  1. I think the song is more directed at the critics.
  2. I think it's cool that Brad shows his skills as musician more and more nowadays. Look at The Catalyst, he played guitar, vocals (lol), drums (or how you call it) and the synths at the end.
  3. i like the melody of "holding on to what i haven't got" at the climax. this is that song where they sing forth and back.
  4. 16. A Thousand Suns: The Full Experience [Explicit] [47:56] The longest song LP has ever made lol.
  5. James Montgomery, who writes a lot of articles on Linkin Park for the MTV website, posted a top 5 videoclips. Could be interesting. At 12:01 a.m. on Thursday (August 26), Linkin Park premiered their brand-new video for "The Catalyst," the first single off their upcoming A Thousand Suns album. It's a dark, moody, abstract affair, full of swirling smoke, charred earth and rising tides, and, judging from the comments we got on MTVNews.com, Linkin Park fans totally love it. So that got us thinking: Is it good enough to rank among their all-time best videos? Even though "The Catalyst" is barely 13 hours old at this point, it's clear the clip takes the band to places they've never gone before. But the short answer is ... no, not just yet. Sure, the video would probably land in the LP top 10, but we're talking about the best of the best here. So while it's undoubtedly good, it's not quite good enough to crack the band's top five. But give it some time. We're sure its impact will be measured in weeks and months, not hours. That's how Linkin Park videos tend to go. At least, judging by the ones we've selected as their five best: Read more here. Also interesting: Linkin Park's 'The Catalyst' Video: Kiss The Past Goodbye (New clip sees LP pushing the envelope even further), about how the band wants to go in a new direction with their sound and the video for "The Catalyst".
  6. Well, I expected a high entry, WID debuted at 7 and ND at 6 but TC never made it to the first place at iTunes so I lowered my expectations. Prob because it's a totally different song than WID or ND. Radio airplay + downloads.
  7. Last is more energetic, how ironic that might sound!
  8. The radio edit clocks 4.42. I saw it on a radio website. Removes the scratches in the beginning and cuts of some of the end sounds (those that fade out).
  9. They could use the radio edit for the video.
  10. The radio edit for download and airplay and the full length on MySpace probably.
  11. You know that Mike doesn't like it when people do things like that in dedication to the band? I read that somewhere.
  12. The credits doesn't mention those songs with strings being recorded for, so they're probably synths.
  13. Reanimation -Opening (violins/cello by Phoenix) -Ntr\Mssion (violins/cello by Phoenix) -Krwlng (violins/cello by Phoenix) Meteora -Faint -Breaking the Habit Minutes to Midnight -Leave Out All the Rest -Shadow of the Day -Hands Held High -Little Things -No Roads Left -Blackbirds
  14. And I was already in love with Snow Patrols 'A Hundred Million Suns'....
  15. If I'm right, Amazon was right about DBS, MTM etc. So it's pretty plausible. And LP releases are usually released a couple of days for the US date. The special presale of MtM was May 11, while the international date was May 15.
  16. Linkin Park's soon is eh.. not very soon.
  17. But MTV had a lot of things right, weren't they? I don't think that the message was from MTV. I can't find it and the information doesn't feel plausible either.
  18. It says that it already has been released in the UK. But I can't get to search Linkin Park on the UK iTunes so I couldn't find it.
  19. That isn't they best way to promote your album.
