  1. Dark Crystal does sound kind of creepy, doesn't it? Glad I'm not the only one who thought that.
  2. Can't wait for the track by track videos for this album, will be interesting to watch for a lot of these. Especially Burberry.
  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oAEIW0rxZU Consequence A is heard in this video, it's under ''Quense'', a shortened version of the word Consequence most likely.
  4. Burberry could be mislabeled, you're right. I was expecting the #84 tag as well for BIO and I assumed it would be labeled as Accident. Hell, even was even published in Rolling Stone Magazine that it was called Accident. As for the date, I'm starting to think that Mike just sees the name Bleed It Out and calls it 2007 since MTM came out in 2007. I don't think he cares what the tracks are labeled as and he probably assume that the fans won't notice or care, but the hardcore fans definitely do notice.
  5. I only say that the I think the BIO demo is from 2006 because they were writing at the Houdini House until like the end of 2006 and then went to NRG in January and February of 2007 to finish up mastering and mixing, etc. After that they shot the photoshoot and WID video in March 2007, etc. I guess it's possible they could have completed BIO at NRG in early 2007 but the final version of BIO used the background noise from a party that they had at the studio. I highly doubt this party took place at NRG in early 2007, it was most likely from a party at the Houdini House. I suppose they could have recorded the party prior and suddenly wanted to use it for the track but that just seems crazy to me. This version still had gibberish vocals for the chorus and other sections and like I said, I don't think it's the first incarnation of the song, but surely an earlier version of it.
  6. My notes. The tracks that were songs that didn't make any of the main albums were garbage as they always are. 01. The Catalyst (2010 Demo): I basically thought it sounded the same as the album version except with the different lyrics at the end of the song. Like JZE said, it's similar to the optional vocal take of Robot Boy we got on LPU11. It's awesome, though, I like it. 05. Bleed It Out (2007 Demo): I thought we would be getting a more completed demo, with completed vocals, just a different take. No way in hell this is from 2007, and I know there will be people out there who will argue with me saying how would I know, etc. but this is definitely from 2006, IMO. Obviously probably not the very first incarnation of the song, but surely an early version of it. Not my favorite, but it's cool to have. 08. Lies Greed Misery (2010 Demo): I kind of dig this one. It's weird, I like it. 10. Symphonies Of Light Reprise (2010 Demo): Reminds me a lot of Fallout and The Requiem in a way, because Fallout was kind of similar with re-using lyrics from BITS and it being an interlude type track as well, and The Requiem used lyrics from The Catalyst as well and was also an interlude/intro type of track. It's cool to have.
  7. There was only one track listed as a demo in your post, so that's what I assumed.
  8. Was hoping for at least before Thanksgiving, but who knows at this point.
  9. No, not 7. I was just saying in general that I wouldn't mind hearing a demo of Numb. I think if songs change drastically from their beginning to final versions that it wouldn't be bad to hear multiple versions, though. I wouldn't mind another SIB demo for example that had one of the 30 choruses. Also, his post wasn't 7 Numb demos, it was multiple versions of Numb that was intended as a joke.
  10. Numb is one of the best LP songs, I'd love a Numb demo.
  11. I'm honestly thinking the sound will be similar to a mix of MALL and ATS, while the lyrics (obviously) will be personal to the band, since that's the only for sure thing that we know at this time. But yeah, I think the sound will be kind of like the MALL soundtrack and some of ATS. Maybe a little bit stripped down, like MTM in some ways, idk. That's my guess.
  12. I am thinking MAYBE tomorrow/tomorrow night, but I'm not putting much faith into that. Maybe early next week, if not.
  13. Wow, nice work man. Can't wait for the rest.
  14. Me too, but they said in the more recent FB Live video that things didn't work out as they planned and that they are going to do the tour next year instead.
  15. Will probably be a cool show. If I lived in the area, I would go to the show.
  16. I'm not even trying to argue at all. You can have your opinion, obviously. There really hasn't been much to talk about in terms of LP this entire year so far (and basically half of 2015 as well) and I've just been trying to get discussions and people talking about the band again on here because it seems like literally no one is talking about the band anywhere. I've been a LP fan since before MTM even came out and I've seen ''downtimes'' in between albums but this one just really seems worse, because at least back then, people still talked about the band, etc. There is an entire discography to talk about and discuss, just because something has already been released doesn't mean it's not worthy of discussion. And I change my mind on things over the course of time. A song that I loved 8 years ago might not be as well received by me today. Remember when Mike once said that he thinks people go through phases with music in their lifetime? You've never heard a song one time and thought it was good and then listened to it again some time after and didn't love it like you did?
  17. I'm not sure why people would ever think that these 2015 demos will be any indication of what the new album sounds like. The thought didn't even cross my mind when I heard we were getting some 2015 demos from the new album sessions. First off, it's highly unlikely that they would give us early versions of songs that will be on the record, keep in mind that this is Linkin Park after all. Secondly, there have been MTM demos that sounded literally nothing like anything on MTM, demos from ATS that sounded nothing like ATS, etc. Meteora, etc. Does Bunker sound like the music on MTM? Does Blanka sound like the music on ATS? Does Hemispheres sound like LT? Does Grr sound like HT? Does Halo sound like Meteora? I mean they all have a Linkin Park sound to them, but what I'm getting at is that they create a shit ton of music over the course of an album cycle that can all be very different sounding songs. And we basically already know what the album will sound like. Emotional lyrics, personal lyrics, strong vocal performances, focusing on the songwriting, etc.
  18. Maybe they are gonna start doing shows in March 2017, but I HIGHLY doubt that the album will be out then, or even by April. I'm thinking the album is coming in like June. We might have a single by March or April. I know that people keep saying that the single is dropping in late December/January but it's halfway through November right now and the band is still in the studio. I know that they put out GATS and BID before the albums were done but still, it just feels like it will be mid 2017 to me.
  19. I've actually said that I prefer anything by Linkin Park over side projects, etc. so even if I don't absolutely love all of the LPU tracks, I still like to have it. Not really ironic at all.
  20. Meh, I guess so. It wasn't technically on LPU8, it was provided through a download link on the LPU Forum in late 2008, I think. Mike made it with ProTools 8 when it first came out, I don't think it was ever considered for anything other than that, seems like he made it as like a promo kind of track. There is an LPTV episode for it somewhere. But then again, I don't think ASP or Qwerty were considered for MTM, either. A.06 we know did have vocals at one time, but we don't really know much info about the song besides that, so who knows if it was considered for Meteora. Ultimately, I don't think the 2015 demos are songs that even being considered for the album at this point, much like all of the ones listed above were, which is fine, IMO. It's still Linkin Park music at the end of the day, so fuck it.
  21. Wow, totally forgot about ASP and Qwerty. Great post with good points. I think you're right here.
  22. Not necessarily at all. Look at some of the demos from previous albums, some of them sound almost 100% different than their respective albums. I don't even really care about that. We're on the verge of getting the new album in 2017 anyways. I also think he meant that the new 2015 demos don't have any vocals, I don't think he meant the 2014 demo didn't have vocals since that's probably a demo from THP, but I could be wrong about that, even if it was an instrumental. It's also funny that Chester said Talinda didn't believe him when he said he didn't write the lyrics to some of the tracks. I know LP wanted a very personal album from the get go basically, but I think it's awesome that the band are really hitting home with it, because some of the lyrics on the last few albums have felt like the lyrics were just there because they needed vocals, like they didn't have true passion, even though I'm sure they did.
  23. Agreed. Now that I know that the LPU CD this year will have content that I will love, it will tide me over for a while, like past LPU albums have. This year did suck in terms of anything LP related. Sure, we had news about Chester doing shows with bands, that Martin Garrix thing, etc. but none of that was actual Linkin Park news. We had Things In My Jeep, that's it. So this is great, the wait is finally almost over and we have a good LPU CD coming.
  24. Been a LONG time coming with this album. I think because we didn't have to wait long in between albums for the past few albums like in the old days. Either way, I'm pumped up now. And LPU16 sounds very awesome. I have wanted demos of songs that actually made the cut for a while now, it's nice that Mike wanted to give us some again this time around, I'm very happy about that. And I've wanted a demo of BIO since like 2007, so this is cool. The sheer fact that a demo of BIO is going to be on this CD makes it better than every CD since LPU11 for me, with LPU9 being the best, IMO.
  25. Wow, this is the second time that something on my wish list has come true. For LPU13, I wanted a LITE Demo and we ended up getting Holding Company that year. So pumped now. Mike straight up said in the video that he wanted to put early versions of songs on the LPU CD this time around, fuck yeah, it will be like LPU9!!!!! I don't think it will be the very first original demo for BIO because Phoenix mentioned something about the lyrics in this version said ''Here we go for the 84th time'' or something, they literally re-wrote the lyrics for BIO 100 times or maybe even more. That's a big reason why I always wanted a demo of BIO on a LPU album because it's awesome, IMO. At least we basically know there will be vocals on it because Mike said the verses have different lyrics in that video, so we know they won't pull a Pretty Birdy on us.
