  1. Does the song officially release Thursday? I wonder how it ended up leaking. I feel like that's not very common in this day and age.
  2. I feel like Deluxe editions released a year later with bonus tracks is something that's more popular now than it was during LP's original run. For that reason alone, I see something like this as a possibility.
  3. I wouldn't be surprised if we got an extended version of From Zero next summer, honestly, but the soonest I would expect another album is late 2026/early 2027.
  4. If this song releases soon, we are absolutely going to get a fourth song before the album release. I kinda wish that they hadn't released HITC so soon after The Emptiness Machine, but I get that for it to tie into the whole League of Legends thing, they kinda had to. I'm hoping that we don't get Over Each Other until the last week of October so they don't really have time to release another single.
  5. I always get excited when I see artists they've collaborated with on the bill with them. Fingers crossed for Daron to come out and do Rebellion with them again. Edit: Just noticed Seven Hours After Violet is on here, too. Half of System of a Down will be there! lol
  6. I wonder if Rob's "active involvement" during this period was mostly, "I'll play the drums when we get to that part of the recording process." As for the outside songwriters thing: Members of the band have stated that they've been screwing around with ideas and recording and writing stuff for fun since like 2019 with no thought of whether it was Linkin Park music or not. I bet a lot of these songs weren't originally envisioned as Linkin Park songs, but rather became LP songs later in the process. I feel like The Emptiness Machine was written later in the process with the goal of reintroducing the band after it was decided that they would still be Linkin Park (like, just look at the structure - Mike singing the whole first third of the song by himself anchors it in something familiar with Emily coming in later in the song to introduce the new element all while maintaining that classic Linkin Park sound).
  7. Right now, I'm planning not to listen to anything else from them until the album releases, but I know that's not going to actually happen once it drops.
  8. That's pretty neat. Do you have a screen grab?
  9. Linkin Park is pretty damn big in America. They've had tons of hits and new albums always release at/near the top of the Billboard charts.
  10. I don't think they really "reformed" after Xero because the band still consisted of the same guys. They renamed the band and found a new vocalist. Xero = Hybrid Theory = Linkin Park
  11. I think an EP would be a great place to get experimental. There's not as much expectation as there is with an album.
  12. I also hate this insistence that Rob owes us some kind of statement. Saying stuff like it's the "decent" thing for him to do reeks of entitlement. If Rob ever wants to clarify things, cool. If not, he's not failing to meet some obligation he has to the fans.
  13. > the game Arcane League of Legends Arcane is actually a TV series based on the game League of Legends, not a game itself.
  14. With Helmet supporting, fingers crossed for Page to come out and do All For Nothing.
  15. It's that synth at the end. It sounds very similar to one that's used on a few different Meteora demos. The breakdown riff also feels reminiscent of that era's demos.
  16. Got a chance to listen. I don't like it as much as Emptiness Machine, but it's a lot of fun. The scream in the breakdown was sick as hell.
  17. I could absolutely see Linkin Park experimenting again in the future, but this isn't the album for it. They probably feel the need to prove that they're still Linkin Park even with a new lineup. This is gonna be LP-by-numbers.
  18. I could imagine Blackout being another song where Mike takes over verse vocals like Points of Authority and Leave Out All the Rest.
  19. I was also getting Enjoy the Silence remix vibes. Seems I'm not alone.
  20. The chorus sounds a lot like Already Over.
  21. I think some people's obsession with wanting a Chester tribute at every show is weird. Not only have we already received numerous tributes since 2017, it would just downplay the significance of what they're doing right now. We all love and miss Chester, but Linkin Park is trying to move forward. Constantly looking back wouldn't help that at all.
  22. That could make sense for additional collaborators or producers or whatever, but it's a little weird that they have different mixing and mastering credits. Those, in my opinion, should be handled at the end of the process together to make the most cohesive sound possible. Of course, professionals should be able to mix and master in a way that's cohesive with other parts of the same project.
  23. Yeah, that is a weird decision. You would think they'd want one consistent pipeline to make the album sound cohesive.
  24. Elizondo is a very prominent producer and songwriter. I know him best for the stuff he did in the 2000s in hip-hop with Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, etc. But he's also worked in a ton of genres and with a ton of artists.
