Sorry if it was mentioned before, but I found this in an old txt file on my computer (I was making notes about everything LP-related I was I able to find in the web archive a few years ago): The opening tracks from a familiar song by one of our favorite bands here at UnEarthed.com opened tonight's explosive episode of Roswell on the WB. Setting the mood along with the backdrop of a night time scene set in downtown New York; viewers of this Monday night science-fiction drama series could hear Linkin Park's "With You" playing loud and proud while the cast members dressed in head-to-toe urban punk regalia stalked the city streets. The song was played at high volume, and nearly played in its' entirety throughout the opening scene. Later, during a flashback sequence, Linkin Park DJ Joe Hahn's technical scratches revved up once again for a repeat teaser from the song. Let's just sum it up by giving huge congratulations to the band for their success, and the inclusion of such a great track on an equally great show about teenaged aliens among us in Roswell, New Mexico. Put it this way, if you haven't seen or heard of Linkin Park by now, you MUST be from outer space!

I'm starting to work on the whole Family Values question tonight. I'll post everything I have in one big post once I'll finish.
-
No, unfortunately, not. The whole Family Values tour thing is something I really need to sink my teeth in. I never had a chance to sit and work on this mess. I'm sure Chester didn't come out on some of these shows we listed. That is definitely in my to-do list. On a related note, I'm 99.9% sure that "Wonderful" from the Family Values CD is a studio recording in a bad disguise. Interesting. Are you sure Chester performed on that show? Are you sure the file wasn't mislabeled? It's not in our Chester's live list. And the fact that there was/is a recording of the Cleveland show is pretty shocking in itself, because there were some really rare songs in STP set.

http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopi...st&p=189795 Also, I think I'm finally back. During my absence in LP community, I was lucky enough to obtain over the dozen exclusives for Stone Temple Pilots community including unreleased demos, live recordings, music videos and interviews. I'm not sure if any of this is possible in Linkin Park world, but If I will be able to be at least 10% as helpful, it would be great.

I think we should list all of the Linkin Park DSPs with Dead By Sunrise sets in them because DSP is a legit live release. Maybe we should link "Linkin Park: List Of All 'Officially Released' Live Songs" and "List Of All 'Soundboard Recording' Shows" together as well because of that. Or at least place them separately from the rest of the lists on this page so it will obvious that these lists are two parts of each other.

Bush and No Doubt shared the same stage in Arizona on March 8, 1996 (Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Phoenix) and March 21, 1996 (Tucson Convention Center, Tucson). Not sure why any of these shows would be called "Super Bowl party" though, since Super Bowl was a little over the month earlier.

11.09.2011 - Chiba, Japan (Night 2) (LPU Summit #5)
LESTAT replied to sotrix's topic in Previous Show Discussion
Haha. It's a good thing Mike sang it, but, as expected, it sounded fucking horrible. -
I'm actually very glad that Chester finally has his own song in his pocket that he can proudly perform on this kind of events, because it's actually that good to sound great within the set filled with the covers of classic songs.

In that case, screw you, Joe Hahn. "I'm swimming in a smoke of bridges I have burn" was supposed to be a metaphor

Linkin Park's A Thousand Suns, ranks #34 for the year.

I lol'd. -
Just checked The Roots performance. Looks like you are right.

“LPLive Grey Daze Encounter” Discuss here.

Chester's "Saw 3D" script is available in the Official SAW Store.

Last minute entry FTW. In The Darkness. What could be better than hypnotizing tune about sex right after the epic cosmic rock song?
-
Wow. It's actually the first time I love Chester's performance on Crawling since like....2004

lol, maybe he is in the fake muscles suit and that's why his real tattoos all got covered?

Linkin Park takes the stages, but Chester is missing. Mike Shinoda: "We kicked Chester out of the band, because I can sing without him and A Thousand Suns proves this." 01. Phoenix sings Pushing Me Away. 02. In Between... 03. No Roads Left (everything goes well, but in the middle of the song his voice cracks, he vomits all over the stage and passes out.
-
lol. His answer was Iridescent, When They Come For Me and Waiting For The End.
-
Funny, because Lostprophets were bashed during some point of their career due to their similarities to Linkin Park. I bet, it's either their lame attempt to revenge or Chester indeed was cocky making fun of them because of the above mentioned reasons. Anyway, when a band attacks some other a lot more successful band, it makes people roll their eyes whatever reason was behind it.

Do you think there will ever be another DBS album?
LESTAT replied to RiderSSPU's topic in Side Projects
I hope so. Even though Out Of Ashes suffered from it's mixing quality and the amount of filler material it was definitely a very solid and promising debut album. It must be noted, that even the most lyrically generic song on the record is still full of focused thoughts. Too bad those thoughts are not that easily accessible for the listener who is totally unaware of Chester's own explanation about the song meaning. You can't even call it generic anymore when you found out what's this song about and you are like "Whoa! That's surprisingly makes a lot of sense" The last tracks on the record are probably the best songs Chester ever wrote. The worst songs on the record are the ones that were written during the very last stages of the recording process, when Chester was obviously rushed to release the album as soon as possible. All in all, I prefer OOA over any of the even more generic first two Linkin Park albums. I just hope that the next time Chester will be much more focused and will have much more spare time without any LP-related deadline distractions. -
I'm not sure if it was already posted, so I'll just throw it out here, in the Got News section, so it won't be totally lost in the shuffle. http://www.noisecreep.com/2010/09/20/linki...noda-interview/ Excerpt: As far as another song, I'd say 'Waiting for the End' is one of the songs that stands out to a lot of people on the record, because people who are fans of our band haven't heard a song that mixes these kinds of emotions and these kinds of lyrics. One minute it's blazing loud, and the next minute it's super dark and quiet and even a weird mix of hopeful and fearful. And to me, it's a very three-dimensional song, and I think it became that kind of a song because of the insane writing experience on it. It started off with the drums and the rapping, and then some of the music came along, but it was really a boring track. It was good, but it wasn't great yet, and we always felt like it had the potential to be great. And I was working with Chester in the studio, and we were trying to think of some words to sing over it and he always records vocal ideas on his phone. And he happened to go through his phone and pick through vocal ideas, and he sang 'Waiting for the End to Come,' and we both just loved how it sounded over the music. So we basically put that into place and wrote all the rest of the music around that. It was a trip.
