  1. Many of the changes forum users will notice have already taken place. The download and request forums have been updated, old threads removed/merged/deleted as needed. The remainder of the changes will have to do with several layers of forum rules. More will come with that at a later date.
  2. As you guys can see, the immediate thing we're working on are the downloads and requests. We're still working through it and it may take some time, but our ultimate goal is to make it a bit more user friendly and easier to moderate correctly. Firstly, all audio and video download offers or requests should be made in the proper forum. Secondly, we ask that people to stick with certain thread naming conventions as much as possible, to help both staff and other users identify threads faster. For instance, if I were looking for the Camden 2008 audio, my thread title would look like this: [REQ] 2008-07-19 Camden, NJ (FLAC) The first post should further identify the show, giving as much information as possible if multiple sources exist. ----------------------------------------------------- If I were offering the same show for people to download, the thread title would look like this: [DL] 2008-07-19 Camden, NJ (FLAC) Again, the first post should further identify the show, giving as much information as possible if multiple sources exist, especially if this is a brand new source circulating for the first time. ----------------------------------------------------- In your thread title, please identify the format of the audio or video you're requesting or uploading including but not limited to the following:FLAC, SHN, WAV, MP3, DVD, DVDRip, MPEG/AVI, Divx, MP4, etc. ----------------------------------------------------- If you're unsure what sources or formats exist for a particular show, SHAME ON YOU! LPLive is a liveguide and we strive to have as much information as possible on all known sources for these shows. Please do some research in the appropriate show page before posting threads requesting or offering downloads. If you think you've found a new source, the staff and moderators of this site will be glad to lend a hand in identifying audio or video sources.
  3. I MAY (and I stress that word) be in a situation which would bring me to have to sell mine at some point. Feel free to add me on AIM or MSN and I'll keep you in mind if that day comes.
  4. The picture of the flyer was well known, going back to years ago on the LPU. It was posted in the official pics section. As for the setlist and the date of the show listed above, no one from the band or it's representatives has ever confirmed the above setlist. This information has circulated for years, in fact, and there's been little to no evidence of it's validity other than a few random claims from time to time on LP related message boards. Among the claims is that a VHS copy of the show was sold on eBay some years ago for a fairly hefty sum. To my knowledge, neither the seller nor the buyer has ever come forward, even anonymously to provide any information about the tape. Lastly, we've got to take any information posted on any fan site with a grain of salt. I'm not trying to put any fan sites down (as this is a fan site as well), but posting information such as the above without credible evidence or a disclaimer stating it to be rumor is a bit reckless on their part. It's the equivalent of someone updating a wikipedia page - until it's substantiated, it shouldn't be used as a reference.
  5. Moving this one from the Newswire, will likely be closed unless the information can be verified elsewhere.
  6. Further along to Gator's post... In the Philly area, there happens to be a relatively new rock station at 104.5FM. I've heard them disclose several pieces of LP-related news over the last few months that haven't been confirmed nor have any of them ever happened. This goes for several other bands too. That said, if it happened to be WMMR, this rumor might have a little more weight to it. They normally don't go about reporting things that aren't true.
  7. Excellent. Now I don't feel so bad for not having purchased the DVD yet.
  8. Think they got hooked on some Greek food and just really wanted to go back?
  9. Maybe the band felt like they never finished up the touring cycle due to Chester's back injury last year? Or they could need a break from writing the album? Or they just like fucking with us? Yeah, I think that's it.
  10. Quite rare... But there have been a handful sold over the years on eBay. At that price, I'd probably consider selling off one of mine.
  11. Just noticed this part... Please tell me you've washed it since then. It's been 7+ years and would stink by now.
  12. At your age, you wouldn't have been allowed to attend. They don't let toddlers in to mosh.
  13. To be added: http://lplive.net/shows/20030317.php Source 2: Video - PROSHOT (MTV2) Transfer: TV > Standalone? > DVD Taper: Unknown Time: 34 mins Format: DVD M / 1.73 GB Comments: PAL format Unknown PAL (European/UK) broadcast. Have a sample if needed. Fairly high quality recording, nearly 100% certain it's not VCD sourced like some others I've seen. A nice alternative to the MTV Japan broadcast recording. As for this, the pure fact of the matter is that there are now 2 versions circulating and it needs to be addressed. LPLive is basically THE source people can go to in order to get info about these recordings, in case you didn't know. And as for us having 'sorted this', it's in the past. But the reality is that I chose to go to the taper after you seemingly dropped off the face of the earth. Once you got internet access back, you offered to send me the show after I had gotten it from the taper in order to complete whatever trade we had going at the time. Wasn't worth it for you to send to me at that point.
  14. The pure fact of the matter is that it could have been avoided. Ana said so herself on her site (from 12/31/2008): All fan sites have a responsibility to make sure that what they're doing is both legal and allowed. It's up to the owners and administrators to make sure all of their i's are dotted and t's crossed before hosting anything these days and if they receive requests to remove files, they should take them quite seriously.
  15. It's not that the tape of Nashville that I received was out of sync - It's literally the raw demuxed video and audio files the taper used to create the DVDs he sent to Maza. I'm not sure one can be considered superior to the other. The biggest difference between the two is that the taper added chapter points to the other DVDs. Having been given the raw files, I removed some of the blue screen/empty video from the beginning and end of both discs but neglected to add true chapter points or menus when I authored mine. However, it still needs to be noted that 2 versions are circulating, I think. I had to go directly to the taper to obtain it. Maza fell off the face of the earth at the time when his ISP cut him off for excessive downloading...
  16. One MILLION dollars? Evil>
  17. *ahem* Could say the same thing about my board.
  18. I need to verify it's authenticity first-hand?
  19. The ground is cold here..............
  20. I also collect known fakes.
  21. I should have told you the truth. It's fake. You can just send it to me instead.
  22. http://lplive.net/shows/20070609.php Needs to have the following updates (in bold): Source 4: Video - AUD (Panasonic GS11 + Sony ECM719) (Left Angle) Taper: Gig Addiction Time: 82 mins Format: DVD M / 3.57 GB Comments: Includes in-crowd bottle fight prior to LP taking the stage. Source and taper info taken from the DVD menu.
  23. We get it. LP doesn't like Sweden. It's one of the world's greatest atrocities. Everyone should boo them the next time they play Sweden, right? Oh, wait. They'll just cancel the show instead. (See? I saved you a joke.) Personal favorites (among my most played recordings: Tokyo 10/25/2003 Mountain View 04 Camden 08
  24. Keep an eye on dime, I'll upload it sometime this weekend.
  25. Guys... Just a few tips for these requests: 1) Make sure there's a recording from that particular show known and circulating. 2) Try to keep the requests to true audio sources rather than audio ripped from video. 3) If you know a show has been uploaded elsewhere (another site/rapidshare/megaupload/etc) that someone else has requested, please feel free to post the link. As a courtesy to the original poster, please quote their post and/or PM them the link directly. 4) There are likely only a handful of people who will fill most of the requests. Please be patient.
