LESTAT Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Chester COMPLETELY rewrote "My Suffering". Tempe 2008: Stuttgart 2009: Thoughts? Which version do you like better? Quote
Andros Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 wow yeah maybe the "My Suffering" of Tempe is a Demo version and this is the final version, I think ^^ Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 (edited) wow yeah maybe the "My Suffering" of Tempe is a Demo version and this is the final version, I think ^^ OH MYY GODX YOU SO RIGHT NEVER THOUGHT THAT WAS A POSSIBILITY. _______________ I like tempe's version better, he screamed a lot there.. he should have changed the whole guitar sound, it just sounds lame. Andros Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 the old version was screams in the verses and it was a bit short I like both Quote
Numbrocker Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I like both. Both have good parts. Though who knows what the studio version will sound like. Quote
Andros Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 (edited) "OH MYY GODX YOU SO RIGHT NEVER THOUGHT THAT WAS A POSSIBILITY." a bit of sarcasm hahahaha Edited July 31, 2009 by andros Quote
Conjure Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I'm disappointed. I was really looking forward to getting the one that was heavier in the verses. Quote
jonah915 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 (edited) Well, we've got to consider the fact that this is a mainstream record. Of course the label and producer would have to make it more mass-friendly by toning down the verses. Not surprised it was changed. Either that or it was because you could hardly make out what he's saying in the demo/original version. edit: I liked the screaming better but I could live with the final version. spraypaintninkpens Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Wow they sucked the energy out of it. Club tattoo version is much better; it sounded unique then, now not so much. Quote

The ct tattoo version had screaming in the verses( I was there), and now they took it out . This was the one song I liked and now I don't really like it. Quote
_Shifter_ Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I am quite disappointed, I think the screaming in the verses really made the song. I don't like the new version, it is too soft in my opinion. Quote
thefly Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I love the verses in both versions, love the energy in the first version, but I also can't find much fault with the new one when Chester's performing it so wonderfully. No, the true crime is that the awesome bridge is gone, replaced by ... well, almost no bridge at all. Now that's a shame and something I can't really understand ... Quote
phill715 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I liked the 2008 version a hell of a lot better but I'm sure it'll sound great on the CD either way. Quote
lphavik17 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I like the demo version better but both of them are good chrous is very catchy Quote
Xero21 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Yeah I have to go with the first one. I was really looking forward to hearing that on the album. Quote
zuben7o7 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 From what I hear, out of my personal taste, I won't be a big fan of this album. In those Stuggart videos, he sings in such a different tone than what he does for a lot of LP songs, I just don't prefer it. However, I hope it is good, I will certainly be checking out the CD when it comes out. Quote
Subs Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Guys, my internet is being an absolute fucking twat, can someone convert My Suffering and Fire to mp3 and post it up ? Really, i cant get past 20 seconds of my suffering and have got about a minute and a bit into fire. I really wanna hear the whole damn thing. Not even my converter is working. Pardon the french. Quote
Astat Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Doesn't make much of a difference to me, the music is what made the song IMO, and that hasn't really changed at all. Quote
danielpsoad-09 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I prefer the 1st version. I want some heavy stuff on the album. I really hope Chester sang it without screamings because he was 'tired' because of the whole LP set, and wanted to save energy for the three final LP songs. Well, I guess we'll have to wait until the album version comes out. Quote
