  1. I really like the bridge of FF. Otherwise it doesn't really stand out from the rest of the One More Light sessions. It's a solid but unspectacular song like the rest of that batch.
  2. I'm not gonna lie. I'm kind of disappointed it ended up just being QWERTY. Like, what's the point of the secrecy for a song we already have? Unless it's a different version of it, it seems pointless to do that.
  3. Resolution has a more complete-sounding instrumental.
  4. Yeah, I was gonna say that LP has used a variant of that logo since 2007 and the most iconic version of that logo is the MTM.
  5. Frankenstein song is a perfect description. Like Until It Breaks, it's made from spare parts.
  6. Sonically, QWERTY sounds so much more like the Minutes to Midnight era than the Meteora era. The song is much more stripped down like MTM with a hard rock vibe more similar to Given Up and No More Sorrow than any of the hard rock/metal vibes on Meteora. The only similarity it has with Meteora is the rapped verses/sung chorus structure. But of course, we also have that on Bleed It Out, Hands Held High, Debris and probably Asbestos as well if the song had gotten a chorus.
  7. I'm dying for a release date. I'm loving the snippet so much.
  8. QWERTY sounds very much like the Minutes to Midnight era. It would fit right in with songs like Given Up, No More Sorrow, Across the Line, Asbestos, etc.
  9. So we got Lost as part of M20 last year. If Friendly Fire does anywhere close to Lost numbers, do you think Warner and the band will come up with some reason to pull another song from the vault next year?
  10. It would be hilarious if there's a Hunting Party outtake on here without any songs actually from the album represented.
  11. While SOTD peaked high, I don't feel like it had any cultural staying power the way many of their other songs have. Still feels weird to exclude it.
  12. I always assumed And One made it further into the HT sessions because of the existence of the different version they played live. I wouldn't be shocked if the three songs that didn't make the cut are that version of And One, the new version of High Voltage, and a version of Step Up since it was also played live during the HT era.
  13. Do you think the announcement with whatever track 14 is will also coincide with the release of that song? Or maybe a release date for the song?
  14. Just putting the songs in release order is the boring way to make a Greatest Hits album. I like when they're arranged in a way that takes listenability and flow into account. It makes it seem like a little more effort was put into the project at the very least.
  15. Greatest Hits albums don't make a lot of sense in this current era of music, but if it's a way to get an unreleased song, I'm down.
  16. This is super cool. While I'm not a big DBS guy, I appreciate a release like this for the fans who are. The acoustic versions are great though since it doesn't have the (in my opinion) over-produced sound of the album.
  17. The Hunting Party is dope as hell. It’s like heavy A Thousand Suns. I think the production could have used a little work, but other than that I absolutely love that album.
  18. Do we have an estimated release date other than "end of the month"?
  19. Is it part of something bigger? Is the "singles collection" legit?
  20. I've been saying for a while now that I would love for them to do one more album "with" Chester by creating an album using unfinished demos that Chester recorded vocals for. It would be a nice way to close that chapter of Linkin Park.
  21. This is exactly what I’m assuming it is. Unless the reason Mike pushed out the last few Already Over sessions in quick succession is because there was a development in the Linkin Park world, I don’t see this being part of any sort of significant project.
  22. Fingers crossed this is true. I'm always down for more Linkin Park.
  23. I loved the extra embellishments added by the pianist and guitarist here. I wish more of the versions of AO were like this and Berlin. Let the guests make an impression on the song.
  24. I'm also disappointed that Mike's mic was so low in the mix. I love Fall Out Boy so seeing Mike on stage with them is really cool.
