It sounds very generic for me. When I heard the first teaser I always had to think about some Lana Del Ray song and now it sounds like Graveyard Whistling by Nothing But Thieves for me. I hope that will change once the proper song comes out.
Because dropping something out of the blue doesn't work, artists release their first single before the album drops. The single itself is supposed to be a promotion. I don't know if I ever encountered a promotion period for the first single of any other artists. So either a) no one else is doing it or they are doing it and it doesn't work (at least it never worked for me).
Since that is my personal perception it is probably completely off, so maybe someone can point me to some other first single promotions other artists did?
Also even if their intention is to promote the first single, they are doing a horrible job. Look at their Facebook page. There is no information about what is happening. Either someone screwed up or they are doing very weird things.
I think these pictures were only posted in the shoutbox before:
The only difference between them is that one is more zoomed in.
Edit: Seeing them next to each other for the first time: it's not more zoomed in, but the format is a little bit different.
I am wondering what exactly they want. As far as I know webservices that are based in the US and host user generated content are obligated to delete content as soon as the copyright holder claims copyright violations. That's the most sane solution in my opinion (even though fucked up things happened because of big companies abusing the system) so I can't see what these "big names" want to be changed?
Even if the money gets crowdfunded: you would reward someone greedy which I couldn't stand at all. Sure he wants a reward for what he has done but no way it's worth that amount of money.
Forums in general are getting less and less attention. Before the rise of social media forums where the place to gather people for a certain topic. Nowadays internet is mostly Facebook and other social media for a lot of people. It's one condensed space where they get everything they want: social interacting, updates about stuff they care about and funny cat pics. There is no need to create an account on multiple platforms just to follow a certain topic.
For the lower numbers in regards of facebook follower I guess the reason is: people don't care about a random fansite they have no other connection with. So if the site is not growing the social media around it won't grow as well.
Weren't people saying the same thing a few days before GATS was teased?
We have pretty much no insight into how far they are and I guess the chances for getting 2016 dates are pretty much the same chances for getting no dates this year.
I just skipped through the videos but it seems like the crowd absolutely enjoys the show and they even seem to be more energetic than a lot of proper LP crowds (I guess 80% of the crowd would never go to a LP show).
Also I really dig the intro. Sounds pretty epic.
I hope they do a full dance music album just to piss people off. What's wrong with you guys? It's one picture and most of you are already mad as shit. Calm down and just wait what's happening.
