If I had a better quality version of the 2001 live version, then I would probably prefer it over the 2009 studio one. But since that's not the case...I have to give my vote to the Dead by Sunrise version.

Im going with 2006 remix. How can anyone possibly like the 2009 version over the 2006 version? The vocals and gutiars sound the same, but the 2006 version has even more of an electronic feel and has a faster tempo. Along with the EPIC ending, it's just way better then the 2009 version.

 

2001 version sounded cool, but the quality was terrible.

 

I'm going with 2006> 2001> 2009 versions, respectively

i wish chester would officially rename the remixed version tho.

dont like having 2 morning afters by 2 different artists (dead by sunrise and chester b. vs. julien-k)

I voted for the BOW live version. I loved that version, especially the screaming Chester did during the solo that he didn't do on the album version.

I love the new studio version. Its not as electronic-orriented as the remix was, although it doesnt have the epic ending...

I'm a sucker for the 2006 Julien-K remix. I just love how electronic the song is, and how well it fits! Buuut... I like the studio version, too! The intro riffs are heavier than expected - very nice! I also liked the 2001 acoustic version but I would love to hear that in an even better quality, actually! It's always difficult to compare live versions with studio tracks imo.

The final version of Morning After is Chester's wish and taste. The guitars are more audible and groovy. They shouldn't leave this song out of every live gig.

I know earlier I said the remix was, but I changed my mind. Studio and the 2009 semi-acoustic are my favorites now. I say semi-acoustic because the only thing acoustic about it is the guitars.

I like the older live versions, they sound much less polished and manufactured, which I prefer.
