Considering the lyrics between the two versions are COMPLETELY different, I would say with about 98% certainty that that was not the case. The lyrics he sang this time, although you can't really tell what the lyrics were before, are different. They'd have to be because he's singing slower than he was screaming before. EDIT: Astat beat me to this point And don't get me wrong, I love songs with singing. I actually think Fire will be one of my favorite songs off the album. Maybe Chester just sang the verses live instead of scream because it would have taken a lot out of him? Regardless, first version was better. The song just had so much energy. To be honest, DBS sounds just a bit too melodic for me. No song has really impressed me that much so far, to the point where i'm just looping it over and over again like an LP song. I've been really excited for it ever since he announced he was even doing a solo album, way back in 2005. I pretty much loved every song I've heard from the album so far.
