  1. No doubt they'll be doing various STP songs since Robert DeLeo is there as well and we know Chester loves doing STP songs. But I do hope we get OSC as well, I'd like to hear it.
  2. I agree. Demos are cool, it's just that they don't give us GOOD demos, IMO. We know they have so much epic stuff in the vault in terms of demos but they won't released a large portion of it, it seems. And it's not just songs that they might potentially use again, even demos of songs that made the albums would be cool to hear, like I have been saying, it's just that they don't give us the truly cool ones.
  3. Damn, I was assuming that since Linkin Park is Chester's band and STP isn't that he might do a few LP songs. If they do OSC that would be really cool, he did it with Camp Freddy in 2012, etc and OSC sounded pretty good to me. I'd love to hear some LP songs at this show.
  4. Wow, I'm way more excited for the Boston show now. I hope there are definitely some LP songs in there.
  5. Anybody have the cursive looking logo used on the LPU 5 CD cover?
  6. Only one that I disagree with you on is Heartburn off of LPU XIV. I think it's 2006, not 2007.
  7. Thinking about getting the Meteora era box logo tattooed this week.
  8. Astat, do you think ''Symphonies Of Light Reprise (2010 Demo)'' came before The Catalyst demo that we got on LPU16? Or after?
  9. Thanks, Soul. Didn't even think about WID actually. Everyone else's suggestions are really cool, too. So Far Away was a great choice as well, didn't think about that song, either. Thanks everyone. As for UIG, I do think the lyrics in the chorus are a little cliche, but that doesn't mean the message of the song is crap. It's relatable and the lyrics in the verse are really cool, too.
  10. I wanted to ask LPL to help me find a song by Linkin Park that relates to a situation I'm currently dealing with. Basically, I've been friends with this person for years and we kind of had a thing back in the day. But time has passed and things just aren't as close as they once were, and I'm feeling a little regretful about not making things work as good as I could have back then and also kind of just bummed that it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Anybody have any ideas? I've been thinking stuff like UIG, FM, Powerless, a lot of LT, LOATR, etc
  11. Epic post. I don't think I need to even edit my post anymore thanks to yours. Cleared up a lot of stuff.
  12. Maybe it would be easier to just label them as stuff like ''Minutes To Midnight Demo'' or ''Meteora Demo'' like they have done on LPU12 for instance. Maybe that's easy enough for the band, but who knows, they might even get the damn album wrong for the demos, too. LOL.
  13. I think we should have a huge discussion on what the actual dates are for the demos in our own opinion since we know that a lot of them are wrong. It would make sense to start with LPU9 and everything after it since everything before LPU9 doesn't really apply. I think LPU9 has correct dates for the tracks except for maybe Sad being from 1998 like Stick N Move and not 1999 like it's labeled as. Unfortunate: 2002 What We Don't Know: 2007 Oh No: 1998, like Sad and Stick N Move I Have Not Begun: Most likely 2009, Mike rapped it live in January 2010 Pale: 2006 Pretend To Be: I think it was tweaked up in 2008 but the actual song is from 2006 like Chance Of Rain Divided: I'm thinking early 2006 with the batch of FM era ones like Basquiat, Universe, etc. What I've Done (M. Shinoda Remix): 2007. Coal: 1997, MAYBE 1998 Halo: 2002 Yo: 2006 Slip: 1999 (Chester didn't join the band until 1999 so the 1998 is obviously false) Soundtrack: 2002 In The End (Demo): 1999 Program: 2002 Bang Three: Was either late 2006 or 2007 Robot Boy: 2009 or most likely 2010, I'm leaning towards 2010 Broken Foot: 2002 Esaul: 1999 Blue: 1999 (Chester didn't join the band until 1999 so the 1998 is obviously false) Homecoming: 2006 Points Of Authority (Demo): 1999 Clarity: 2006 Asbestos: 2006 Bunker: 2006 So Far Away: 1999 (Chester didn't join the band until 1999 so the 1998 is obviously false) Pepper: 2002 Debris: I don't think this was ever a MTM era song at all, I think it was made for ATS in 2009 or 2010 Ominous: 2002 Forgotten (Demo): 1999 Basquiat: 2006 Holding Company: 2011 Primo: 2010 seems correct Hemispheres: 2011 Cumulus: 2002 Pretty Birdy: 2002 Universe: 2006 Apaches: 2011 Foot Patrol: 2011 Three Band Terror: 2011 Will do the others after.
  14. Well that's pretty stupid if they don't. Surely they have access to all that info and it might just require like 20 mins of time. It's kind of sad when the fan base can label the dates for demos correctly and the actual band can't.
  15. It's funny to me that Burberry and Dark Crystal are from StageLight demos that are almost 4 years old and they are passed off as 2015. I highly doubt that Air Force One is even from 2015 as well. Actually, I don't even think ANY of the demos that we have received since LPU9 are even legit. I think they just get together and spend a day or a few hours making random instrumentals and a few vocal songs and throw them together. The demos of songs that have made the cut onto main albums were probably just re-recorded, we probably aren't even getting the actual demos for those songs. I've thought this for years now and the whole Burberry thing just really confirmed it for me. I first started thinking about it with shit like Homecoming on LPU12. It sounded finished for the most part, like Chance Of Rain or something, and I can almost guarantee that they just muted the vocals off of it before giving it to us because they didn't want people to hear it or whatever. It sounded way too polished and primed for vocals to not have been. I also think stuff like the Faint and Bleed It Out demos probably had chorus vocals from Chester or something that they didn't want people to have recordings of, so they were muted and/or replaced with random jibberish. You can almost tell with the Bleed It Out demo that the gibberish lyrics were from a different recording than the vocals in the verses, most noticeable at the end of the track with Mike's rapping and the gibberish lyrics clash. People can argue that LP is re-using Space Station for the new album but I don't believe that at all. The band has never been comfortable giving us demos in the past, fans literally begged for them in the old days and they would never really give us anything. I think they felt guilty after LPU8 and the reception it originally had and that's how LPU9 happened. But they probably figure, how will they know if these tracks are legit or not? And if people do get suspicious, they'll just come off as crazy. I've seen people not even know what Space Station is and thought Burberry was a legit 2015 demo. Only the super hardcore fans are going to question stuff like this and know facts about this kind of stuff. I've also seen people say that people don't have a right to complain because it's free. Technically, it's not supposed to be free, and what kind of logic is that? People aren't allowed to complain about a product? People can't be unsatisfied with music? Music is 100% subjective and always has been. But also, yes, I am grateful that the band is releasing stuff to us each year. I always get excited each November that we MIGHT be getting some sick shit on the LPU CD, but I'm usually disappointed each time around. I just think that the band isn't 100% honest when it comes to these LPU CD's and I don't think they even really care about what they're putting out on these anyways. But back to the whole 2015 thing, I honestly believe that they just took these instrumentals that they had laying around from years ago and purposely picked ones that somewhat sounded like stuff they have been working on over the past few years and threw the 2015 date on them and slapped them on the CD. Not only do I think that the band feels uncomfortable giving us music from the new album sessions before the album comes out, but I don't think Warner really likes that idea, either. And you can argue that they have gave us stuff like this is in the past, with A.06 before Meteora came out, and Announcement Service Public and Qwerty before MTM came out, but I guarantee A.06 and Announcement Service Public weren't selections to make the final album and we already knew Qwerty wasn't being considered for the album a while before LPU6 came out. Like I said, I don't think the band themselves even feel comfortable doing that to this current day and I don't think Warner likes that idea, either.
  16. I think single in March, album in June.
  17. Songs that made the cut version. 01. Stick N' Move (1998 Demo) 02. Primo (2010 Demo) 03. Faint (2002 Demo) 04. Bleed It Out (2007 Demo) 05. Figure.09 (2002 Demo) 06. Breaking The Habit (2002 Demo) 07. Pretty Birdy (2002 Demo) 08. Bang Three (2007 Demo) 09. Esaul (1999 Demo) 10. Points Of Authority (1999 Demo) 11. Fear (2006 Demo) 12. Holding Company (2011 Demo) 13. Apaches (2011 Demo) 14. The Catalyst (Demo) 15. In The End (1999 Demo) That's how I feel about Faint from Live In Texas. Something about that performance and the way it was mixed is fucking amazing to me, always has been. Faint used to be my favorite LP song for years until WID replaced it for me. But it's still my 2nd favorite LP song and is my favorite live track the band has ever put out, IMO.
  18. Linkin Park don't seem like the kind of people that would just drop people they've been working with for years and have had relationships with for years. I'm sure they'll keep Pooch and everyone else. I highly doubt they will even be touring by March. It's almost December and we still don't even have a first single yet. I don't even think the band is done writing the album yet as of right now. The way they worked on this album cycle is different than LT and THP were. MTM and ATS were both done when WID and TC officially dropped, I believe, while when BID and GATS were officially dropped, they were still writing the album and they came out months before. I think that's how they're doing it this time around as well. I think there is still around 3 months of time that the band is going to spend writing the album and finishing it up, then comes choosing the single, choosing the promo for this run, choosing the artwork, choosing the album title, setting up shows and marketing, etc. I think we are still a ways away, as much as I hate to say it. I'm thinking maybe a May or June 2017 release for the album at this point since 2016 is basically over and we still don't even have a single yet.
  19. I don't see why they couldn't get a new crew if they needed to. Linkin Park is a huge band and I'm sure a lot of people would be willing to work with them. But then comes learning everything, etc.
  20. Wish we got demos of songs that made the cut instead of the other shit here.
  21. 01. Aubrey One 02. Can't Hurt Me 03. What We Don't Know 04. Cumulus 05. Homecoming 06. Air Force One 07. Soundtrack 08. Chance Of Rain 09. Broken Foot 10. Slip 11. Symphonies Of Light Reprise 12. Primo
  22. Like I said above, going to the Boston show of this tour, less than a month away now.
  23. Not sure about a trial version, I don't think there is, but like I said, I'm not sure. As for the LPUTV videos, there is probably some kind of a bug with the site...
  24. Well, LP Underground 16 has been released, so it's time to see what everyone would want to hear on the next release, LP Underground 17.
  25. Bleed It Out v1 How did this all come back around Left for dead when I hit the ground After everything Now I've found That you've set me up just to knock me down Here and now is where this begins I don't know what your sickness is But I do know what the difference is You just show that face for your witnesses Just talk and talk and talk and lie With every little word You rot inside You're not really gonna stop and try To make right of the wrong you've caught me by So I know what's happening I see that web you're trappin' in You can kid yourself now all you want I'm not falling for that again CH Jibberish melody v2 Forget about all that who and when The hurt you knew that drew me in The dirt you rubbed my bruises in The guilt that I felt when the rules were bent This is where the brand new begins This is where the confusion ends I don't care if I lose or win I just know that I don't want to pretend So just talk and talk and laugh and grin Here we go just like that again Back to get stabbed in the back again Like the last time wasn't just practicing This time here's what's happening I see that web you're trappin' in You can kid yourself now all you want I'm not falling for that again This time here's what's happening I see that web you're trappin' in You can kid yourself now all you want I'm not falling for that again This time here's what's happening I see that web you're trappin' in You can kid yourself now all you want I'm not falling for that again
