  1. I wouldn't hold my breath on them releasing anything uncensored. Everything that was originally censored in the Hybrid Theory era remained censored on HT20 as far as I remember.
  2. I don't know the full story for those songs so I can't say anything about them but Blackbirds was recorded and mixed during the Minutes to Midnight era. It originally released months before The Catalyst kicked off the A Thousand Suns era as a reward for completing the 8-bit Rebellion game. The only reason it ended up later releasing on a version of A Thousand Suns is because that's the album that had the nearest release date to 8-bit Rebellion. Blackbirds is 100 percent a Minutes to Midnight b-side. No part of it was worked on during the A Thousand Suns sessions.
  3. But the song was recorded during the Minutes to Midnight era. It's a b-side from MTM, not A Thousand Suns.
  4. What's the source on those two songs being instrumental? Was it speculation or confirmed by somebody?
  5. Massive, Resolution or Wesside could end up being Soundtrack with vocals.
  6. I love when people find shit like this in ancient material.
  7. In this context I think it's pretty obvious what songs are being talked about. It's not misleading at all.
  8. My guess is that the final chorus - and maybe the bridge - of Figure.09 (either melody or lyrics) comes from Plaster II. The Figure.09 demo we got on LPU9 is very similar to the final version instrumentally.
  9. For Meteora: Per the chat box it looks like Serpent has actually been Shortcut this whole time (and is the working title for Fighting Myself). Also Interrogation can be added for Easier To Run, Nursery/Hearsay is probably Husky (which is Hit The Floor), Plaster II is Figure.09 and Shifter is From The Inside.
  10. Hey y'all! With us now having a few Meteora b-sides out in the wild (Lost, Fighting Myself, More The Victim and (arguably) the short form of A.06) where would you slide them into Meteora? Would you rearrange the existing tracks? Omit some songs? Here's my rearranged Meteora: 1. A.06 (with Foreword tacked onto the end) 2. Don't Stay 3. Somewhere I Belong 4. Lying From You 5. Fighting Myself 6. Lost 7. Easier To Run 8. Faint 9. Figure.09 10. Breaking The Habit 11. From The Inside 12. Nobody's Listening 13. Session 14. Numb Outside of the new intro I'm keeping it mostly the same but replacing HTF with Fighting Myself and adding Lost before Easier To Run.
  11. I thought it was 15 songs that got whittled down to 12 which would include Session? I don't think we'll get another full, polished outtake with vocals. I do think A6 is going to have vocals but I'm expecting a rougher demo compared to Fighting Myself, More The Victim and Lost which are fully realized songs with polished instruments and vocals.
  12. More The Victim is so damn good! Like Lost I see how it doesn't fit Meteora but I absolutely love it. Probably more than Lost even and I freaking love that. Fighting Myself is a lot like Hit The Floor. I'm guessing they decided they only needed one or the other. Edit: Oh my god that final chorus on Fighting Myself. Why was this not on Meteora? Holy shit!
  13. So More The Victim is Cumulus with vocals? Does the instrumental sound the same as the released demo or is it updated? Can't wait to listen when I get home from work!!
  14. The thought of new Linkin Park music is getting me excited. The Meteora anniversary stuff is great but I would take brand new music over unreleased old music any day.
  15. Should you get a confirmation email when the order goes through? There was a glitch at the end of my checkout and I don't want to accidentally buy two box sets/get my card charged twice. lol
  16. I think it's odd that Hit The Floor didn't translate well live. On the record it feels like it would be a great song for a live show.
  17. It's pretty cool that they're giving us two of the unreleased tracks this time instead of one (technically) unreleased (but leaked years earlier) and one already released track like with HT20.
  18. And? We're allowed to like songs the band members aren't particularly fond of.
  19. I like Lost more than Nobody's Listening but I think NL is important to the flow of the album and Linkin Park in general being able to branch out into more styles on subsequent albums. The seeds for experimentation were set on Meteora with songs like Breaking the Habit and Nobody's Listening so they could push more of their boundaries with MTM.
  20. Easier To Run is like my second favorite LP ballad so I'm gonna have to disagree with you there.
  21. I think it's one of Chester's best vocal performances from the era but the song overall isn't better than the ballads that are already on the album. If you replace Hit The Floor or Nobody's Listening then I think the album becomes too ballad-heavy for Linkin Park in 2003.
  22. lmao Bieber and Cyrus aren't even the artists being played on radio stations. This take is so dated it belongs in a museum.
