I'll take In Between over LFY, Figure.09, FTI, or APFM any day.
Music is subjective. Everybody has different opinions on what song they like more. At the end of the day there really aren't "better" or "worse" songs.
To me it looks like Chester was still talking about Daron in that section. The interviewer said something about Daron and then went back to talking about Tom. It did say the phone was cutting in and out - maybe Chester just missed him changing the subject back.
You don't get to be the biggest rock band in the world without being mainstream. Even if they're not "posers who try to fit in" they are still a mainstream band that makes (for the most part) easily digestible rock music. It's not a negative thing to say a band is mainstream just like it's not necessarily a positive to say a band is "indie" or "underground" or anything. Music can be good at all levels of popularity just like music can be bad at all levels. People just need to stop attaching such negative connotations to the word "mainstream."
We can add Rebellion (Feat. Daron Malakian) to that list now. Also we know Page Hamilton will be on All For Nothing.
According to the latest article, there are going to be 12 songs on the album so we've got two more to find out!
Is this a thing?
Nirvana's With the Lights Out anthology was anything but boring. It was a bunch of unreleased b-sides, demos, live tracks, covers, etc.
