  1. That's how I felt when I heard A Thousand Suns. Amazing album!
  2. I really don't see LP making another accessible album at any point in the future. Mike (and the band) want to create music that nobody expects of them and whatnot. I think they'll go further and further away from the mainstream sound, whatever it is at the time when their albums are released.
  3. Blackout is already awesome enough though. It didn't need any improving.
  4. +9001 Without Mike, Linkin Park would be just another generic pop-rock act.
  5. Chicago is pretty much in the middle. It's also a major city. And yes, I have looked at a map.
  6. remember, you can't post multi-tracks here though. you don't want to get suspended/banned.
  7. Chicago is right in the middle of the country. If they had it on one of the coasts, even more people would be unable to attend the show.
  8. I'd say if you want someone to buy those things, put them on ebay or something.
  9. The round is over: Breaking the Habit 6 No More Sorrow 1 The Little Things Give You Away 7 QWERTY 3 In Pieces 4 Figure.09 1 The Little Things Give You Away is eliminated by a slim margin over Breaking the Habit. The remaining songs are: Hybrid Theory: - With You - A Place For My Head - Papercut Meteora: - Faint - Breaking the Habit - Figure.09 Minutes to Midnight: - In Pieces - No More Sorrow A Thousand Suns: - Waiting for the End - When They Come For Me B-Sides: - QWERTY I'll vote Breaking the Habit.
  10. Something I forgot to mention. I expect a lot of unhappy fans for LP's fifth album.
  11. Just compare Fort Minor to Dead By Sunrise and it's pretty clear that Mike is the better lyricist. Also, I guess I meant to say that Mike is more skillful, then.
  12. The round is over: Breaking the Habit 2 My December 5 In Pieces 4 The Little Things Give You Away 4 Figure.09 2 QWERTY 4 My December is eliminated leaving QWERTY as the only remaining b-side. The remaining songs are: Hybrid Theory: - With You - A Place For My Head - Papercut Meteora: - Faint - Breaking the Habit - Figure.09 Minutes to Midnight: - In Pieces - The Little Things Give You Away - No More Sorrow A Thousand Suns: - Waiting for the End - When They Come For Me B-Sides: - QWERTY I'll vote Breaking the Habit.
  13. I want them to make something really heavy and really melodic (lots of heavy instrumentation with lots of melodic singing). But it's really not about what I want. I'll just take whatever LP throws at us.
  14. The round is over: Breaking the Habit 2 Iridescent 6 In Pieces 3 With You 1 And One 6 QWERTY 2 My December 1 Figure.09 1 Since there is a tie, Iridescent and And One are eliminated. The remaining songs are: Hybrid Theory: - With You - A Place For My Head - Papercut Meteora: - Faint - Breaking the Habit - Figure.09 Minutes to Midnight: - In Pieces - The Little Things Give You Away - No More Sorrow A Thousand Suns: - Waiting for the End - When They Come For Me B-Sides: - QWERTY - My December I'll vote Breaking the Habit.
  15. It looks like a European festival tour is coming. This is awesome news since these European Festivals seem to be where we get the majority of proshot videos from.
  16. This sounds neat. I wonder what other bands will be playing.
  17. I think Chester did some things on ATS that were more complex than things he did on previous records. The Messenger and The Catalyst are good examples of this.
  18. I like the set that had A Place For My Head.
  19. I don't think ATS is going to need 8 singles to go platinum. It's only been out a few months and is already half-way there. Given LP's habit of taking three or more years to release a new album, ATS has plenty of time to go platinum. And before everyone jumps on me, I know the 7-8 singles thing was a joke.
  20. I'm excited to hear some of the collaborations that are supposed to be on this such as RZA, Chester, Tom Morello, and B.o.B.
  21. Cool song list. It'll be fun to play if I ever get my xbox online.
  22. chorus –noun 1. Music . ... d. a part of a song that recurs at intervals, usually following each verse; refrain Under this definition, WTCFM definitely has a chorus. Also. by your definition: Lyric –adjective Also, lyr·i·cal. 4. pertaining to, rendered by, or employing singing. This means something can be lyrical without having words. So, by your definition, WTCFM definitely has a chorus.
  23. http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/chart_wat...-does-it-again/ scroll down. it says there's 547,000 sold (including 143,000 digital) I believe that the billboard charts only use U.S. sales. If i'm mistaken, sorry.
  24. Forgotten and OSC are structured just like the rest of the album with just very slight differences. Forgotten has that intro/prechorus thing but is still rap verses, melodic chorus, heavy bridge. One Step Closer is just like every other song on the album just with singing instead of rapping in the verses. Hybrid Theory is very formulaic. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but don't deny the truth.
