Blink with Matt is so much better than Blink with Tom IMO, and I say that as someone whose favorite album from Blink is the Untitled record, which has Tom's fingerprints all over it. Skiba is just a stronger vocalist than Tom ever was.

Pusha is comparing the relationship to a jail sentence. He's trapped in there with his "cellmate" (the significant other) until his sentence has ended. The "period after every sentence" bit is saying that, after he's out, there's nothing left for him to do or say. He's not looking back.

I dig it. It's not a revolutionary song, but it's a fun, enjoyable listen. The chorus is so much better than the lyrics led me to think it would be. Chester really nailed the delivery of it, and those harmonies are A+. Stormzy's verse is definitely the weak spot for me. It's such a jarring shift in style that doesn't really work for me. For me, Battle Symphony > Good Goodbye > Heavy

I actually like the chorus far more than I thought I would. Chester's delivery elevates it quite a bit. I dig Mike and Pusha's verses, but I just can't get behind Stormzy's. His voice is just really grating IMO

The verses really save this song. One of Mike's better verses from the past few albums, and I'm hyped for Pusha and Stormzy on this one. The chorus, though. Definitely my least favorite chorus of the three songs released so far.

A version of One More Light (the album) in its stripped down, demo form would be great IMO.
