LPU9 CD

I guess that they must be extremely cut to fit one CD... :P

I saw all his posts in Deeper Catalogue. I'm very glad to see him posting there.

And I really wouldn't be surprised if they released any of the DEMOs from the DEMO CDs we've all already got, including She Couldn't. Maybe somewhere remastered to sound better, etc.

If they have versions without all the static, I'd seriously be cool with an upgraded version of the 8-track demo as the LPU9 CD. I know most people would disagree with me on that, but I think it'd be cool of them to put forth the effort to release an upgraded version of something that the fans worked to get released in the first place.

However, given that they couldn't get the sample clearance to release She Couldn't on two separate occasions 10 years apart, I highly doubt that they'd magically be able to do it this time. Plus I still fully believe that Warner has a vicegrip on She Couldn't and other tracks like it, and won't even consider releasing it.

Also, something else to ponder, take a look at this post: http://forums.linkinpark.com/showthread.ph...7233#post517233

Mike's wording there really intrigues me. If Pictureboard had never been recorded, as has been speculated, he wouldn't "think" that all the versions of it he's found online are fake, he'd know for sure that they are. That seems to indicate that not only was Pictureboard recorded at some point, but it must have been sent to people outside the band in some manner, to enough of an extent that Mike thinks it could possibly surface on the Internet.

Again, as with She Couldn't, I can't see Warner allowing Pictureboard to be released, but I think it's safe to say that the band at least recorded it and that it does exist somewhere.

I wouldn't mind getting those songs without static too.

As to his post about Pictureboard, I think he meant that he was searching for live versions of it, cause it was played live once, and all those recordings he found were fake.

Some the songs I would like to see make it to the LPU9 are...

Maybe a finished Grecian or Japan

The famous 6th String Song

(And a few others I cant think of right now)

Plus throw in a real nice high Quality recording of New Divide Live and Mike doing his special versions of POA over the summer tour.

I'm not familiar with that one for some reason. Is that the little interlude the played at Rock Im Park, and Rock am Ring?

Unless I'm mistaken, that refers to a song that had a string section recorded for MTM but didn't make it to the album.

If you watch the MTM DVD, at the section where they show the strings (Violins, cello, etc.) being recorded, there's one part where for about 3 seconds there is a song playing, Chester singing, which was not on the album.

A name for the song doesn't appear or anything like that. You see one guy standing in the booth playing his instrument.

Now go see.

Going out of control in 3,2,1!!!!

Haha! I read it! It will be awesome!!!! I suggested to include in the cd the New Divide demo played on piano and Mike singing it just like we saw at the LPTV "making of new divide" video! The LPU9 is going to rock!!!!

If it's other Transformers demos, hell yes. If it's Mike remixing other LP songs, hell yes. If it's other unreleased LP demos (aka Faint demo or 6th string song) - fuck, I will go crazy. AWESOME. If it is anything except She Couldn't / Plaster, live tracks or LPU 8 crap, I will party.

Here's to hoping the CD rocks. Unreleased LP demos = MAJOR WIN.

My predictions:

- 6th string song

- Instrumental

- Demo of an MTM song (like BIO) or New Divide demo

- One other b-side

- New Divide live

- One other live track

Please god no She Couldn't or demos we already have, LMAO. That'd be the biggest Ponzi Scheme I've ever seen, hahaha. What if we finally got Pictureboard? Oh my god that'd be ridiculously cool. Nominate Shinoda for a Grammy, lol.

From Mike on the LPUMB

"LPU 9 CD

There's a rumor going around that the next LPU (9) CD might have some unreleased demos on it. I can neither confirm nor deny it, nor can I confirm nor deny that I am the one who started the rumor. I can also neither confirm nor deny whether or not I am confusing myself and/or you."

I hope this time it will come true. We will see.

The orgasmic part is that he said unreleased demos...plural

I doubt we get anything from Meteora because they would have put it out there already and i can't see them digging that stuff up, but a remix would be cool.

Demos from m2m would be nice (fingers crossed). something heavy and something with mike rapping. please mike please
