Source? Where did you hear that?

Admittedly, I don't know much about StageLight. I know that when it launched in 2012, there were a bunch of demos included, like Chicken Basket. I think they were just short idea seed type things, like 10 minute drum loops, etc. They weren't complete demos like Bruiser or Space Station, etc.

Anyone who has StageLight...

Apparently, a demo from the MTM Era entitled ''Episodes'' (as seen on the making of MTM as well) was released alongside a bunch of other demos or seeds or whatever you call them.

Has anyone ever put this track together? If so, is it possible to be shared here? I'd love to hear what it sounded like.

Wow, a ton of demos in there. There were also a bunch of other demos that came out with the second bundle pack in 2014 as well, I remember there being stuff like ''Coffee'', ''Odyssey'' and more. Would be cool to hear all of these. Has anybody ever ripped all of them?

Well, to be fair, we have heard Coffee and Odyssey - they're Keys To The Kingdom and A Line In The Sand, respectively.

As far as I know, all you have to do is to get the Linkin Park version of Stagelight and it should come with the samples.

You can find a list here:

This person put together the demos available in each bundle:

2012: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oAEIW0rxZU

2014: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcABpeEqWbc

Demos like Episodes (with only 1 sound available) are not there though.

You can hear the full songs (instrumentals) from the first bundle here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWx98XE3_bg

And download Asteroids (from the second bundle) here:

Since we're talking about Stagelight, I have a question:

Does anybody has a list of the demos used in the "Loop Jam"s and "Asteroids"?

I recently saw that there was a Mike Shinoda Remix of a song called ''Wednesday Was A Good Day''. I assumed it was fake since I've never heard of it.. But is it? I did some googling and found a lot of sites that had info on it from 2011 and what not, even Worldstarhiphop did.

"Wednesday Was A Good Day" was a parody of Ice Cube's "It Was A Good Day" created by Jawbone (american technology company). It was part of their campaign for the JAMBOX Bluetooth Speaker. The concept of the video is described in their YouTube channel:

What would happen if Ice Cube's "Today was a Good Day" was fast forwarded 18 years later and set in a modern-day start-up? ...in a world with no pagers or drop top convertibles, just Foursquare check-ins and beach cruisers. You're about to find out.

Basically, Mike Shinoda watched the video and liked it but decided to add a few more elements from Ice Cube's original song to their song. The remix was uploaded to Mike's YouTube channel and posted in his blog.

Is Anyone here a Linkin Park oldie who knows everything they have released? like every demo,Stems ect, I think i have found something you will like, Found some weird stuff at my Uncle's old studio

Perhaps you could give us a hint. Is it a demo from Hybrid Theory era or something like that?

I'm not really sure what it is, they are like weird instrumentals or even earlier mixes of those demo tracks on the Hybrid Theory song sample demo CD's, Some have vocals and then cut to instrumental, to me it sounds like something randomly made from stems, but there are no stems for these Demo's so i'm not sure how they came to be.

Here is something i found of that demo "Super Xero" but it sounds nothing like it when i go listen to the actual demo

Could you give us the tracklist? Just to see the veracity.

...This is truly one of the most interesting things I've ever heard in my time in the LP community. It sounds like a board mix from a studio session where the engineer was randomly muting/soloing various tracks during playback to check on levels and the overall quality of individual performances. I'm working on a minor in music production alongside my guitar degree right now, and this literally sounds exactly like what I do at the board while playing back mixes before making decisions on whether to re-record anything or not.

There are no currently circulating stems for these demos, and quite frankly, I can't imagine any reason something like this would exist...but there's no way FOR anything like this to exist without someone having access to the stems in the first place either.

So these are different from the ones you said you're doing by yourself?:

I have been doing this with other bands songs and posting the links on forums just to show something you havent heard before.

I have extracted background vocals from those old demos with Mark

I'm interested to see if any of you have done the same with other songs.

If you want to share it with us, there are several ways to do it, you can write something up and post it by yourself and we'll edit and move it to its appropriate place, or you can send us the files and will write and post about it, but it's all depends on what and how much stuff you've got.

To me it sounds like a DIY effect but Astat just bought your story so that's very interesting and i'm really looking forward to see if this is real or not.

If you actually have all that stuff throw some pictures, share the full stuff, let's make an article about it.

Yea man i'll get some stuff together ;)

And can anybody answer me this question?

i went through that list of all demo's and unreleased and i dont see that version of crawling called "Under Attack"

the one where chester yells at the start, Where does that version come from?

"Under Attack" is a fake name. The song was always called "Crawling". The version you're talking about comes from the 9-track demo CD from February 11, 2000:

Thankyou, that must annoy you guys that the majority of people are going to live their life thinking that it's called "Under Attack"

i just wanted to know what it's name was because there is a clip i have of Mike's whisper stems from that demo

but it i think the echo's are different http://picosong.com/Ts38/

And i read all of the details on those Demo releases and gotta say i like how you guys gave such a good description for it all.

EDIT: So i've read somewhere that the Hybrid Theory EP was Re-issued because they changed the band name, and the reissue version become LPU1, Is it true that the tracks on the re-issue version were changed/mixed differently? even slightly? if so i want to download it
