  1. I've corrected your thread title from 'tapper' to 'taper'.
  2. It's not. Trust us. We know. And I second Joe's post, Astat. There's really no need. If people piss you off that much, you might want to look into another band's community. This one ain't changing anytime soon and most of us are used to it by now. Thread closed. The original post has been answered sufficiently.
  3. Kinda nice that we get some DBS early! Oh no. You mentioned canceled shows being made up. Someone call the wambulence before Combalex posts about the unfairness that is LP not playing in Sweden.
  4. As in not every time. Pretty much.
  5. It's fairly standard for a single release, yes, but not for LP. Previously, they've generally included live tracks as the 2nd/3rd tracks on singles, not instrumentals or a capella tracks.
  6. Makes sense, considering we'll get somewhat similar (at least instrumentals) from the score soundtrack.
  7. Can you be more specific? I've seen you make this claim previously... If you feel your posts are being deleted without merit, please PM one of the mods or admin, don't make off topic posts in news threads. Thanks.
  8. And for hardcore fans, it's SO 2001.
  9. Unfortunately, it was uploaded some time ago and I believe the torrent was inactive for long enough that it was deleted from demonoid.
  10. CDs are meant to be loved (PLAYED), not sealed away and never heard!
  11. Don't forget their post-Chester work done under the name 'Waterface'.
  12. Quite simply put, I think you're out of line on this one. There is a VERY thin line this site treads upon, as I'm pretty sure WB and it's representatives would have no qualms whatsoever about shutting it down the second we put anything up that appears to be an official release. Don't think they're watching? You'd be surprised. You said it yourself: Commercially released materials, no matter the quality, source, content, etc should not be allowed here. Do I truly believe that? No. Download that shit, as Mike said years ago. But I won't cross that line here out of respect for Mark and all he's achieved and I'm surely not going to gamble on his part by passing stuff on like that here. And, if you're going to flip script over the use of a word - which was likely "banned" as a joke and forgotten to be removed from the filter - then you've completely lost your sense of humor.
  13. They let many get a free preview of the full track (and subsequently download it). Now that it's up on iTunes, I think they've got a right to start selling it. Just be glad a lot of people probably got it for free when they did.
  14. Unfortunately, it seems the original uploader removed the fileset. Hopefully, someone else can upload it again.
  15. You've not been in the LPLive IRC channel nor have you gotten the IMs some staff members have gotten asking about leaks.
  16. Many LPLive members have been asking about possible leaks of the New Divide, wondering if we'll be providing links, allowing people to post links, share the track, etc on the site or in the forums. Our answer is simple and will not change: No. Our rules, as revised and posted in April, clearly state the following: 6. Do not post links to officially released media files or ask others to post such links. This includes ANY AND ALL officially-released material via CD, DVD, LPU/LPST/FMM/FMST, iTunes, Amazon, etc. Exclusion from this rule are songs performed live, DSPs, demos, etc. that have not been officially released on any commercial CD/DVD, or any excerpts of songs made available to the public on official websites, such as linkinpark.com, mikeshinoda.com, MySpace, etc. Failure to comply will result in appropriate action taken by the staff. As a result of this reminder, LPLive staff will be reacting swiftly against anyone who may break the above rule. We will therefore immediately suspend and/or ban those users who break this rule. Links are not to be posted. Multiple infractions will result in a permanent ban. If you want to share the song, please do it via PM or other means rather than posting links on the forums. Thanks!
  17. No. Official tracks are not allowed to be distributed per the forum rules.
  18. iTunes > Burn to CD > rip CD to mp3 At least that's how we used to do it back in the old days.
  19. Send me the money, I'll buy it for you and send it to you? (Kidding, of course...)
  20. That... We can't stop you from doing. As far as encouraging more purchases? Well, let's not go crazy or anything. Many would much rather rip a lower quality version from YT than pay the 99 cents on iTunes for it.
  21. Agreed. I can tell you that the staff have already discussed this before and we won't allow people to post links to official tracks *by anyone* on this site. I would therefore assume that this extends to the links in peoples signatures. It's a very thin line we walk on this site and the less we can do to bring attention to ourselves in the eyes of LP, their management and/or label, the better.
  22. Thanks, but maybe I'm missing something. The site looks like that now, so it may have been changed over in the time it took you to post this information.
