  1. He can't have believed in his case too strongly if he was willing to drop everything for a box set. lol
  2. Nine Inch Nails recently had a couple of songs added to this. The version of March of the Pigs even included a studio recording of the live outro they've been playing for years which was really cool to have.
  3. With the exception of The Nothing, Korn has released b-sides for every album going back to SYOTOS. They release b-sides all the time!
  4. The only demos that might exist would be the original mashups that were made before they rerecorded vocals (and that one guitar part for Numb/Encore). Those would just be inferior versions of the songs we already have. I don't think we've ever heard of a mashup that was started and left unfinished. The whole thing came together in a couple of days, right? It's been a while since I watched the DVD.
  5. Did they actually do anything to Blackbirds that late in the process? I know Not Alone and Pretend to Be were started during the MTM sessions and finished post-MTM, but I always thought Blackbirds was finished during the MTM sessions and just wasn't released until much later.
  6. I think I would put What Are You Worth in front of Good Goodbye and Friendly Fire in front of Sharp Edges. Where would you put them? Would you omit something else in their favor? How would you shuffle the tracklist? Place to Start and Make It Up As I Go also had their origins in the OML era. Would you include either of them?
  7. I really like the bridge of FF. Otherwise it doesn't really stand out from the rest of the One More Light sessions. It's a solid but unspectacular song like the rest of that batch.
  8. I'm not gonna lie. I'm kind of disappointed it ended up just being QWERTY. Like, what's the point of the secrecy for a song we already have? Unless it's a different version of it, it seems pointless to do that.
  9. Resolution has a more complete-sounding instrumental.
  10. Yeah, I was gonna say that LP has used a variant of that logo since 2007 and the most iconic version of that logo is the MTM.
  11. Frankenstein song is a perfect description. Like Until It Breaks, it's made from spare parts.
  12. Sonically, QWERTY sounds so much more like the Minutes to Midnight era than the Meteora era. The song is much more stripped down like MTM with a hard rock vibe more similar to Given Up and No More Sorrow than any of the hard rock/metal vibes on Meteora. The only similarity it has with Meteora is the rapped verses/sung chorus structure. But of course, we also have that on Bleed It Out, Hands Held High, Debris and probably Asbestos as well if the song had gotten a chorus.
  13. I'm dying for a release date. I'm loving the snippet so much.
  14. QWERTY sounds very much like the Minutes to Midnight era. It would fit right in with songs like Given Up, No More Sorrow, Across the Line, Asbestos, etc.
  15. So we got Lost as part of M20 last year. If Friendly Fire does anywhere close to Lost numbers, do you think Warner and the band will come up with some reason to pull another song from the vault next year?
  16. It would be hilarious if there's a Hunting Party outtake on here without any songs actually from the album represented.
  17. While SOTD peaked high, I don't feel like it had any cultural staying power the way many of their other songs have. Still feels weird to exclude it.
  18. I always assumed And One made it further into the HT sessions because of the existence of the different version they played live. I wouldn't be shocked if the three songs that didn't make the cut are that version of And One, the new version of High Voltage, and a version of Step Up since it was also played live during the HT era.
  19. Do you think the announcement with whatever track 14 is will also coincide with the release of that song? Or maybe a release date for the song?
  20. Just putting the songs in release order is the boring way to make a Greatest Hits album. I like when they're arranged in a way that takes listenability and flow into account. It makes it seem like a little more effort was put into the project at the very least.
  21. Greatest Hits albums don't make a lot of sense in this current era of music, but if it's a way to get an unreleased song, I'm down.
  22. This is super cool. While I'm not a big DBS guy, I appreciate a release like this for the fans who are. The acoustic versions are great though since it doesn't have the (in my opinion) over-produced sound of the album.
  23. The Hunting Party is dope as hell. It’s like heavy A Thousand Suns. I think the production could have used a little work, but other than that I absolutely love that album.
  24. Do we have an estimated release date other than "end of the month"?
  25. Is it part of something bigger? Is the "singles collection" legit?
