  1. It's not necessarily that they want nothing to do with them. They could've just not been approached about adding a song to Transformers 3. I for one couldn't be happier since I thought the first two sucked and the only reason I saw them was because of LP's contribution. Now I won't have to waste my time on the third one.
  2. According to the live guide, no Linkin Park did not play at that show. To answer your other question: no idea.
  3. The round is over: Blackbirds 2 She Couldn't 8 Pretend to Be 11 What We Don't Know 1 QWERTY 1 Pretend to Be is gone. Here are the remaining songs: - She Couldn't - Dedicated - My December - QWERTY - No Roads Left - New Divide - Across the Line - Blackbirds - What We Don't Know I'm going to vote for Blackbirds.
  4. http://lplive.net/2010.php Seriously, the site has a guide to most of the live shows in LP history. Look at it before asking obvious questions.
  5. The only thing I think that I missed from A Thousand Suns is the live strings. I love strings.
  6. the song structure is almost identical intro rap verse 1 chorus verse 2 chorus bridge rap and then the difference lies in the final chorus: in waiting for the end, the intro rap is layered over the final chorus in blackbirds, the final chorus is sung with no additional layers
  7. Cool that they changed up the setlist a bit. I liked the other one better, but this one's nice too.
  8. I think this would slow it down way too much. Cut out WJ&L. Also, Hands Held High closing the main set wouldn't work in my opinion. Move that up to right before ASP and you've got yourself a solid setlist.
  9. Other than how the songs end (Waiting for the End has a lot of vocal layering stuff over the last chorus), yeah they do. I never really noticed that before.
  10. Empty Spaces: Crickets come chirping in; spanish talking. Random bombs come out of nowhere....another....another....buidling up..*blam!* When They Come For Me. It's Foreword Pt. 2
  11. December 21. It's DLC for DJ Hero 2. It's a beat juggle remixed by diplo if i remember correctly. Also: that list is missing the King Fantastic remix.
  12. I don't get why Empty Spaces gets so much hate, yet nobody ever mentions Foreword in a negative light.
  13. I'm sure you won't have to vote Pretend to Be much longer.
  14. Pit is the way to go. You get right up next to the band and get to be right in the middle of all the mayhem. The best time I ever had at a concert was being in the pit at my first Korn show back in 2007 with a close second being the "lawn pit" at Mayhem three years later. Pits are freaking awesome! In contrast, I saw Nine Inch Nails and Three Days Grace from seats. It just doesn't have that same interaction that you get when you're in the pit. You can definitely notice things more and sit back and enjoy the music if you're into that when you're in the seat. I don't know the extent of LP's light show (never been to an LP show), but if that's a main attraction, go for the seats.
  15. Too bad the only way to enter this contest would cause unending mockery from my friends. First because I add Internet Explorer and then because I tell them it's to get a trip to see Linkin Park. I guess I'm not entering...
  16. Jay-Z isn't going to appear at any shows becuase Mike didn't even know he was there.
  17. The round is over: Pretend to Be 6 I Have Not Begun 9 QWERTY 1 Blackbirds 1 What We Don't Know 1 Despite vain attempts to keep it around by myself and LinkinParkFan4Ever, I Have Not Begun is eliminated. Here are the remaining songs: - She Couldn't - Dedicated - My December - QWERTY - No Roads Left - New Divide - Across the Line - Blackbirds - What We Don't Know - Pretend to Be I'm going to vote for Blackbirds.
  18. I don't really count that as part of the song. lol
  19. Don't take this the wrong way, but, what do you consider good lyrics? What makes them good in your opinion?
  20. What demos do you like more than the finished versions? If you don't like a full demo, but like part of a demo better than the final song, tell us about that. I like the In the End and Crawling demos more than their finished counterparts. The verses on In the End's demo are much better-written in my opinion and the added rap segment on Crawling really adds to the song and I wish it was in the finished version.
  21. ^ I think that my favorite Disney princess is Cinderella. It was one of the first movies I remember and so I just like the movie and the character more than others. I completely disagree. Mike is the better songwriter and lyricist as well as being a more versatile instrumentalist. Just because Chester has a better voice, doesn't make him more talented. I take back what I said about Brad. Apparently he does a lot of work on structuring tracks and adjusting sounds and such. That is bringing something big to the band. Phoenix on the other hand...
  22. Oh no you didn't just say that One Step Closer is a bad closer. Someone's in for a beating. jk
  23. I wanna heal/I wanna feel/What I thought was never real I've become so numb I can't feel you there One minute you're on top/the next you're not/watch it drop etc, etc... the choruses are all filled with dumb rhyme schemes and cliche angsty lyrics. but if that's what you consider amazing lyrics, then I can't change your mind. though I may not agree with what you say, I'll defend to the death your right to say it.
