Pusha is comparing the relationship to a jail sentence. He's trapped in there with his "cellmate" (the significant other) until his sentence has ended. The "period after every sentence" bit is saying that, after he's out, there's nothing left for him to do or say. He's not looking back.

I dig it. It's not a revolutionary song, but it's a fun, enjoyable listen. The chorus is so much better than the lyrics led me to think it would be. Chester really nailed the delivery of it, and those harmonies are A+. Stormzy's verse is definitely the weak spot for me. It's such a jarring shift in style that doesn't really work for me. For me, Battle Symphony > Good Goodbye > Heavy

I actually like the chorus far more than I thought I would. Chester's delivery elevates it quite a bit. I dig Mike and Pusha's verses, but I just can't get behind Stormzy's. His voice is just really grating IMO

The verses really save this song. One of Mike's better verses from the past few albums, and I'm hyped for Pusha and Stormzy on this one. The chorus, though. Definitely my least favorite chorus of the three songs released so far.

I really, really like the song. Chester sounds a lot better on this compared to Heavy, where he was easily outshined by Kiiara. The little synth/vocal loop is pretty interesting, and I LOVE the strings that show up in the stripped down chorus after the bridge. Really nice touch there.

The band has kept the music video for 'Heavy' under wraps for the last few months, but the video is finally here! Linkin Park & Kiiara's music video for the first single from the band's seventh album One More Light is out now! Linkin Park has been working on this video for a little over a month at this point. Filming first allegedly started back in the beginning of February - we learned about it just as we learned about Kiiara featuring on the single! The original description of the ad looking for actors described the roles as "interesting characters meet in a therapy session." The filming took place on February 6 and 7, in partnership with Mercedes-AMG, who also sponsored the band's China tour in 2015. On top of that filming, the band was also filmed performing at The Whisky for some promo shots for Mercedes-AMG's 50-year anniversary. While not the music video, it is also worth noting that the lyric video (directed by Aaron Himes) for 'Heavy' has surpassed 14 and a half million views since it was uploaded on February 16 - that's pretty damn impressive! 'Heavy' is doing incredibly well on the charts, all things considered, and hopefully this music video will give the song another push to help it keep going. What are your thoughts on the 'Heavy' music video? It's the first music video we've seen since 'Darker Than Blood' in 2015, and the first solely Linkin Park music video since 2014. I think it was less of a "fuck you" to the people who got into them back with Hybrid Theory and more of a "fuck you" to people who expect nothing but Hybrid Theory over and over again.

Chester's tonality is definitely a bit different on the live version. He has less of that "about to cry" thing going on in the live one and just kind of sings it instead. His voice still has sort of a cracking sound (not like puberty cracking, more emotional), but it's toned down a lot.
