  1. Someone should contact Cheez and see if he will release those songs if they're recorded. Surely there has to be a recording if Ryan, Chester, etc learned them lol. Not confirmed I don't think but many (including me) believe the demo title for Given Up entitled "21 Stitches" came from this incident
  2. I don't really know what this is. Can someone explain? lol
  3. LPLive is proud to announce that in conjunction with Music For Relief, we will be offering up two tickets to the "secret" (or "Not So Secret") Linkin Park show in Los Angeles, CA on August 31st. The show is billed as being a benefit for Music For Relief and their efforts in Japan after the devastating earthquake last year. To gain admission, fans have to raise at least $500 for two tickets to the show. Any additional amounts of $250 will give yet another ticket to the show. Being held at the Mayan Theatre in LA with a capacity of 1,000, this is the smallest, most intimate show Linkin Park has played in years. Now, anyone that would like to attend the show but simply cannot raise the $500 for two tickets is able to bid on two separate tickets to the show. The starting bid on each ticket will be $50, and the auction will run from now until August 24. The tickets were purchased in advance, so the winners' names will be placed on the guest list, with all of the money going straight to Music For Relief and Save The Children. Check out the auctions here: Ticket 1 / Ticket 2 In July, LPLive auctioned off a signed LPL flag from the LPU Summit in Hamburg, Germany with all of the proceeds benefiting Music For Relief. Over $400 was raised from scratch for the organization. For more information about Music For Relief, check out their official website. Spread the word! Happy bidding! UPDATE: Ticket 1 sold for $200 and ticket 2 sold for $152.50. Since $500 was donated to Music For Relief already to get the tickets, a whopping $852.50 was raised for Music For Relief and Save The Children! Thanks to everyone who participated and thanks to LPTimes, LPAssociation and everyone else for promoting the auction!
  4. Fucking word.
  5. On August 30th, Linkin Park plays in Las Vegas, NV for a warm-up show before they head to Asia in September. However, the day after the Las Vegas show, they are playing what is billed as a "secret show" in Los Angeles. To gain entry you had to donate at least $500 to Music For Relief (who is greatly helping those in need in Japan) for two tickets. Chester appeared on Kevin and Bean on KROQ this morning to announce the location of the show. Chester said before it was going to be at the Mayan, the band was planning on having it at a small club in the LA area. Thanks to LPLive user "lerkid" for pointing this out and filling us in on the location! The secret show will take place at the Mayan Theatre in Los Angeles. Holding only 1,000 people, the venue is designed like a Mayan temple. Who is going to the show from LPLive? Do you guys think the band will do anything different for this show or will it be a normal set like they played in Europe this past tour? For all of the 2011 tour dates, click here. EDIT: Check out a video of Mike and Dave announcing the venue!
  6. Source? Chester said that on KROQ? How many people does that place even hold lol? If they announced that they were doing Hybrid Theory in full or doing LP/JZ in full or something epic I'd buy 4 tickets ASAP. They know if the announcement was epic more people would go.

    Fall DSP's

On September 6, Linkin Park kicks off their first Asian Tour for "A Thousand Suns" by playing in Hong Kong. The band plays 11 shows in 7 countries on this upcoming tour. Keeping with the tradition of the past few years, LP is selling DSP's (Digital Souvenir Packages) from this tour for any fan that may want one. All shows are being offered for purchase. Popular with LP fans, the band started selling live shows in 2007 and has continued releasing most shows from each year since. 8. I'd love to hear Reseda Beach in full. Ryu in like March 2009 played a bunch of the songs on UStream. Here We Go is badass...great song to start it with. I think he played it all from the first song to Damn, then played Dunky Fividendz. Holly Brook is on one, I think Damn. Call My Name has a pretty cool sample. It's about time the thing gets released!
  9. I think since I'm only doing one day I might just get there before doors open, deliver our flag to whatever crew person can meet us then try and get up front for the set. I'm contemplating doing the M&G but I'd like a great spot. This is the first time I am seeing them at a festival so I think getting a good spot after a M&G would be pretty damn hard. We can meet up yeah, let's go get food afterwards or something. Or find each other in the crowd. I'll give you my number if you want. Add me on Facebook. www.facebook.com/musicmark
  10. Who is coming? I will be there. Probably only a one day pass.
  11. I am going! Fuck yeah. We have a place in Perdido Key, right next to Pensacola, so we'll be staying there and going to the Sunday portion. This is so cool that they're doing a one off show there...talk about perfect. A beach trip plus LP. This might be the last show for ATS. Man I hope we get Blackout.
  12. "Super-Fun Trading Fun-Cards have arrived! Collect all SIX of us to unlock your mystery prize. May the digital glow light your way. -BBB" Who has collected the six cards and unlocked the prize? What do you think of the prize?
  13. Both are.
  14. LP has older stuff I'm sure. They recorded select 2007 shows before PR07, in Europe for example.
  15. Bump for a new download link.... I'd like to get this again.
  16. I'd buy any pre-2007 shows if they were released and at least one or two shows from any other MTM+ tour that hasn't been released. Rock am Ring 2007 or Berlin 2008 or something. Definitely interested in seeing more stuff posted on the downloads site. Great idea, fans love it, the quality rapes any other live downloads I've seen bands do (Metallica, Alter Bridge) and it's a blast for hardcore fans to keep up with the live changes.
  17. We are all familiar with LP's DSP's (Digital Souvenir Packages). For those of you who need a little history lesson....Starting in July of 2007 at the first Projekt Revolution show that year, the band starting selling live CD's of their shows at the merch booths on tour. Fans could buy a blank CD and an insert with a code to download the show 5 or so days after the concert. In January of 2008 in the UK, the band expanded their live CD idea to transform it into something better - Digital Souvenir Packages. These included the audio of the show as well as pictures of the performance and a digital tour program. This continued for a few tours in 2008, a few shows in 2009 and most shows from 2010 to present day. For only $9.99, this is a pretty sweet deal! Needless to say, DSP's seem to be a BIG hit with the fans. Over half of LP concert attendees in 2010 were downloading the show - pretty impressive! In 2011 on the North American Tour, LP offered a *free* download to anyone who attended a show on that tour. 2011 is the first year that the band has decided to sell their festival performances as well. However, some shows were not sold for one reason or another. The European summer tour in 2008 didn't have a single show released off of that leg, for instance. Scattered shows from 2007 (Jones Beach, NY, Las Vegas, NV, etc) never saw the light of day and 2009 missed several notable performances. In 2007, the band never sold their shows from Australia and New Zealand but those were later released on March 2, 2010 with the new version of their downloads site. Since then, we've never seen a release of older, unreleased shows. Rumors circulated in December of 2009 about a release of more shows, but we're not sure what happened on that front. We know hundreds of fans (maybe more) collect each and every show the band releases. Lots of fans keep up with each performance due to LP changing the setlist very often. Now the questions for you guys are.... Would you be interested in LP releasing any missing 2007-2011 shows they may have? Europe's summer tour from 2008? Or the missing 2007/2009 festivals if they exist? Would you purchase one or more of these shows if they were released? Would any of you that attended these shows be interested in them? More importantly, if the band has any PRE-2007 shows, would you be interested in purchasing those? We've seen on iTunes and on CD singles that the band has released live tracks from 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006. Would anyone like to see some of the older shows in the "LP vault" released, if they exist? Let us know by posting a reply! We know a lot of you enjoyed our release of the proshot/soundboard recording of Linkin Park in Camden, NJ in 2004 (read here and here). 'One Step Closer' from that show has over 20,000 views on YouTube. Want some more stuff like that? Perhaps with a positive discussion and encouragement to Linkin Park's management we could possibly get more shows released! A list of all shows released as live CDs / DSP's can be found here. Purchase and download the DSP's here.
  18. We are doing the best we can with LP mgmt telling us we can't post them freely anymore. Be patient. St. Gallen is going now, it's been up for maybe 3 hours. Patience is appreciated. We'll get the other 2 shows. Asia will likely be a disaster unfortunately but we'll get through it eventually.
  19. Yeah St. Gallen is up, so now we are only missing Werchter and Arendal.
  20. Their Charlotte show in May was sick! Loved it. I Don't Care, Home w/ Lose Yourself, and Break Stuff!
  21. I've seen 12, I'd say 13 because of an hour and a half soundcheck. Biggest regret is no Nashville 08 - APFMH, My December, HHH, VDay. I've attempted a bunch that were canceled last minute though, oh well lol. Favorite shows: Atlanta 2007, Stuttgart 2009, West Palm Beach 2008 (in order) Least favorite shows: Atlanta 2011, Zurich 2009, Charlotte 2008
  22. Find someone that went that has the shows! I can't find anyone.
  23. No I doubt it. Faint's outro is a band-played instrumental piece. Moscow Intro is 100% sampled, the band does nothing on it. If they had WID ambo we could get a studio version of the parts of that that are sampled (not what LP plays, drums, guitar, bass, etc) and the same for NMS if they have visuals for the long intro. It wouldn't include what the band plays on a nightly basis themselves but just the sampled background stuff. Make sense? Xero21 is right too about what they show during those outros.
  24. This is awesome!! Nice find!!
  25. Phew, glad it got ripped then lol
