Someday Soon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBych9HJJpg I love how Brendon sounds a lot better than Ryan a few times that they let him open his mouth. lol.

While I agree on the majority of the picks on this thread, I feel like I need to say, that Chester stepped up a little bit in comparison to the last few years. And he REALLY surprised me singing every song on every STP show without any obvious issues. Seriously, I can think of only one or two times when his voice cracked during STP performance. To a certain degree, STP songs are not as demanding as Linkin Park's, because there's not as much extreme notes and zero screaming, but they heavily rely on melodic singing and there's a lot of little nuances and switches before higher and lower register that not every singer can handle with ease. Plus, I think Chester sounds better when he sings a little bit lower, even though it's not entirely natural for him. I think some parts in LP songs would sound better if Chester will try to sing them a little bit lower.

Added Vasoline to the soundcheck setlist and updated the show page. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9hmDvbX1F8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74dkq6mmbFo

Check out the studio vocal sample during the very first performance of "A Light That Never Comes" on 1:02 - 1:03: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bBJUzxON5E I don't think I've heard this one on any other recording or studio version. Or is it just not that audible? Or I just didn't listen carefully?

I know Chester and Billy are friends. Don't know about two additional members. Time will tell.

Royal Machines is still almost the same kind of band as Camp Freddy. They are still playing shows inviting various guests, however I'm under impression that it's a little bit more of a "normal band" with it's core members playing a more prominent role. Not sure what it means for Chester playing with them. Probably not an issue, but who knows?
-
Well, sort of... Old news, but I decided to post a topic about it, because I bet that no one here noticed that Camp Freddy actually disbanded this year and some of it's members formed a new band called Royal Machines. It's basically the same band minus Matt Sorum, but with Mark McGrath and Josh Freese added as the core members. http://www.royalmachinesmusic.com/home/

Happy to hear this part. Probably the band's best musical piece. -
The song titles sound folky. And it doesn't feel natural for the band at all.

In case you didn't know, STP sometimes invite some fans (usually contest winners) on stage for their pre-show soundchecks to perform a few songs for them in their entirety. The information about this kind of events is very sporadic. Here's the thread to collect all of the videos and info. 2013.09.20 Columbia, SC, Township Auditorium Soundcheck setlist: xx. So were Chester's vocals fixed in any form on any of the recordings after the original webcast? Are there any obvious differences? -

I downloaded the tracks from a different source long after they were released. Mine are in VBR quality.
-
There is no lossless version floating around. It was released by BE member in mp3 format. Not sure what is the quality of the initial mp3 files, but I bet it wasn't converted at all since then. "A Taste Of" (or "Buy This") EP is just a random EP with a couple of the most famous STP songs released on Record Store day without a notice and laughable artwork. The most common opinion is that it was released to fulfill some contract obligations with the record label (The band had some legal troubles with Atlantic records after reunion).

http://tequilamockinigbird.blogspot.com/ So I guess the Avalon show was going to be a part of Camel cigarettes tour as well and was cancelled
-
It's obvious from the qoute I posted earlier that the Texas dates are belong to the tour, because it mentions Modest Mouse.
-
Don't have much time to do a research today, but here's a good start for everyone else. http://www.riverfronttimes.com/2006-01-18/...rial-erotica/2/ I guess the Grand Rapids show in our guide was part of the Sin City tour, so BoW, obviously, did not play it. Two more shows from the Sin City Tour: 03.11.2005 Austin, TX - Austin Music Hall 05.11.2005 Houston, TX - Meridian (w/ Kings Of Leon too) Main bands: Modest Mouse, The Walkmen Sources: http://www.austinchronicle.com/calendar/music/event-303361/ http://www.austinchronicle.com/postmarks/2005-11-04/307723/ http://www.jambase.com/shows/event.aspx?EventID=363804 http://web.archive.org/web/20051104052127/...b/tourdates.php

All we know is that 13,520 copies were sold in the first week. I think it is around 20k so far.
-
It was named Unplushed just for the sake of it not being confused with the Acoustic and the Unplugged versions. All of them are acoustic, but the super famous acoustic version everybody knows about is the one recorded at The Headbangers Ball.
-
There are both Acoustic and "Unplushed" versions. Two the most famous acoustic versions are recorded live. It was Scott and Dean performing the song two times in a row on MTV's Headbangers Ball - the full album version and the shortened radio version. These recordings were released on various releases throughout the years and one of the takes is as popular as the album version. Plush (Unplushed) was recorded in the studio with full band.
