RogueSoul Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Mike Shinoda's Post Traumatic album is out next month, and he's just released the tracklist! Place To Start Over Again Watching As I Fall Nothing Makes Sense Anymore About You (feat. Blackbear) Brooding (Instrumental) Promises I Can't Keep Crossing A Line Hold It Together Ghosts Make It Up As I Go (feat. K.Flay) Lift Off (feat. Chino Moreno & Machine Gun Kelly) I.O.U. Running From My Shadow (feat. Grandson) World's On Fire Can't Hear You Now Lots of interesting stuff going on - we've obviously heard six of the tracks already (the Post Traumatic EP songs 'Place To Start,' 'Over Again,' and 'Watching As I Fall,' as well as the singles 'Crossing A Line' and 'About You,' and also 'Nothing Makes Sense Anymore.'), and with 16 songs overall, there's still double-digits of tracks we haven't heard yet. The features are looking awesome, too: the up and coming grandson features in 'Running From My Shadow,' Mike's new friend K.Flay (who he hung out with a couple months back when he saw Imagine Dragons perform) on 'Make It Up As I Go,' blackbear who we've already heard on 'About You,' and, perhaps the most exciting, Chino Moreno from the Deftones and Machine Gun Kelly on 'Lift Off.' This album's bound to be packed with awesome, powerful music. Who's excited for the record? Post Traumatic is out on June 15, so be sure to pre-order it if you haven't already. Mike begins touring for Post Traumatic this Saturday, May 12, with two shows in Los Angeles. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for updates on Mike's music and tour, and join the LPLive Discord for discussion on the band and more! Quote
KeysToTheLinkinPark Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 12. Lift Off (feat. Chino Moreno & Machine Gun Kelly) Well MGK is not a surprise but Chino? Man, I'm hyped Quote
Coizu Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 I am pretty hyped for the K.Flay and Chino collaborations. Couldn‘t care less about MGK though. Also out of curiosity: where does the songlist come from? I haven‘t seen it posted anywhere official before you posted it. Quote
AdamArtz Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 I KNEW MGK WAS ON THE ALBUM I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW IT FUCK YES THIS IS GOING TO BE THE FEATURE OF THE ALBUM Quote
xxHybridXeroxx Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Some of those song names sound very emotional. Intrigued to hear Lift Off. Especially with Chino from Deftones... Should be an amazing album. Quote
Mesck547 Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Running From My Shadow was added to the BMI database before Crossing A Line was released and I genuinely thought it was another dumb mistake on BMI's part. I stand corrected The tracklist looks pretty crazy. Especially the features on Lift Off. Quote
GlassCastles Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 yay... Machine Gun Kelly... Other than that track titles sound great. Really intrigued by the closing three tracks. Quote
HybridParty Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 No ‘Looking For An Answer’. Hmmm, I wonder if that confirms that the song is a LP song now? Quote
Coizu Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 No ‘Looking For An Answer’. Hmmm, I wonder if that confirms that the song is a LP song now? The only thing that this confirms is that it won‘t be on Post Traumatic. Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 No Looking For An Answer. Hmmm, I wonder if that confirms that the song is a LP song now? Fits better as an LP song. Quote
Geki Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 I called MGK being on the album way back and Soul attacked me for saying so. But cool tracklisting nonetheless. Can’t wait to hear a few of these. Quote
Justin Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 No Looking For An Answer. Hmmm, I wonder if that confirms that the song is a LP song now? Im pretty sure he said that. All the members of LP were working on their own parts to the song if Im not mistaken. Quote
lpliveusername Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 I'd like to point out the people listed on the main post aren't the only collaborators on the album. "About You" also features Basecamp, Ross Golan (who worked on Halfway Right) was also involved with "Running From My Shadow", and let's not forget the percussion on "Place To Start" was recorded by Rob Bourdon. I'm pretty sure we will hear about more people being involved with the album. Im pretty sure he said that. All the members of LP were working on their own parts to the song if Im not mistaken. Yeah, he said he sent the song to the rest of the band. Quote
Soeffingnaive92 Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Definitely cool, MGK, Chino, K Flay, song titles, it s all sooooo damn cool. The (unexpected for me) hype begins Quote
martinez Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 (edited) I didn't get any special hype, when I see the tracklist, but I'm still interested in how those tracks will sound. Not all members of Basecamp did additional production in About You, just those two members - Aaron C. Harmon, Jordan Reyes Edited May 11, 2018 by martinez Quote
mattyice318 Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Eww, K.Flay. K Flay is fire, not for everybody though. She's definitely a talented writer and rapper Quote
RickLPL Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Getting real excited about this. I don't care much about these guests, but the titles sound cool Quote
leftshoe18 Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 I called MGK being on the album way back and Soul attacked me for saying so. But cool tracklisting nonetheless. Can’t wait to hear a few of these. Yep I remember that. It was pretty ridiculous. Quote
RentEznor Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Already confirmed here, but Mike posted this a few hours ago today on Instagram: Quote
RogueSoul Posted May 16, 2018 Author Posted May 16, 2018 Man, even just reading the titles you really get a sense of a narrative. It's like he's speaking from an outside perspective watching himself go through it all. I just keep getting more excited for this album. Quote
martinez Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 (edited) the word "grandson" is the only one that is not in all caps Edited May 16, 2018 by martinez Quote
RogueSoul Posted May 16, 2018 Author Posted May 16, 2018 the word "grandson" is the only one that is not in all caps I'm pretty sure that's because grandson specifically stylizes his name like that Quote
