  1. Those cassettes were these (and are not the Xero tape): http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=150335978689 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=150333740774 THIS is the Xero tape: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v638/nkr...LP/DSCF0045.jpg
  2. We're merging all of the Chester/Twitter topics. Please refrain from making a new topic if it's in regards to something Chester says there.
  3. Want a HQ recording? Go make one the next time LP comes to your area. I can tell you from first hand experience that it's not the easiest thing in the world to do and doing so becomes even more of a challenge at a festival show such as Rock am Ring. Linkin Park didn't sell DSPs for this show, there was no live webcast nor was the whole set broadcast on TV like many of the other artists who performed at Rock am Ring, so this is very likely the only complete recording from this show that will ever surface. And if by HQ you're only referring to official DSPs, then this really isn't the place for you - LPLive is dedicated to cataloging all sources, no matter the quality. Up until the band started to sell the recordings of shows for PR 07, audience sourced audio and videos outnumbered officially released live recordings by a very wide margin.
  4. Should be pretty easy for some stuff, Serg... But there are many versions of shows circulating in some cases. And filesizes would have to be backed up/verified via ffp/md5 files, I think, just so that sources are confirmed as the same amongst all of us. Great idea! **EDIT** Serg, I just got the spreadsheet, looks good. But... I think all of those that have been circulated via torrent sites or here on LPLive recently really shouldn't be on the list. Unless there was a massive problem, we all got the same version of my Bamboozle recording, Jonas' Berlin 07, Mark's Charlotte 08, etc. It's the uncirculated stuff that seems to be the issue as well as anything that may have been edited and reuploaded. I know Mark did a retrack on Hartford 07. I myself retracked and EQ'd MV 04 but haven't circulated it at all.
  5. Not all audience recordings are perfect. We've got to take what we can get.
  6. Ryu said that they're planning on pressing CDs, but my fear is that people like... well, us... will be outbidding each other and driving up the price if one happens to pop up on eBay. I'm fairly certain that a limited pressing of the CDs will have no problem selling out in pretty short order, mostly due to the vultures who will jump in and try to make a profit off of the secondary market on eBay.
  7. Some of us would like an actual CD though... Took me awhile to track down the other two, I'd like to have the trilogy.
  8. I'm sure they'll be uploaded. Probably got skipped by accident.
  9. Nice way to bring us back on topic.
  10. True. However, unless there's an obvious exception that I'm missing, all of those other tracks were officially released and can be categorized within LP's discography. This is the first one that I can think of that's likely to be a web release only.
  11. I'm pretty sure the stuff Mike used for it was old seeds or quickly recorded, but most people will accept it as LP without a thought. I'm more inclined to list it as a demo but not really an LP demo. It's kind of a unique track when you try to categorize it.
  12. What, you don't count Bubbles as LP material? *looks around* Me either. Lockjaw is iffy to me. I'd say it counts, but it's certainly debatable.
  13. You've got actors paired with computer generated versions of cultural icons. Most actors are going to fail a bit, no matter how good their performance was because of the large, shiny metal robots on the screen with them.
  14. He makes good 'popcorn' movies - Good to sit there for a few hours for some semi-mindless entertainment with a big bowl of popcorn in front of you. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that if that's what you're looking for. But if you're looking for a movie with deep symbolism or a message, he ain't your director. Like I said in one of my previous posts, I'm hoping that the first movie suffered because he had to set up some back stories for new characters (the human ones, at least). People going into this one should have already seen the previous one, so this one might see some improvement.
  15. I think we can guess that it won't be an instrumental. Sounds like this could be used as the primary single for the film (promo discs, radio play, use in trailers, etc). We can hope to get an instrumental if the song on the soundtrack is used for the score of the film, even if it's only a partial instrumental.
  16. http://lplive.net/about.php Needs to be fixed: copyright 2007-2009 LPLive.net | Edited by: shadowfax1007 & SergSlim | Hosting generously provided by: Sotrix As it shows at the bottom of the menu and not the bottom of the page itself. Picky, I know. But I noticed it.
  17. Definitely looking forward to the movie a bit more now, but mostly out of interest for LP's part. As a fan of the original cartoons, I can't say I'd rate the first one as a good movie. Depends on what they do with this one (or subsequent sequels) to see if I change my opinion on that.

    Slow News

*OFF TOPIC* Been trying to contact you for awhile regarding something we'd discussed ages back... That is, if you're the same Cyro I remember. Old age tends to cloud my memory.

Not sure. I'm not even sure that there has ever been a need/request for one. Julien-K was added as a result of Chester's involvement with them and several staff members own want/need for a list of shows.

    Slow News

Mark - There should be absolutely ZERO reason for you not to post Julien-K stuff. Those that visit LPLive may be unaware, but if they look at the right hand side of the home page at the menu, there are links to pages dedicated solely to LP-related acts, including JK. This isn't something new and those complaining should really take themselves elsewhere for LP stuff... But I don't know where exactly that'd be as ABSOLUTELY NO ONE can post only LP news as there isn't any on most days. If we really wanted to get technical about it, you should only post news about shows, right? Because it's LPLive not LPNews or LPIsTakingTheirSweetAssTimeMakingAnotherAlbum. LPLive continues to keep people interested at a time when there's nothing going on. I'd say you're doing things right just the way they are. 2 cents> Happy Birthday, Adam!
  21. Only a few differences have been noted: 1) Initial scratch doesn't have the same echo effect as the final track. 2) Guitar harmony on the chorus is slightly different. 3) Bass track is louder than in the final track. Credit the above info from Astat, as I'm sure he's the one who pointed them out to me which is the only reason I know them.
  22. Other LP sites have taken it upon themselves to post Julien-K/SOB/etc related news in the past, including LPTimes which has several very recent posts about Julien-K. Maybe we should just start making up stuff about LP? Oh! Or, we could post fake interviews with the band. You know... for the sake of keeping everything strictly limited to LP as no one who posts on or reads this site has any other interests in music whatsoever.
  23. Many people are still unaware of many of the differences between a BD release and a standard DVD. or There are those that hoped that this would also include the CD.
