  1. A few quick corrections: http://lplive.net/stonetemplepilots/20130530.php Velvet Revolver consisted of Scott Weiland, Slash, Duff, Dave Kushner and Matt Sorum. Slash and Duff joining Chester, Eric, Rob and Dean isn't even a partial Velvet Revolver reunion. http://lplive.net/stonetemplepilots/20130628.php The second song is called Big Empty. First Time w/ Chester as well. ...and Big Empty.
  2. From StoneTemplePilots.com: "The biggest and only metal festival in Japan is back! Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington will take the stage on Saturday, October 19th, 2013 at Loud Park 2013 in Saitama City, Japan at the Saitama Super Arena! This will mark the bands second trip to Japan since 1993! Loud Park 2013 features 24 bands on two different stages over two days. Ticket information is available soon. For more information visit http://www.loudpark.com" STP also has an Oklahoma City date in September. Does anyone think this is a sign of a full tour or maybe just a few shows here and there?
  3. You are right, but he also performed "Big Empty". Definitely not the best song for this event.Well, at least it wasn't "Sex Type Thing". lol. That would be priceless.
  4. Yes. I'll check out if it's true, but that's what I was told.
  5. I believe....don't quote me on that, but I believe someone has a version of "Karma Killer" without Chester. Let me find this person again.
  6. I am really sorry...lolYep, it wasn't released on any of the known CDs. It is possible that some promo CDs were made before the single was scrapped, but it's just a guess. The admin of some really old Cyclefly website once told me that "Karma Killer" from "Santa Monica" compilation is exactly the same as the album version, but I'm not sure if we can 100% rely on her ear. So, to sum it all up, there are currently 2 versions of "Karma Killer" in circulation: 1. The album version 2. The single version (Remixed by Bill Appleberry. Released through MySpace) There is also a possibility that the "Santa Monica" version is different, because it was released a year earlier, but we can't verify this, because this CD is really rare. Happy to be helpful!
  7. Bill Appleberry remixed Karma Killer for the single release, but the single was scrapped. That's what Declan told me, when I asked him about the different version of this song from the Cyclefly's MySpace player. I posted this info a few years ago and that's where the title "Bill Appleberry Remix" comes from. "Single Version" would be more accurate, though.
  8. Stone Temple Pilots were going to contribute their song "All In The Suit That You Wear" to the Spider-Man soundtrack. They didn't get it to be the lead track (the studio decided to use Chad Kroeger's "Hero" instead), so they kept it to themselves. I can imagine they weren't the only band to do the same.
  9. Yeah. I recently asked Serg to send me the exact quote from the person he contacted in 2007 and was shocked that it was from STP's official channel (inactive right now). We were basically sitting on the answer for many years paying no attention. I contacted the webmaster of their official site and he confirmed everything. He is the same guy who ran their YouTube channel. He was pretty close to the band. He is basically Adam of STP world.
  10. Dead By Sunrise - Too Late (Instrumental)
  11. Sorry, can't find the link. It was from some very old site indeed. Not LP fansite, I think. All I remember is that there no details about it at all. It was sort of a report about the tour that just kicked off. The post reported about various on stage collaborations and mentioned Chester joining Staind on "Outside" among others without any further info.
  12. I think the page should be deleted, however the information on this track is still should be somewhere on the site. IMO, the perfect place would be the Tour Summary / Information page (you can see the link at the top of Chester's page) that is still "under construction". I can't think of the better place for this kind of info as well as all of the unconfirmed rumors about Chester joining various bands on stage, like Staind on "Outside" during Family Values tour and Adema on "Giving In" during Projekt Revolution 2002. I think staff should definitely add those 5 canceled dates. No need to point out the rescheduled ones, though. I wouldn't say it adds anything to the track, but I definitely don't love the track less. It's a fantastic recording that for some reasons needed to be released the way it was.
  13. Here are some notes regarding Family Values 2001 thing: - The song "Wonderful" by Stone Temple Pilots and Chester from the Family Values CD (released in 2002) is not a live track. It was completely recorded in the studio AFTER the Family Values tour and the crowd noise was added. It was confirmed by highly reliable source. I was hoping to get some more details on the subject, but no luck. During the interview with the Baltimore radiostation in 2002 Scott said that the track was recorded during a pre-show acoustic set for radio contest winners. There were at least 3 acoustic radio sets in between Family Values shows, but none of them featured Chester. Interesting that during the Sacramento show Scott said that "Linkin Park and STP are putting a song together and it should be out fairly soon". It certainly doesn't sound like he was talking about releasing a live recording at that point. Also, there's not many recordings to confirm this as solid fact, but it looks like Scott first started to sing "Aaaahhh-Ahhh" over the solo somewhere in 2002 and it kinda confirms the fact that they came up with this version long after the Family Values tour. They planned to release the track as the lead single from the FV 2001 CD with some kind of music video, but the plans were scrapped. - There was a single report that Chester once joined Staind on stage to perform "Outside" somewhere at the beginning of the tour. It was never confirmed by anybody or anything else. - The tour's itinerary was rerouted many times and 5 shows were canceled altogether. The official tour Web site stated: "Due to circumstances beyond our control the Family Values Tour required rerouting. Several shows previously scheduled will no longer take place; these are: Houston, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Little Rock, and Las Vegas. These shows will not be rescheduled for a later date." Here are some of the announced itineraries: October 11th Cleveland, OH - CSU Convocation Center October 12th Rosemont, IL - Allstate Arena October 13th St. Paul, MN - Xcel Energy Center October 15th Auburn Hills, MI - Palace Of Auburn Hills October 16th Indianapolis, IN - Conseco Fieldhouse October 18th Washington, DC - MCI Center October 19th Columbus, OH - Schottenstein Center October 20th Toronto, ON - Toronto Skydome October 22nd Philadelphia, PA - First Union Center October 26th Worcester, MA - The Centrum October 30th Charlotte, NC - Charlotte Coliseum October 31st Atlanta, GA - Philips Arena November 2nd Fort Lauderdale, FL - National Car Rental Center November 3rd Tampa, FL - Ice Palace November 4th Biloxi, MS - Miss. 14. During Mike's speech on Musicares he said he met Chester around 1997. lol
  15. The show is not over.
  16. Don't have anything to add as for now, but I've always wondered if they changed the name to Hybrid Theory before, right after Chester joined the band or a little bit later.
  17. Looks like you are looking at their wiki pages:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Core_(Stone_T...e_Pilots_album) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple_(album) You just missed the note that says "All lyrics written by Scott Weiland, except where noted". Scott Weiland wrote or co-wrote every song on every album.
  18. Seriously, best thread idea ever. The show notes is what makes the guide interesting. It's very annoying when you randomly browsing the show pages to find something cool and all you can see is empty spaces. Even pages of some of the most popular shows are criminally empty. Imho, there should be everything remotely related to the show. This thread is going to be huge. EDIT: 08.07.2000 West Hollywood, CA, Whisky A Go Go - At the beginning of the set Mike welcomed the crowd and thanked the previous band called Half Cocked for leaving the microphones smelling "fruity and fresh". 23.09.2000 Peoria, AZ, Peoria Sport's Complex, KEDG's That Damn Show '00 - A fan named Tyler that covered his whole body with Linkin Park stickers was invited to the stage for the band's entire set. - Waterface, the band that originated from Chester's previous band Grey Daze, was also on the bill. 02.06.2001 Nürnberg, BY, Rock im Park - Guns n' Roses, have cancelled their appearance only weeks before the festival. Failing to replace them, the organizers have just moved Limp Bizkit one slot forward and now they're headlining. Center stage: Boy Hits Car, OPM, 3 Doors Down, Linkin Park, Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit Alternate stage: Echt, Travis - At some point of the day the presenters of the festival told the crowd that "There's a little change in the programme tonight: Slipknot will NOT play. Instead Linkin Park will play again. Slipknot have played a gig in Bremen last night, but since then the band has dissappeared, we have no idea where they are". - Since the band filled in for Slipknot, Chester came out on stage with a paper mask covering his face. This doesn't go down exactly that well and people started booing. 02.02.2002 Madison, WI, Veterans Memorial Coliseum - The venue's no moshing/no body surfing policy was completely forgotten once the band took the stage. Chester: "I see a lot of you fuckers surfing and moshing out there. We love that. Just show each other some respect. When somebody falls down, you pick 'em up!". He also added: "The strongest woman is a woman who comes to a Linkin Park concert. So when a woman crowd-surfs, that does not give you permission to grab her breasts." 25.07.2003 St. Louis, MO, Edward Jones Dome, Summer Sanitarium - At some point of the set, Chester commented that the feedback from the crowd is so awesome it made his nipples hard.
  19. http://web.archive.org/web/20010518120908/...npark/news.html It means 12.02.2001 and it's not in the guide. Checked the Rockline website and it says "2/12/2001 Linkin Park, Static-X, and Orgy". Don't think all of them were in the same studio. I assume the radio played a few segments from some show all these bands played in the same bill. Are there any shows that fall into this category?
  20. In case anyone is interested. Waterface pics (Attachment):

  22. Just finished with the Family Values thing. Just one reply from a certain person I messaged and I'll post everything I have. Nothing unusual, aside from the fact that Wonderful from the Family Values 2001 CD is a studio recorded track and this time it's official.
  23. Years ago, I was able to find a woman named Sharon that was a producer of a very local TV-show in Phoenix, AZ back in the yearly to mid-90s. I think her job basically was to film the entire local live shows and then show like 2-3 bands per episode to promote the local scene in general. One of the episodes of the show was dedicated to Grey Daze among others. I contacted her and she said that she still has all of the tapes, but they are completely unorganized and not labeled, so finding the particular one among hundreds of others is not that easy task. However, she promised me to find it as soon as possible. Shortly after that she had some legal and personal problems in her life. I think she wasn't online for years at this point.
  24. Sorry if it was mentioned before, but I found this in an old txt file on my computer (I was making notes about everything LP-related I was I able to find in the web archive a few years ago): The opening tracks from a familiar song by one of our favorite bands here at UnEarthed.com opened tonight's explosive episode of Roswell on the WB. Setting the mood along with the backdrop of a night time scene set in downtown New York; viewers of this Monday night science-fiction drama series could hear Linkin Park's "With You" playing loud and proud while the cast members dressed in head-to-toe urban punk regalia stalked the city streets. The song was played at high volume, and nearly played in its' entirety throughout the opening scene. Later, during a flashback sequence, Linkin Park DJ Joe Hahn's technical scratches revved up once again for a repeat teaser from the song. Let's just sum it up by giving huge congratulations to the band for their success, and the inclusion of such a great track on an equally great show about teenaged aliens among us in Roswell, New Mexico. Put it this way, if you haven't seen or heard of Linkin Park by now, you MUST be from outer space!
