  1. Huh? Did I miss something?
  2. I really, REALLY like this. Pretty easily my favorite lead single since The Catalyst. I like Kiiara on this a lot more than I thought I would.

  4. I'm down with these lyrics, honestly. I really feel the "personal" thing they were talking about.
  5. Yes. You see, there are these things called "opinions". Everyone is allowed to have one, even if they differ from your own. For example, I think this song sounds great. I dig the chord progression a lot, and it meshes well with that organ/synth sound.
  6. I think he was asking if it was possible for LP to play the Grammys. Still, I doubt they are.
  7. Really? Because it seems like you do care. A lot. Someone that truly doesn't care about whatever LP does studio-wise (which is 100% fine, you do you) wouldn't spend so much of their time doing nothing but bitching about how they can't stand that it MIGHT be going in a poppier direction. It seriously seems like you're trying to convince YOURSELF that you don't give a shit about what LP does in the studio because you don't like the potential direction of the album. What Dylan and Broman said is 100% correct. This is not in anyway indicative of what LP7 will sound like, nor are you (general you) being forced to listen to this, a song from a Japanese pop rock/alternative rock band. There are plenty of other bands doing plenty of other sounds out there.
  8. Damn, I was hoping they would feature on the new LP album. Song is great, though.

  10. I really think Paramore would be a solid choice. There seems to be a fair bit of crossover with the fans, and they're fantastic live. New album this year, too. All Time Low is really only feasible if their album comes out WAY sooner than I'm thinking it will. I'd love for LP to take them on the road, but I just don't see it happening. I'd also be pretty surprised if good ol' Twenty Pilots went on tour with LP this year, mostly because they seem to just about be done with touring for Blurryface (it's coming up on two years for the album, and they've done, what, 3 or 4 US tours at this point for it, counting the one that's coming up soon?). Blink is probably the most obvious choice, though. Big band, they know each other and have played together, friends etc.
  11. DROP: Rebellion - It might stick around for the European tour, since SOAD is playing with LP at a few dates, but it'll go after that. Points of Authority - The song has really run its course. It was cool back in the MTM cycle, but now it's just kind of stale A Line In The Sand - I love it, but there's no way in hell this sticks around for the next cycle. From The Inside - This could kind of go either way. I'm leaning a bit more towards it going, though. Runaway - Really? Just go. Seriously Wastelands - Similar to From The Inside. I'm thinking the only THP song that will stick is Final Masquerade. Robot Boy - I just don't see how this will fit in a new setlist. Joe Solo - See Robot Boy Darker Than Blood - Might not count, but it'll probably go Remember The Name - Mike has no need to keep dedicating 6 minutes of the set to Fort Minor. This one was already superfluous in 2015, it'll be completely unnecessary next tour. Welcome - Again, no need for it. It made sense back in 2015, since Mike released the song while LP was out on tour, but it's not needed anymore. RETURN: No More Sorrow - The band really seemed to love this song, and it got the crowd hyped as fuck. ANY OTHER NON-INTERLUDE ATS TRACK - Seriously. WFTE being the only full song to be played form A Thousand Suns is really bad. Bring back WTCFM or WAK or BITS or something. Lost In The Echo - A single that is pretty energetic and the band seemed to love playing? I don't see why it was ever dropped.
  12. I'm pretty sure he's talking about the sung part. Since, you know, he mentioned Mike's singing.
  13. After my first listen, my favorites are Symphonies of Light (I want to add this into ATS between Catalyst and Messenger now), the Bleed It Out demo, Dark Crystal, and the Catalyst demo. Some pretty good stuff this time around. The LGM demo, though, is actually awful. The Catalyst, Bleed It Out, Consequence A, Lies Greed Misery, and Symphonies of Light all have vocals. Consequence is just "na na na"s, and LGM is all gibberish.
  14. 1. CHANGE UP THE SONG SELECTION. Not including stuff incorporated in medleys, mashups etc., the past two cycles have largely included the same few songs. It's getting old. The trend is 4-5 songs from the most recent album, half of Hybrid Theory, the Meteora singles, and the biggest hits from MTM on. Switch some out. Play No More Sorrow instead of Given Up at some shows. 2. PLAY THE ACTUAL ALBUM YOU'RE TOURING IN SUPPORT OF. On the LT cycle, 5/11 full songs weren't played, and on THP cycle, 5/10 full songs weren't played. I get it, they have songs they kind of need to play, but there are only a few songs that fall into that category. OSC, ITE, Faint, Numb, WID, ND, and BID. That's 7 songs out of 22-24 songs. Throw in 10 misc. tracks from the other albums, and you have room for 5-7 new songs in each set. You could easily fit 10-11 songs from the new album into 3 rotated sets. 3. Drop the shortened songs. It was annoying when it first started back in 2012 with Lying From You/Papercut, and it's annoying now. Some songs I understand shortening, but it got ridiculous on THP cycle. I mean, like 45 seconds of LITE was being played, only the chorus of Crawling was played and at a faster tempo for the first few shows, the BIGGEST SINGLE for THP, the album the band was supporting, was shortened. Some of the mashups/medleys are kind of cool, like Castle Experience and Mike's Solo back when he actually changed it up. The rest of the shortened songs and medleys can go. They waste time and just bring the energy down.
  15. The sixth and final bi-monthly track for LPU15 has been released, and it's an instrumental demo for the Hybrid Theory EP track, "Part of Me". LPU members can download the song here: https://linkinpark.com/store/free-downloads/11119/chair-1999-part-of-me-demo-digital-download And you can watch the track by track here: https://linkinpark.com/videos/31602/lpu-track-by-track-chair-1999-part-of-me-demo

  17. This was so much fun to work on. Thanks for getting me involved, guys!
  18. Another "LPU 9"-esque release would be pretty cool. A bunch of demos of songs that made albums, + one or two instrumentals/other demos. One of the other Tom Morello Jams Meadowlands (Waiting For The End Demo) Drawbar (Final Masquerade Demo) Castle Of Glass (Demo) Dingleberry (When They Come For Me Demo) Minutes To Midnight Instrumental From The Inside Demo Shadow Of The Day (Demo) Meteora Demo Tinfoil (Powerless Demo)
  19. Chester having fun is holding up the new album It is cool to see him branch out and just rock out. He seems to really enjoy doing these "classic rock" type shows.
  20. By "big shows" I am going to assume you mean festivals. Pretty much all the "big shows" that LP do are already past, and they by no means would they need to postpone if they were happening in 2017, since the album will definitely be out early next year. Even if you meant "big shows" as just a run of the mill LP show, a few of the guys on LP's touring staff, like Pooch (I think, like 90% certain he's one of them), are booked through mid-November, so I'm pretty sure they're not planning shows within that timeframe. So, unless they had plans to do a huge tour in December, which is the holidays so I doubt, I'm fairly certain they're not too worried about postponing any possible shows. But, hey, I could be wrong.
  21. Wow. That might be the most blatant sarcasm/fucking around/trolling I've ever read in a tweet, and STILL people take it as a possibile truth. More likely, it's just Mike saying "Hey, the album won't be out until early next year". It's not because ProTools is crashing, it's just because this album is taking longer to write than they initially anticipated. They don't even have a tour PLANNED right now, so no, they aren't gonna have to cancel a tour.
  22. 1. What I've Done (AMBO Intro; Ext. Guitar Solo Bridge) 2. Lying From You (Ext. Outro) 3. Bleed It Out (Ext. Bridge w/ 'A Place For My Head' v1 + Bridge) 4. Papercut 5. Numb (Guitar Intro; 'Numb/Encore' Outro) 6. Empty Spaces 7. When They Come For Me 8. Keys To The Kingdom (Hip-Hop Intro w/ 'Victimized' rap) 9. From The Inside 10. In The End 11. Waiting For The End (Apaches Intro w/ 'Hands Held High' v2; Wall of Noise Outro) 12. Mark The Graves 13. Castle Of Glass (Experience Version; Bridge w/ 'Kenji' v1 + 'Wisdom, Justice, and Love' Speech Samples; Oppenheimer Outro) 14. Burning In The Skies 15. Final Masquerade 16. New Divide 17. Burn It Down 18. Fallout (Ext. w/ 'Darker Than Blood' v1 + Chorus) 19. The Catalyst 20. A Line In The Sand ------------------- 21. No More Sorrow (Long Intro) 22. Rebellion 23. Lost In The Echo 24. Faint (Ext. Outro) 25. One Step Closer (Ext. Outro)
  23. And replace them with what? I'm genuinely curious.
  24. They've remedied that now, though. All new albums come out on Fridays.
  25. No, it was done by someone over on LPA.
