  1. If it's just Chester performing at this, there's really no reason he can't make it back from Paris for it. Moving all of DBS and their gear from Paris to L.A. overnight would be another story.
  2. Umm...last time I checked, watching a live video vs. going to an actual live show doesn't make the version of the song performed magically change to something different. And yeah, I'll go see them live, no problem. My family's living on unemployment checks and food stamps, we have one working car to share between 3 people, and the nearest to where I live that DBS has played is 375 miles away. No big deal, I'll get right on that! - Sounds like the studio version to me. Doing a 4-count on the drums before a song isn't a "new intro," it tells the rest of the band when to start. And those screams Chester does after the guitar solo aren't something he does at every show. That doesn't make it a "different version" any more than Brad not playing guitar on the In the End bridge sometimes makes that a "different version" of that song. Edit those 4 screams and the little drum count-in into the studio version of the song, and it'd be exactly the same thing. Does anybody really even do that anymore? I can't recall the last time I saw a band play acoustic there, but then again, I don't usually watch the full webcasts.
  3. They've been around a lot longer than LP has, they've had 5 consecutive #1 albums, all 7 of their studio albums are certified at least Platinum in the U.S. (5 are multi-platinum). They also have 9 live albums, 6 of which are at least Gold, so I'd say it's pretty reasonable to assume they've sold more albums.
  4. KROQ's webcasts are "high quality?" Even in the most broad sense of the phrase, this is still news to me. KROQ's webcasts are terrible, they seriously haven't made any noticeable improvements in their webcast quality over the past 10 years. BTW, go watch some recent live videos - They've been playing Morning After exactly the same as it is on the studio version. Because we all obviously know how much time DBS will be given to play at a festival show that they won't be headlining.

    DBS tabs

Just put up tabs for Let Down on my 4shared, also fixed a couple errors in my Fire and Crawl Back In tabs, so if you downloaded those previously, you might want to download the updated versions now. I'm officially halfway done now, I have 6 songs from the album done, plus Morning After. I still need to do Give Me Your Name, Condemned, Into You, End of the World, Walking in Circles, and In the Darkness, and I'll probably do a tab for the Underworld Evolution remix of Morning After at some point.
  6. I actually don't like how this performance was mixed...the drums and vocals sound good, but the guitars are pretty much nonexistant except for the solos. There isn't that "big punch" when the chorus hits like there should be.
  7. Obviously, the whole performance was one giant medley.
  8. I found this idea completely idiotic from day 1, let alone almost 3 years later. A robot would not have known about Drum Song.
  9. Cool. They still need to confirm Buzz Festivus, right?
  10. Are you crazy? Mike TOTALLY changed his look when he toured with Fort Minor. Changed his facial hair, straightened the bills on all his hats, started wearing big puffed-out coats and baggier pants, started cleaning his fancy sneakers with a toothbrush all the time...Mike made every effort to look more "gangsta" as soon as he started doing promo work for Fort Minor, and stopped as soon as he switched back to LP. Summer Sonic 2006 was the last time we saw him with that look, and it was the last 2 shows for Fort Minor. Coincidence? Hardly.
  11. I honestly don't see anything substantial happening with FM in the future (at least as far as live performances are concerned), because Tak seems to have totally ditched Ryu and Mike. I don't think he even talks to either of them anymore.
  12. After watching this video a few times, I have to say that this is the ending the album version should've had, not that crappy repeat/fade-out ending.
  13. Bumping this just to inform people that as of today, WMG is still removing videos that contain their music, despite the new licensing agreement claiming that it supports "user-generated videos containing WMG content." Fuck them. I just love how industry giants can get away with things such as blatant breach of contract.
  14. The site itself isn't actually vandalized in any way, all the content is still there. It's just been injected with a bunch of malware (popups, trojans, and whatnot). It comes up as a dangerous site when you try to visit it on Firefox, assuming you haven't changed your default security settings. Most hackers are seriously just bored teenagers who like to see what they can get away with. Look up EvilZone, for instance. It's seriously on par with 4chan as far as being a total cesspool full of examples of all the undesirable stuff on the Internet, the only difference is everybody on there is a hacker.
  15. KROQ sponsors a ton of shows that don't get webcasted. Weenie Roast and Almost Acoustic Xmas are the only 2 ones that happen regularly, but KROQ sponsors a ton of other shows.
  16. Chester in 2005: Can we please stop the stupid complaining about the eyeliner now? You're all about 4 years late on that one.
  17. lol @ anybody who actually expected MTV to broadcast the whole show.
  18. Most of the information in that Wikipedia article is totally correct. And chart positions are based purely on album sales...
  19. Maybe it's just the fact that I think they could've picked a better song to end the album with, but this song really hasn't grown on me at all. It's not my least favorite by far, but I'd probably put it in the bottom 1/3rd of the album. It's kind of...forgettable.

    DBS tabs

I've been experimenting with Guitar Pro tabs a bit lately, I've done them for Crawl Back In and Inside of Me (Crawl Back In is posted on Ultimate-Guitar, Inside of Me is awaiting approval). Right now they're pretty much just transcriptions of my text tabs since I don't know any of the bass/keyboard/drum parts, but being able to play back your work is always a plus.
  21. Hunger Strike and Crawling are both from Burgettstown. There was supposed to be a joint LP/Chris Cornell Crawling/Hunger Strike radio single, and that's the show they were going to use for it (which is also why HHH is censored even on the DSP download, it was edited for radio). The single wound up not happening, so they used SFTU as another way of releasing them. We still don't know where My December is from. I keep meaning to do A/B comparisons with all the DSPs but I haven't gotten around to it.
  22. "Hybrid Theory...coming to you...in full, stereophonic sound..." "YOU CANNOT FUCK WITH THIS BAND!" Epic.
  23. *facepalm* Where the hell have you been the last few weeks? This is pretty much the only thing everybody's been talking about.
  24. I'm pretty sure this is the NYC Bitch Committee source that we've known about since pretty much the day after the show. Source info for recent shows is always slow to be uploaded because it takes some time to figure it all out.

    DBS tabs

Too Late tabs are up now. I'm either going to do Let Down or Walking in Circles next, I haven't decided.
