  2. I want them to make something really heavy and really melodic (lots of heavy instrumentation with lots of melodic singing). But it's really not about what I want. I'll just take whatever LP throws at us.

  4. It looks like a European festival tour is coming. This is awesome news since these European Festivals seem to be where we get the majority of proshot videos from.
  5. This sounds neat. I wonder what other bands will be playing.
  6. I think Chester did some things on ATS that were more complex than things he did on previous records. The Messenger and The Catalyst are good examples of this.
  7. I like the set that had A Place For My Head.
  8. I don't think ATS is going to need 8 singles to go platinum. It's only been out a few months and is already half-way there. Given LP's habit of taking three or more years to release a new album, ATS has plenty of time to go platinum. And before everyone jumps on me, I know the 7-8 singles thing was a joke.
  9. I'm excited to hear some of the collaborations that are supposed to be on this such as RZA, Chester, Tom Morello, and B.o.B.
  10. Cool song list. It'll be fun to play if I ever get my xbox online.
  11. Thanks for pointing that out. Woops!
  12. chorus –noun 1. Music . ... d. a part of a song that recurs at intervals, usually following each verse; refrain Under this definition, WTCFM definitely has a chorus. Also. by your definition: Lyric –adjective Also, lyr·i·cal. 4. pertaining to, rendered by, or employing singing. This means something can be lyrical without having words. So, by your definition, WTCFM definitely has a chorus.
  13. http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/chart_wat...-does-it-again/ scroll down. it says there's 547,000 sold (including 143,000 digital) I believe that the billboard charts only use U.S. sales. If i'm mistaken, sorry.
  14. Forgotten and OSC are structured just like the rest of the album with just very slight differences. Forgotten has that intro/prechorus thing but is still rap verses, melodic chorus, heavy bridge. One Step Closer is just like every other song on the album just with singing instead of rapping in the verses. Hybrid Theory is very formulaic. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but don't deny the truth.
  15. But there's not really that much swearing. I've heard songs with a lot more swearing released as singles (of course censored versions were played on the radio). Swearing doesn't automatically mean the song won't be a single.
  16. The round is over: Breaking the Habit 2 My December 3 QWERTY 3 No Roads Left 7 Iridescent 2 And One 2 In Pieces 2 Figure.09 1 No More Sorrow 1 Faint 1 No Roads Left is eliminated. The remaining songs are: Hybrid Theory EP: - And One Hybrid Theory: - With You - A Place For My Head - Papercut Meteora: - Faint - Breaking the Habit - Figure.09 Minutes to Midnight: - In Pieces - The Little Things Give You Away - No More Sorrow A Thousand Suns: - Waiting for the End - Iridescent - When They Come For Me B-Sides: - QWERTY - My December I'll vote Breaking the Habit.
  17. I'm sure there's been a million sales world-wide by now. They have half that in the U.S. alone.
  18. The quality would be terrible I'd assume, but it sounds like a neat idea.
  19. The first round is over: Breaking the Habit 1 No Roads Left 5 My December 2 Part of Me 10 In Pieces 2 Figure.09 1 Iridescent 3 QWERTY 2 Faint 1 Part of Me is the first to fall. The remaining songs are: Hybrid Theory EP: - And One Hybrid Theory: - With You - A Place For My Head - Papercut Meteora: - Faint - Breaking the Habit - Figure.09 Minutes to Midnight: - In Pieces - The Little Things Give You Away - No More Sorrow A Thousand Suns: - Waiting for the End - Iridescent - When They Come For Me B-Sides: - No Roads Left - QWERTY - My December I'll vote Breaking the Habit.
  20. Reanimation's finalists will be pitted against the finalists from Collision Course (which is next) and "Other Remixes" (which will be after CC). After Remixes, we'll probably do live albums.
  21. By Myself and Forgotten could've easily been hit singles.
  22. I'd say the best moment was when I first heard The Catalyst. It was so different. Also, it was that day that I found out I was going to be a father.
  23. It was The Requiem. I listened to A Thousand Suns this morning.
  24. Here we are. This is the final election for studio tracks. After this, we'll do Collision Course and various other remixes. This is why Reanimation's results aren't included in this election. Like before, vote for your least favorite track. You have only one vote per round and rounds will last about two days (sometimes more, sometimes less). Ties outside of the final three rounds will result in all tied tracks being eliminated. Within the final rounds, ties will be decided by a tiebreaker round. Without further explanation, here's the finalists for the song election: Hybrid Theory EP: - And One - Part of Me Hybrid Theory: - With You - A Place For My Head - Papercut Meteora: - Faint - Breaking the Habit - Figure.09 Minutes to Midnight: - In Pieces - The Little Things Give You Away - No More Sorrow A Thousand Suns: - Waiting for the End - Iridescent - When They Come For Me B-Sides: - No Roads Left - QWERTY - My December I'll get the voting started with Breaking the Habit.
