While this is strictly not Linkin Park related, all music fans are feeling loss with the death of Michael Jackson at the age of 50 earlier today in Los Angeles, CA due to cardiac arrest. Whether you were a fan or not, his musical career spanned from the 1960s through present day and his influence can still be felt when it comes to music, choreography, production, videos and many other facets of the industry. Agreed. It's a shame not a lot of people got these... they really should have given these out directly at the shows instead of having to go to Champs to get them.

That's not exactly a simple one is it? The staff have the right to remove any link at any time for any reason when it comes to media if it violates the rules. So if it's brought to our attention that a link leads to a download (even one to YouTube), then I'd have to say it would be against the rules. In general, YouTube links themselves are fair game, IMO. As long as it doesn't violate YouTube's terms of use, there's not much we can do about that.

I'm pretty sure the single is all over torrent sites by now. And LPLive has been dedicated to sharing from the beginning, we just choose to follow rules that keep us from being shut down.

Instrumentals and acapellas are ok as long as they aren't officially released. As these come from the CD single, these will not be allowed to be posted here. Just remember - we can't go back and undo what we've done or allowed in the past since the rules were updated. Just because we allow something today doesn't mean we'll allow the same tomorrow.

It's not going to get any cheaper to get out there. Best to pull the trigger and decide ASAP.

Shouldn't take too long to create a page, but good luck filling in the missing information. I started to look into this years ago based on the stuff crewdy had on FTG but decided against it as it made little sense - there'd never be any updates to it and the time necessary to fill in all of the missing stuff wasn't justified.

As staff, I could advise you that your signature is unnecessarily large and have you bring it to a manageable size. As a fellow LPL member, I can also remind you of the reason you changed your name here on the boards. So do we want to start throwing around jokes about people's ages?

Yes and no. Yes, it happens for thousands of people each year, but as we routinely post birthday wishes to staff, we felt it was appropriate to post this here. You know, because it is Mark's site and all.

Updated Media Rules for the forum in all appropriate threads. We were advised that at least one member of Grey Daze was unhappy that we would allow Grey Daze tracks to be posted and I have now confirmed with a 2nd member that these tracks should not be allowed here. I've got the appropriate info via email and will forward to Mark and Jonas for their records.
