Just watched the iTunes interview on the ITV website; Mike says for this gig he’s reminded of a venue in Chester’s hometown Phoenix, AZ. Out of curiosity had a look on that year and I see:

01.07.2001 Phoenix, AZ Blockbuster Desert Sky Pavilion (8,000 / 20,000)

or

11.11.2001 Phoenix, AZ Veteran's Memorial Coliseum (14,000)

He could’ve meant to say 2000, it’s hard to pinpoint memories 10 years ago. But got me wondering, how many small venue (<=4000 capacity) gigs have LP played?

I was also reading some posts further back (like GraDoN #766) about talking in the show and I think that lines should be re-used each night. So long as they don't out and out lie by saying this is the best crowd we've had on tour at each night, it's fine. It is a performance. Most nights they will have great crowds and if those standard lines brings the crowd into the performance and excites them, then they should say it each night. But as Hahninator says, they aren't just saying everything the same (#829) which is awesome.

On the other hand, I do believe strongly in taking a few minutes to talk to fans. What I miss are the little intermissions, kidding around, introducing a song, thanking the audience or fans, pick them up lines, side to side singing battles (think that would be sweet on W&K). Chester thanked the MFR auction winners at iTunes, but given that they are passionate about MFR, they should talk about it at each gig for 3 minutes or so - especially here where it would be televised because the message gets out that way.

More dialogue should come back, but I can understand if they want to be professional (especially for televised) and give a solid performance with disrupting momentum.

I do agree with Hahninator on #739 that they are rushing through the set a bit, but is this more because of time more than anything else? I always see the 1hour30-45 as a bit low in comparison to some other artists, but, its a good amount and I'm not complaining - I hear what I want and there isn't a lull. I do remember hearing Joe asking Mike at the Summit about enough time, so by not speaking are they trying to squeeze more in for us each night?

I can't seem to download the Russian torrent, can anyone provide me with a megaupload/similar of the HD 720p show? It was basically the best night of my life, front row! :D

Actually, does anybody know if there are HD videos on youtube of all the songs, or similar?

what most of the people that want talking dont realize is the more they talk the more it takes away from the set. 3 minutes? Thats an entire song right there. The band has to be off the stage at a certain time so they dont get their asses fined lol

Was discussing this with my Dad last night and I completely agree with you on this!

Yeah I understand that, it's what I was meaning about enough time. But you look at other acts, and they spend a lot longer on stage - I thought the O2 had a curfew time until I saw Bon Jovi there.

- Boils down to, a curfew of the venue (sound reasons or next event prep.);

- They have to move all the kit to a new location within a day or two, so they have to finished on time to do that;

- And Chester's voice might be put under too much pressure night-on-night if they stay on stage longer.

A lot of bands have the same attitude as LP, but once in a little while, a longer set (extra 15m) would be awesome. They can take a break for 5, have a talk with the crowd/a rest and we feel happier with those extra 2 songs.

Last time I checked, no. I need a different way to download it though because nothing anyone has posted is something I can use. I tried converting the file too and that didn't work.

Yeah, I've got the same problem, the russian torrent is no good, since it denies me access, I'm not on demonoid, and the rapidshare blu-ray upload was apparently not working. There are only a few videos in HD on youtube, it's just I very much NEED them, since I see myself in like seven songs at the front. :D

Get the 3.35 GB 720p version from rutracker, demonoid or where ever, yiz can even find a torrent link in our download section. Get this version, it's perfect!

It's supposed to be the original stream so that's the best you can get your hands on.

Idk...I might not care if the band would drop a song to talk to the crowd for a few minutes. Songs like In The End, Numb, Crawling, etc. I could do without hearing.
