fanbase go about asking him? I'm positive that the actual band and Mark Fiore and Lorenzo and Adam and all those people aren't even aware of what the Making Of MTM Webster Hall Version is, let alone how bad fans have wanted it over the years. It was kind of like when LPU uploaded all the LPTV episodes that were on iTunes in 2007, the full ones, for download, and they were uncensored. I bet the Making Of MTM Webster Hall Version is just sitting in a box somewhere or on a hard drive, etc. I'm sure there had to have been DVD's made of it because how else would theaters all across the U.S. obtain it to show in theaters? I literally remember the day in 2007 when I went to Albany, NY to see the showing. There was some kind of note that said to come early to catch an inside glimpse of Linkin Park's new album or something like that, and it ended up being like around a half hour long or so, and it had all that footage and everything that I've talked about. Then the Webster Hall show came on. Nobody thought anything of it at the time because they didn't know how rare it would become. I assumed that the Making Of MTM that came with the album would be the same as what we saw in theaters, but it was drastically different. The Making Of shown in theaters did look a little bit ''uncut'' in a sense, like the LPTV episodes that were uncut that LPCatalog released in 2015, but it still was produced enough that it didn't look low budget or anything like that.

Those are from the ''Wal-Mart Edition'' of MTM. That's the only info I know about those tracks.
-
Wish I had the money, I've wanted this tape since I became a LP fan.
-
This is just the video version of the audio version we have from months ago. So Chester's video from last month is actually more recent than this update. Lol. I take it a lot of people didn't actually listen to the podcast from a few months ago.

LP isn't going anywhere anytime soon, trust me. The Marc Ostrick tapes would be amazing to have but I've always been much more interested in the band from 2007 and onwards. There are a few things I would rather have from 2007 and onwards more. But obtaining the Marc Ostrick tapes would be legendary for the fanbase. Maybe someday it will happen. He's just asking for too outrageous of a price, IMO.

Ahh. Thanks for stating.

That section from the live version that you're talking about doesn't appear on the studio version of And One, you're right. The only line that's not included on the studio version is ''Stand alone on the outside'' and he usually screamed ''what the fuck'' after that line, though not sure if that was intended to be a lyric or not, kind of like how he used to scream ''motherfucker'' after APFMH at shows.

Pretty cool that we finally get to hear the track. I remember when it was posted last year, with the photo of Zayed with Chester, Mike, Rob and Brad, etc.
-
Pretty cool. Probably will be similar to stuff he did with Camp Freddy in the past, as well as The Hellcat Saints stuff, etc.

The thing that interests me about this is that there actually could be a hidden message here. Like said above, the band teased the album title for THP in that 6 sec clip of GATS before GATS even came out as a single. The band are infamous for trolling the fans and also keeping the fans guessing, etc. But it's also possible that this is being looked into way too far and it's just a random video of Mike playing with sounds. So who knows. But I could see the album title this time around being something personal like that, since the band has said that a lot of the songs are very personal this time around, etc. I don't particularly think ''Painted Me Wrong'' is the album title. If anything, I think it could be the name of the first single, a.k.a. the Blackbear and LP song. I will be extremely shocked if the first single isn't that Blackbear and LP song, and I feel like we have already heard a clip from it with that video Blackbear leaked last month of Mike singing. The beat in that song sounds very much like Blackbear's music and that's for sure Mike singing no question. Could be the demo of the song, Chester could be on the final version, but who knows. I do believe that's the song. The other day there was that video posted with what looked like new merch ideas and it was Blackbear and LP, their logos were mashed up and it looked professional. I have this gut feeling that something may be coming and that the first single might be the song they did with Blackbear. Keep in mind that THP wasn't even finished yet when they released GATS, nor was LT when they released BID. This guy is holding up what looks like a patch and it's one of the symbols on LP's new ''patch'' shirt that they have in the merch store. But to the side of him is that Blackbear x LP logo. I mean, why else would they produce that? I think we are on the verge of something coming, possibly a single... I mean I know the album is expected for 2017 but I see no reason as to why the first single wouldn't come either next month or in November or December. Very long wait in between music if not. THP was released in June of 2014 and it's already been over 2 years now since then. I fully expect a single this year.

I actually thought about Tools Of The Trade as well when Mike was talking about how Michael Jackson came up with the idea by using Coke bottles and stuff.

When Chester joined Linkin Park/Radio Alice transcript.
Geki replied to Numbrocker's topic in Everything Linkin Park
Surprisingly, Chester seems to know the most about the history of the band. Mike is the worst at it, he is always mislabeling dates on tracks and getting the years messed up in interviews and speeches, etc. Not sure about the rest of the band about that kind of stuff. Anyways, I totally forgot about this thread. This is possibly one of the best interviews ever done about the early years of the band, and it was from a Dead By Sunrise interview (technically). Awesome. Lol. -
I hope this is true.

The demo idea thing sounds awesome. It sounds kind of like ATS in a way. I like that. If the album is more of stuff like in this direction as opposed to full on pop I will be happy. But I'll probably love the album regardless because it's LP. I would say maybe a single in March and then album in June. It's basically October now and like you said, it seems like they are still in the creating sounds phase which isn't close to finishing up an album at all. The thing that a lot of people forget is that it takes months for an album to come out even once it's done. With MTM, the final deadline ended up being February 2007 and that's when they finished it. But the album didn't end up coming out until May 2007. With ATS, I'm assuming the final deadline was maybe June 2010 and then the album ended up coming out in September 2010. With LT and THP, the album wasn't even finished being written yet when they released the first singles (BID and GATS). They ended coming out about 3 of 4 months after those initial singles came out. So think about it. The album probably isn't very close to being done yet. They probably haven't even chosen which songs will make the cut yet. And then once they do that, they have to further narrow it down for the album. We know the band chooses more songs to make the cut then what appears on the album because it's further narrowed down (examples are stuff like ATL and Blackbirds). Basically, what I'm saying is that we are probably a long time away. June 2017 is now my new guess.
