Is there any update on the time frame for an Indian show?

Haven't heard from the contact in organisers in a long time regarding this. Last I heard was that when all was set and decided, LP booking agent (or whatever) asked for whole amount to be paid in advance just to announce the shows. No booking fee or even 50 % of the amount . 100%. Negotiations got stuck there i guess.

Anybody has knowledge of the usual process regarding this ? Guys from Brazil ?

By the way proposed time-frame was July-August 2015 for 2 shows in India.

As rahul mentions all these were actually proposed by the organiser to happen for a concert to happen in march - august time frame 2015 but things seem to move in an diffrent way now. We havnt heard any news from our organiser as far now , we will keep you guys posted , But as far we know the mangement wants two shows to happen since they play for the first time just like they did South Africa in 2012. The proposed cities for the events to happen are most likely Delhi , Bengaluru (India) . If the organiser goes with just one its most likely to happen at the same venue as STP was proposed to happen.

Updated.

All we need is updates on the India planning (so, is it cancelled in negotiations at this point or still being worked out?) and details about Lolla + RiR Rio/Brazil Tour + South Africa.

It's like a said in another thread: the same journalist who confirmed the last two Linkin Park tours in Brazil and the date of the concert at Rock in Rio Las Vegas, said yesterday that two bands which played in Brazilian festivals in 2014 are in negotiation with Lollapalooza Brazil. Probably LP is one of them. We can almost say it for sure because we have this note from Folha de São Paulo, the most important newspaper in Brazil.
About Rock in Rio, until now we just have the information from Multishow.
UPDATE: It looks like the line-up of Lollapalooza Chile has leaked. No LP!
We still have to wait their official announcement next week and see if it's true. Maybe LP will be playing just in Argentina and Brazil? Or the tour was cancelled?

Yeah. Uh pretty sure India won't be happening coz they've always disappointed us. -_-

It is still being negotiated upon.

Just a little informal chat with contact in organisers.

translation of the part in hindi ( 3rd blue bubble) : And the part where they asked for 100 % fee in advance , is that settled ?

Show in India is not yet dead. It's a waiting game for now.

Thanks for sharing. I guess there's no initiative put forward for an Asia Tour yet? I'd guess that with this China rumor and India rumor that things are starting to be put into play.

Yeah July-August was expected time-frame given to us and that was many months back , as they come closer definitely things will be put into place.

  • 2 weeks later...

So, LP will be not touring in South American on March, 2015, but if you go to Lollapalooza you will be able to see Steve Aoki playing A Light That Never Comes :P
Now, let's see if we can see them at Rock in Rio in the end of year.

UPDATE:

The lineup of Lollapalooza Chile:

Same thing here, there's no LP.

UPDATE # 2:

The lineup of Lollapalooza Argentina:

So, LP definitely is not coming to South America on March, 2015.

Updated, thanks for pointing that stuff out. Hmm, it they didn't visit South America now, that could mean they might already have plans to perform in September there, since they're strongly rumored for Rock in Rio there.

Added a section for Dates Cancelled in Negotiations in the spoiler tags.

I'm glad I could help.
Yeah, Rock in Rio is a good possibility for Brazil but not for other South American countries.
The text of the spoiler tags is still saying that there is a chance of performances at Lollapalooza.
"There are currently two potential times in which LP will perform in South America again: March 2015 (Lollapalooza) and September 2015 (Rock in Rio 6)"

Guys do you really think they will be back to Europe in July and August?

Yes. There is simply too much money to be made in Europe at the festivals to pass that up when you have the availability to do it. They earn much more headlining one of those festivals than they do playing several arena shows. Rock am Ring/Rock im Park, Rock In Rio, Pinkpop, Rock Werchter, NovaRock, etc all pay LP BIG money.

We can't add it based on the fact that it happens in Europe at that time. We need to have SOME form of proof; such as in the case of Glastonbury, there are organizers in favor of them headlining, whereas there's nothing about Sonisphere out there.

Right I get ya.

I'd love Linkin park to play Glastonbury but it will be iron maid there the favourites to headline and the more likely
