They can always work Rob's drum solo into another song if they need to, but I seriously doubt BIO is going anywhere. It's one of the few songs that people will actually chant for. Cuyahoga Falls '07, people on the lawn literally chanted "BLEED IT OUT! BLEED IT OUT!" through the entire encore break.

The HT-related demos will probably be ones we've heard before, and I wouldn't be surprised if one of the unused Transformers 2 songs winds up on there as the new track. Also, I just love revisionist history. How many times have members of the band said that they don't keep demos and delete everything that doesn't get used, particularly when talking about Meteora? Just goes to show that Warner even has control over what the band says. I'm almost more excited for the vinyl than the CD.

In the Myspace Music Feed interview, there's a really brief flash of a lyrics sheet with unused lyrics on it, or at least I don't recall them being in any of the songs on the album (screenshot is attached to this post): Do you believe in life after death Without any pain or disease Do you believe that faith is a test The greatest truth can't be seen Do you believe those who suffer are blessed They know the true meaning of life

The MTM tour edition is a hell of a lot more easy to find than any CD single is.

They never replaced "bullshit" with "madness" on any version of High Voltage. The original HTEP version of the song is the only one that has "madness" in it, which is the original version of that lyric - the entire HTEP is uncensored, including "shit" being said elsewhere in the same version of that song. The 2 remixes are the censored versions, and those just blank out both instances of "shit."

What the hell kind of question is that? FFS. -
Hmm...maybe an Out of Ashes "tour edition" will be released at a later date. It happened with both Meteora and MTM...and really HT even, with the 2-disc special edition.

I honestly think the odd-numbered CDs being live tracks was just a coincidence largely based on timing. LPU3 was essentially a companion piece to Live in Texas, they came out within about a week of each other. LPU5 was released in '05, at a time when the band had only made 2 live appearances in over a year and had been largely inactive due to their dispute with Warner, as well as Mike being busy with Fort Minor. LPU7 was the only one that came across as totally lazy to me.

"Guitar Duel with Brad Delson" Brad Delson I lol'd. -
Probably. That was the case with Minutes to Midnight as well, if I recall correctly.

That's pretty much what I'm guessing, a download card in the CD that works like the Best Buy/Walmart editions of Minutes to Midnight did. It might be exclusive to certain retailers like that as well.

Actually, one of the interviews did say that, something to the effect of, "Bennington also plans on releasing acoustic versions of several songs and a cover of The Misfits' "20 Eyes" as downloadable content with the purchase of the album." Edit: Found it: http://www.billboard.com/news/linkin-park-...004014067.story "The fledgling group will also offer fans some bonus material, including a cover of the Misfits' "20 Eyes" and acoustic renditions of the "Out of Ashes" songs, some of which will be available for download with the purchase of the album." That definitely indicates that the acoustic versions will be available, somewhere, somehow. 20 Eyes may just be referring to live performances.

It was just the pre-show music played over the PA at a bunch of shows in 2004, not an "intro" at all, just a reoccuring thing. Quite a few bands have specific songs that are played over the PA prior to them taking the stage. Didn't connect to the song itself in any way, so it doesn't count, it's just an interlude. Also, the "wind sound" is actually there on the studio version in several spots, it's just more obvious on the live version. Same situation as Be Yourself/And One. Added. CFTI was remixed entirely when it was performed in '07, I don't think it really fits in this topic. It's not like Wake 2.0, where it was just a new intro part followed by the rest of the song being the same. Joe's scratch solo spot was after My December in 2002, but the ending of the song itself wasn't different other than it not fading out like the studio version does, obviously. Not really a different intro/outro though. I'm not counting changes in the middle of songs, i.e. I didn't include the Reanimation bridge to One Step Closer. I listed both of those. The BTH/Numb transition is listed under BTH. Nope.

I just think if Chester ever had any thought of leaving Linkin Park, the DBS album would've been out a long time ago.
-
That's just a fansite, there's no info on these tour dates on any of those bands' official websites...
-
I think the main reason he probably won't has more to do with the music - It really wouldn't make much sense for the other 5 members of Linkin Park to have to learn how to play one of Chester's songs during rehearsals when they need to be rehearsing their own material as well. Plus, as I've said before, most of the DBS songs are in standard guitar tuning, which LP doesn't use (or hasn't used to this point). The only way I see Chester doing a DBS song during an LP set is if he plays something acoustic by himself, or if he somehow finds a way to work part of a DBS song into an existing LP song. That would be a lot harder to do than putting FM verses over the POA intro though, because you have to account for melody and things like that.
-
I'm pretty sure they didn't. Ghost812 just dubbed the audio of the remix over his video recording because he thought the quality sucked.
-
The '06 live version was pretty much identical to the '09 studio version, so...why would they play anything else? Also, closing with a cover song when you're a new band and people don't know many of your songs is actually a good idea. You want to close with something that will get a good reception, and that's usually a song that people know. Once you've established yourselves, it doesn't matter, but the general public has likely only heard 1 to 4 songs from the album at this point. Crawl Back In is the only other song that makes sense for them to close a DBS headlining show with right now, but they've obviously decided that it's better as an opener.

http://www.lplive.net/shows/20090811.php - There They Go was over the POA outro, not A Place for My Head. Fixed. Thanks!
-
K then, if it's not the lyrics, why do you hate a song with amazing slide guitar work, a great chord progression and melody, and some of the best vocal harmonies on the record?
-
I'm declaring OOA the clear winner already. Half the songs on TRT didn't do anything for me after the first 2-3 listens. In fact, there are only like 4 songs on that album that I even listen to anymore. Compared to OOA, I've been playing it constantly the past couple days, and the only songs I'm remotely not feeling are Crawl Back In and Inside of Me. And even then, I only skip CBI, and that's just because it's the first single and I've already heard it a million times. I will say TRT is mixed a lot better, though.
-
I sure hope so. Otherwise, I'm bracing myself for another West Coast fail like Jimmy Kimmel 2007. *Waits for the SoCal/other West Coast people to come in and get all butt hurt about it*
-
^ I believe they're mixed differently, as the CBI single states that the live songs were mixed by Fu, while the DSPs are mixed by Pooch and Dylan.
