  1. Hey thanks. Screwed it up for sure. OSC is a great song live but there are times when it isn't very enjoyable due to its placement in the setlist. I didn't like it closing the main set in A-1....it came so soon in the show in my opinion. That was the least I've ever enjoyed the song. Opening PR08 it was decent because I remembering having a discussion about whether I liked it opening or closing and I offered the suggestion of them playing it TWICE because Green Day sometimes does that lol and the crowd loves it. Opening it has a lot of energy but I concluded I'd rather see it close. PR08 West Palm it was insane after CFTI in the 2nd encore. I mean insane. ATL 07 it was insane starting the encore (hell yeah great place for it). Europe 09 it was insane after ND/Faint. 2011.....not much energy closing the main set. Meh. I'd like them to do it Reanimated again and maybe throw it as the last song. I don't understand LP because they said before this touring cycle started in South America that they were going to change up OLDER songs to be more "ATS-like". Not one song has seen any change this entire touring cycle and that's very unlike LP. I think some band members aren't enjoying the shows as much possibly.
  2. US needed a Projekt Revolution this summer. I was ready to go all out.... bummed they aren't doing one.
  3. Linkin Park returns to Switzerland on the 2nd for their second show in the country on the "A Thousand Suns" touring cycle. The last show in Switzerland came in Zürich in 2010 (show page here). For a history of LP shows in the country, read the preshow post for that show here. Here's a pretty solid video of 'Papercut' opening the Rock Werchter show in Belgium.... This is the second to last show of 2011 in Europe, and unfortunately it seems like the preshow posts are getting smaller and smaller for the rest of the tour. What can you do though? There's only so much speculation you can offer and questions you can ask on a tour that has seen almost the exact same songs every show. The only real changes in Europe are the occasional drop of 'Breaking The Habit' and the additions of 'Burning In The Skies' or 'Blackout'. After this show, LP plays the iTunes Festival in London on July 4th. They have been playing shortened setlists for festivals, with the Arras, France setlist receiving a slightly different order with 'Faint' opening, 'Papercut' second and no 'One Step Closer'. Is the band going to start phasing out 'One Step Closer'? What do you think? It's the third time it's been missing this touring cycle... Madrid 2010, Moscow 2011 and Arras 2011. Would you like to see the band start dropping it from a setlist or two or is that one of the songs that has to be played at every show? It seems like nothing else is coming this tour...just the regular songs that have been on this leg. Maybe 'Blackout' will appear in London? Hopefully on the tour in Asia we see 'Wretches & Kings', 'The Messenger', the live debut of 'Robot Boy' and some older songs that they haven't played in ages...'With You' maybe? The lineup for the show says that Alvin Zealot, Baze, Mona, Crystal Castles, John Butler Trio, and Hurts will play before Linkin Park (wow, what a variety) and Dizzee Rascal will play after them. Who is going to OpenAir St. Gallen? M&G for anyone? I believe this is the first outdoor show the band has ever played in Switzerland so it should be fun! SETLIST: 01. The Requiem / Savio Speech 02. Faint 03. Papercut 04. Lying From You 05. Given Up 06. New Divide 07. Empty Spaces 08. When They Come For Me 09. No More Sorrow 10. From The Inside 11. Jornada Del Muerto 12. Waiting For The End 13. Numb 14. The Radiance 15. Breaking the Habit 16. Wisdom Justice & Love 17. Iridescent 18. The Catalyst 19. What I've Done 20. In The End 21. Crawling 22. Bleed it out (APFMH Bridge)
  4. That's awesome! Can you scan it or take a better pic without the tags all over it for our show page? That's sweet, we are getting a lot of fan submitted setlists caught in the crowd for this tour. Imola, etc.
  5. I bet Mike made that in 5 mins on his laptop on the flight to Moscow.
  6. Thanks to MikeShinodaClan for updating me on this! Linkin Park is set to play a "secret" show in Los Angeles with Japanese artist B'z as a support artist. "This secret show in Los Angeles is to raise money for Japan, however not everyone will gain entry. The whole purpose is to raise money for Tsunami Relief, everyone who helps raise $500 will receive 2 tickets (LIMITED, info below) to see Linkin Park and the B’z (best-selling artist in Japan). The show will be on August 31st and Linkin Park will be performing in a small intimate venue in Los Angeles, the venue will be announced to those who earned the tickets only. 100% of net proceeds benefit children and families affected by the earthquake & tsunami. Tickets are limited, only the first 500 people to reach the fundraising goal will receive tickets." The deadline is August 24, 2011 and the secret show is on August 31, 2011 at a "secret venue" in LA. Click here to watch the videos of Mike and Phoenix announcing the show. The official website of the show is here. Who from LPLive is going to try and go?
  7. Yeah at the first show, but not in Europe. I saw it x4 in Europe that year and it blew the 2011 performances the fuck out of the water. New Divide opening the encore was just sick. Faint and OSC followed...nasty. New Divide and Given Up were 2 of the weakest songs I saw live this year at my three shows. Both need to be dropped IMO unless New Divide can open the set or open the encore. I don't like it mid set.
  8. Moscow Intro is awesome. They should open a set with New Divide and keep this intro.
  9. Well I'm out. Max was 75 then I said max was 91....can't go any higher.
  10. I decided to try a bid and I put 13 euro. Outbid so I put 14, then 15, 16, 17, 18. Someone must really want it lol. I stopped at 18.
  11. I wanna bid on it but I don't want someone saying *RAWR* LPL rigged it / Mark is a dumbass and doesn't give people fair chances / etc
  12. Since most of the staff and quite a bit of the site members volunteered for Music For Relief on this touring cycle, we thought we'd do something collectively to benefit the organization. As you know, MFR takes donations, sells bandanas designed by Mike and more for the victims of natural disasters, including the tsunami in Japan. Since 2005, Music For Relief has raised over $4,000,000 in donations, planted over 810,000 trees, and helped out victims of many disasters including Hurricane Katrina, the Haiti earthquake and more. Linkin Park just held their fourth LPU Summit in Hamburg, Germany on the 21st of June. SpikeMinoda was able to get an LPLive flag printed for the Summit and we were able to sneak it into a few pictures..... Group picture [AndOne] w/ Linkin Park At the M&G in Hamburg he was able to get it signed by the band as well. After the Summit, SpikeMinoda thought it'd be a good idea to auction the flag off on eBay and give every penny to Music For Relief. He's even paying for the shipping himself. Check out the auction here. If you'd like an LPLive flag with our latest logo that is signed by everyone in Linkin Park, and you'd like to help out a great organization founded by Linkin Park, then drop by the auction page and bid over the next ten days! Thanks to Overkill for designing the flag for us!
  13. Yeah they really do lol. This is why I like to follow Dave Matthews Band. Best live guide ever - http://dmbalmanac.com/ They just did a 3 day festival where they didn't repeat a single song once. 66 different songs throughout 3 days. That's epic. They change the set each night completely, add in really really old stuff randomly, etc. So much fun to follow. The official website puts up the setlist in real-time too and the community is much larger so it's a lot easier.
  14. The fifteenth show of this tour and the first show of July puts Linkin Park in Arras, France at La Citadelle for the Main Square Festival. This is the second show on this touring cycle in France, coming after the show in Paris (show page here and show thread here) last fall. This is the first time that the band has played an outdoor show in France. The country has been important to LP - being the first country they ever set foot it in Europe (see the 2001 show page here). LP played 6 shows in 2001 in France, 2 in 2003, 1 in 2007, 2 in 2008 and 1 in 2010, making this their 13th show there. It's the first time since 2007 that they are playing there in the summer time. We all know what happened in Paris last year though don't we? 'A Place For My Head' unrehearsed for the Hybrid Theory 10th Anniversary, of course. This is the video for this post since this is hands down my favorite moment of this entire touring cycle. Hopefully this song will one day make it back into the setlist! With LP performing the same two setlists at the last several shows, we have to wonder what they're going to do for the remaining festivals on this run. St. Gallen, Switzerland has the OpenAir St. Gallen on the 2nd that LP is playing and London hosts the iTunes Festival on the 4th. Will LP continue playing this "C_No Encore" setlists that opens with 'Papercut'? Or will they rotate in the setlist from Imola, Italy (show page here)? I find it interesting they haven't played a shortened version of the Leipzig, Germany (show page here) setlist on this tour considering it has the fan favorite 'Blackout' in it. What do you think? Will we see 'Blackout' again on this tour or not? Will LP keep things the same for the remaining few shows? The Main Square Festival was started in 2004 and is a three day festival. The 1st is the first day of the fest and lineup indicates Linkin Park plays on the Main Stage after The Pretty Reckless, The Gaslight Anthem, Shaka Ponk, Limp Bizkit and Queens Of The Stone Age, and before The Chemical Brothers. This is actually the second show in a row where they play after QOTSA and before The Chemical Brothers. I believe this is the first time Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit have crossed paths since DJ Lethal had a childish meltdown on Twitter, accusing Linkin Park of writing songs that put down other bands and calling Joe Hahn names, etc. He even released a solo song "attacking" Joe. Grow the fuck up, man. So who's going to Arras, France? M&G for anyone? There are three shows left on this touring cycle...view the previous shows, setlists and upcoming tour dates here. LPLive member "damien.c" is attending the show and made a post here saying how he is working for Music For Relief at this show. If you're at the festival, stop by and make a donation! Music For Relief really is a great organization. I worked three shows this year at a booth and countless other LPLive staff members and forum members have worked for MFR on this touring cycle. Go grab a bandana! I got the band to sign mine and it's one of my favorite LP items that I have. He said LP might be broadcasted but we are unsure really until the show starts. I also saw an awesome LP flag for the show on Instagram today by my friend Joanna from linkinpark.fr. Hopefully it gets on stage! View that flag here. SETLIST: 01. The Requiem 02. Faint 03. 16. Damn that sucks Oh well, I'd still like to see it at least. Thanks for the efforts.
  17. LOL Maybe!! They need to do a C7 no encore set at one of these festivals....play Blackout.
  18. Live updates here: http://twitter.com/jannevanrompaey 01. The Requiem 02. Papercut
  19. Leipzig is a fucking awesome show. Stockholm and Leipzig are my two favorites from this tour so far. Stockholm has a great crowd and the band is energetic but Leipzig, just something about it stands out. So much hype going on in the crowd it seems. That's the best Blackout I've heard. I was so bummed to hear Chester messed it up in the 2nd verse but it's still a great version. Awesome show.
  20. Email Basecamp and ask them (if they'll reply).
  21. Thanks. Updated the first post.
  22. I guess they dropped them because they were played at almost every show in Europe last year....
