  1. Same. I love those Making Of's. The Meteora one was great, too. Fans have been talking about it forever with the last few albums that we didn't get one. Really cool of them to do it again this time.
  2. This is great. I hope we get a new single this month, as expected. The hype is building so much. Making Of this time around, hell yes. I am so pumped.
  3. Nah, WID is one of my all time favorite LP songs and it always sounds good live. It may be boring but a lot of casual fans like it and it doesn't sound like shit live like BID and ND do.
  4. I feel like I'm one of the few that actually liked Darker Than Blood. I love Chester's vocals in that song, especially the lead vocals at the end of the song, like Broman mentioned. I also agree that if the song had Chester's lead vocal for each chorus in the song, it would have been much better. How is the leak not the final version? Seems pretty complete to me, I mean what more could possibly be added to this song? I think the song was cut from the album when it leaked and Martin doesn't want to use it on the album anymore, and I think that's because this was the final version of the song.
  5. Yeah, for sure, I think it will probably be bands that we didn't expect. And the band has likely already chosen the tour mates months ago anyways at this point.
  6. I think Slipknot and Stone Sour are both better guesses than all of the other guesses in this thread so far besides Blink-182 and Sum 41 (my guesses). I could see both happening.
  7. I just had another thought... what about Sum 41? They just had a new album come out in October 2016 and as far as I know, LP has never played a show with Sum 41 before, let alone toured with them. Frank Zummo of Street Drum Corps/Julien-K is also their drummer, and Chester is friends with him. Their frontman also had some issues with alcohol, similar to Chester in the past, I think they could respect one another. I think it could be a possibility. And I really like Sum 41, I think they're a good band, I think a lot of LP fans would be receptive to it. LP and Sum 41 co-headliner?
  8. The live side of the band and the studio side of the band are different. Some bands can still sell out tours and big venues without having new music out. People aren't always going to shows to hear new shit. And LP have PROVEN since 2009 that they can still tour here in the U.S. The 2011 ATS Tour in the U.S. was actually pretty successful, the Honda Civic Tour in 2012 as we all know was LP's highest grossing tour ever, Carnivores did very well in 2014 as well. You can't determine how well The Hunting Party Tour in 2015 did since it was cancelled after only 3 shows. And that's just the main tours here. You have to take into account the other shows as well. LP have headlined a LOT of festivals in 2015 across the U.S. and people loved it. Opening for Metallica at Rock In Rio 2015 wasn't too shabby either. But they headlined Monster Mash, BlizzCon, Rock On The Range (HUGE), Summerfest, etc. 2014 they played some other shows as well that were pretty big and different for the band (KFMA Day, Warped Tour, Comic Con, Almost Acoustic Christmas, etc.) 2013 saw the band headlining Sunset Strip Music Festival which was cool, and they also played a big show in Las Vegas in 2013, too. 2012 saw the band playing at places like the iHeart Radio Music Festival, Almost Acoustic Christmas and some more. 2011 also had some good one off shows as well for the band. So what I'm saying is, LP still holds a LIVE PRESENCE here. Just because they don't have as big of hits as they once did in the 2000's doesn't mean that they can't still have successful touring and what not. And when the day does come for LP here in the U.S., all they have to do is scale down the venues they are booking to a bit smaller places. I admittedly don't know much about how LP does touring in other countries but I do try and follow all the U.S. shows that the band does so I think they are still pretty big here.
  9. I think it was just a rumor then. Since there has never been any proof at all. And I'm positive you would have at least heard of it if it did happen. So the only known bands that we know turned down LP's offer for a fact are Muse and Interpol. Revolver 2007 confirms Muse because they had prior commitments and LPU8 Newsletter confirms Interpol since they weren't sure how they would fit on the bill. Thanks for the replies.
  10. Is there even any proof that Three Days Grace turned down LP's offer to tour with them? I've never been able to find a single interview or quote where it was mentioned. I know the old rumor was that they were asked to be on Projekt Revolution 2007 but they declined so LP asked My Chemical Romance, but that was proven false in the August 2007 issue of Revolver when Chester said that My Chemical Romance was his absolute first choice and that if they got them it didn't matter who else was on the bill. It's also revealed in that same interview that Muse was asked but declined since they had prior commitments. So Muse is confirmed, but it mentions nothing about Three Days Grace at all. I'm thinking maybe it was just a rumor at the time that stuck around for years? Because I've never been able to find literally anything on it for years and years.
  11. Well, this thread became a bummer!
  12. You're right that Blurryface has had a lot of touring but I could see them doing it. Heathens was also a big hit this past Summer so they could do a set of all their songs and stuff. And then probably wrap up the Blurryface cycle in 2017, it seems plausible to me. Haven't had a hit since 2009? Wtf? Burn It Down? Honda Civic Tour 2012 was the band's highest selling tour in their career and Living Things hit number one. Carnivores in 2014 was also huge and The Hunting Party still did pretty well, even though it wasn't number one here. As for their touring, they have played so many big festivals and have done so much touring here since 2009 to prove they are still a top band here. And with a new single and album coming that are likely to be MASSIVE, I only see them getting bigger. And Paramore is definitely no where near as big as LP at all. They haven't had an album in ages. They just fired their band. They just opened on a tour in the U.S. They aren't bigger here right now. Just because they have a new album coming doesn't mean they are this huge name. And Haley for the record is a huge fan of LP, she said after meeting Chester backstage at Soundwave in 2013, so she would never have any problem opening for LP. LP is a huge global band and not many bands would turn down a touring offer unless they're a bigger band like Muse or Metallica or Three Days Grace back in the day. LP also have a LOT of respect from bands nowadays, most bands that came out after 2001, I would say. So many bands have come out in recent years saying LP was an inspiration to them and everything else. Also, on Warped Tour 2014, Chester said basically every person from every band told him that LP was inspirational to them and they love their band, etc. Of coarse you won't see huge bands like Muse and Metallica and stuff doing that but you wouldn't expect it anyways. Metallica also happens to like LP a lot and likes playing with them according to James. Corey Taylor is cool with LP now and likes the band and Chester. LP have become respectable, especially in recent years. They're only getting bigger, honestly. You're right about twenty one pilots, they probably are bigger than LP at the moment, but Josh and Tyler are also fans of LP and it doesn't seem too out of the question that they might agree to be a co-headliner. Highly Suspect is a good guess and I think a lot of LP fans would like them, too.
  13. No, both are huge bands, but LP is bigger than Blink. It's not a situation like Muse or Metallica, which are bigger than LP. Although, California has done very well and is nominated for the band's first ever Grammy. 2017 will probably be a huge year for Blink. It might be a co-headlining tour if Blink is the support act, though, like Incubus and Thirty Seconds To Mars were. And Blink and LP are friends, so I don't see Blink having an issue with co-headlining with LP at all. LP also doesn't mind doing co-headlining tours because Chester has said a bunch of times that he doesn't care about that stuff, they just want to play, and they did it again with Carnivores after Incubus anyways. But yeah, I wouldn't mind twenty one pilots at all, even though I'm not in love with them. They do seem a bit too big right now to open or even co-headline with LP, but you never know. I think that Tyler and Josh are both fans of LP and 2017 will likely be the end of touring for Blurryface, so we might see it. And we all know Chester loves the band, not to mention the sound of the new LP album might be similar in a way to twenty one pilots as well.
  14. You'll have to get on board sooner or later, he is our president now.
  15. Agreed and LP wouldn't pick a band like that anyways.
  16. That could work but Starset is kind of meh...
  17. Another note worthy mention about Blink-182 is that like Hahninator said, they are up for a Grammy this year, the band's first ever one. That is huge. And California came out last summer. LP usually brings out bands who have just had an album come out a year or so before the tour. All the pieces really come to Blink-182 being the band, IMO. Also, this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCTJa14hR2c But there is another question, who is the other band? They have been bringing out two bands each time for a long time now.
  18. Agreed, I don't really want mainstream rock bands like a lot of the bands listed here. Blink-182 is cool to me because the first CD that I ever owned as a young kid was Enema Of The State, me and my best friend at the time both got the CD the same day because we loved All The Small Things (even though I don't like that particular track much anymore). And they're a great band and I would love to see them. All Time Low I love as well, and twenty one pilots would be cool as well but they are too big at this point, I think. The rest of the bands here don't interest me much. Rise Against and OM&M are both bands that the band has toured with in the past and they don't seem to ever repeat tour support in the U.S. Examples being The Used being on Projekt Revolution 2004 and LP chose them in Europe 2008, same as HIM being on Projekt Revolution 2007 and choosing them for support in 2008 in Europe as well. Thirty Second To Mars being support in Europe 2007 and doing Carnivores Tour 2014 here in the U.S. is another example. There are other examples as well. I want a band that they haven't done a proper tour with before, like Blink-182 or another band. I don't want bands they have already toured with or boring mainstream rock radio bands.
  19. They don't usually repeat opening bands for the U.S. tours at least. I don't think they will bring out OM&M again. But BMTH is a great guess, although, I don't think they will choose them.
  20. I've been thinking that Blink-182 will be the band that Linkin Park brings out for a while now. It's obvious that the band is friends with them at this point, since Mark Hoppus played the Music For Relief show in 2015 with the band and also played a few songs with them. And then the Music For Relief 2016 Poker Tournament Interview with Brad gave me more suspicion since Brad said he had just ran into Mark Hoppus a few days before the tournament at the studio and they talked about how they were making their new albums, etc. And then Blink-182 has been announced for a lot of shows in Europe with the band this Summer as well. I think they would be a good fit to tour with Linkin Park, I've seen a lot of people saying they want Linkin Park to tour with Blink-182 and the band hasn't done a proper tour with them before. They would also bring in good ticket sales by doing so. Let's also not forget that Blink-182 was also going to play on the Music For Relief show in 2005 as well, but they had to cancel, anyone remember Chester's speech about the band before Points Of Authority/99 Problems/One Step Closer? Haha. And the band has also collaborated with Travis Barker of Blink-182 several times before, too. Once in 2013 at Steve Aoki's show for A Light That Never Comes and again in 2014 at the Music For Relief Philippines show, he came out on Bleed It Out. I could see both bands getting along well on the road as well. Now, for other guesses at support acts, I think Fall Out Boy is a great guess, as well as All Time Low. I know Fall Out Boy has known the band for a while, and Mike is friends with the band as well, I believe. There is also that recent Christmas photo of Mike and Chester with Pete Wentz and Jared Leto. I think Fall Out Boy first met the band in 2013 in Japan at Summer Sonic and they took that group photo. They also opened for the band in 2014 in Europe, I believe. I could see them as a band that would fit well with LP as well. All Time Low would also be a cool choice. I think Jack from All Time Low is friends with Mike and a lot of people that Mike is friends with, and they're kind of an up and coming band, they might be cool as the opener of the tour or something. I also used to think twenty one pilots would be their choice because of Chester's fanboy love for them on Twitter over the last few years but I think they're too big at this point to open for LP. Either way, can't wait to see who they decide to bring out and I'll be at as many shows as I can be. I'm super excited since I haven't seen LP since Carnivores because the last tour was cancelled and what not. I'm more excited for the next U.S. Tour than the album at this point. Great post, Hahninator.
  21. Can someone rip this in MP3
  22. Great point, Hahninator. I see nothing wrong with giving a break between shows. And that's cool that Metallica does that for James, I think it would work for Chester, too.
  23. Sure he will have bad performances with LP sometimes. It's natural. I can think of a LOT of vocalists in bands that feature screaming and aggressive singing like LP and they are always horrible live. Chester isn't always horrible and he is one of the best, too. I think people just like to criticize his vocals sometimes, but this recoding of Kings Of Chaos proves that he can still bring it as one of the best in the world. And when he is on with LP, he is on, and it sounds great. Anyways, I think the new album will really gain some respect for Chester's vocals amongst the hardcore fans, etc.
  24. Yeah. I'm not saying that he isn't great doing rock songs like these ones, because he is, he is one of the best in the business for doing those style of songs, but that isn't to say that he can't sing well in other ways as well. Actually, some of my favorite singing of his are from songs by LP like Powerless, In My Remains, The Catalyst, Burning In The Skies, Valentine's Day, Leave Out All The Rest, Shadow Of The Day, In Pieces, The Little Things Give You Away, etc. He is really good with emotional, slow singing like he does on those songs. And he also can deliver screams like no other as we've all heard on songs like Keys To The Kingdom, Qwerty, Given Up, Don't Stay, One Step Closer, A Place For My Head, Faint, From The Inside, A Line In The Sand, Blackout, No More Sorrow and more. I think the reason he sounds so great on these rock covers are because he loves singing songs like these, he always has, he has been doing so since like 2006 with Camp Freddy and various other groups and shows since then. As for the new album, like I said, we may hear a side of Chester that he have not heard as of yet. Some of the terms used so far for it are soulful, emotional, etc. I think the only time we have ever heard soulful singing from Chester was on a track like Slow Ya Roll by Young Buck, his singing is incredible at the end of that song and he has never really sang like that any other time that I know of. But anyways, I think we will be seeing huge, awesome vocals from Chester on this new LP album and hopefully he will continue to do Kings Of Chaos shows and stuff in the future as well.
  25. I think the new LP album is going to show a different side of Chester with LP. They have talked about trying new things with his voice during the making of this album and also I think the music will bring out that emotion within Chester that we love, too, since the songs are very personal, etc. Chester said that Talinda asked him if that was even him singing on one of the songs, so we know it will be a bit different. I love Chester's voice with these rock bands as much as the next guy, but that isn't to say that his vocals aren't any good in LP. I love his vocals on electronic heavy songs that the band has done as well as other styles. I think Chester's voice works well with a lot of different music unlike most people think here.
