  1. That's the Hello Kitty guitar he played on From the Inside at Weenie Roast in 2007. I also spy his orange PRS, a black Les Paul, and a white Strat.
  2. Already addressed this:
  3. http://keyboards-midi.musiciansfriend.com/...cer-?sku=700344 I believe this is the cheapest product in the MPC line.
  4. Hmm...Japan could actually have wound up being the "sixth strings song," now that I think about it. The clip of Japan on the DVD is in such an early form that it'll probably have almost no resemblence to the final version. The short clip of 6SS that we also have on the DVD sounds like it's the very end of the song. Could be the same song, but no way of knowing until we get it.
  5. MPCs were used for a lot of the sample-based stuff on Hybrid Theory and Meteora actually, they just moved away from that somewhat on Minutes to Midnight. I remember Mike mentioning once that the majority of My December was written/recorded on an MPC.
  6. My assumption with And One has always been that they re-wrote it sometime between the EP and the first album (like they did with Carousel and Part of Me), they just may not have recorded a demo of it in that form.
  7. So now that this is confirmed, my preliminary thoughts... A-Six: I just hope this isn't essentially the same thing as A.06 with an extra repeat of the riff or something like that, and that there's something substantially different about it. It could be really cool, or it could be the least noteworthy track on the CD. Faint: 2 things about this one. I wonder if it has live strings on it? Mike mentioned in the From the Inside book that David Campbell did strings for both BTH and Faint, but we know that the live strings only wound up being used on BTH on the album. And if not, I wonder if it's the original half-time version (doubtful, since they switched to the full-speed version very early on, but you never know)? Sad: I just hope it's substantially different from the other 4 By Myself demos we already have. I'm guessing it will be, just based on the different name, and chronologically, it really only makes sense for this to be an earlier version of the song than Super Xero. Fear: Hopefully it's the version with Mike on lead vocals. Glad we're finally getting this. Figure.09: I wonder which demo it is, the first version with rap verses (but with different lyrics) heard on LPTV, or the second version with singing verses? Stick And Move: Obviously this will have Chester on vocals. It'll be interesting to see how similar it is to both the Xero version and the final version of Runaway. Across the Line: Hopefully it's the infamous "sixth strings song." But even if it isn't, it makes one less MTM b-side that we don't have. Drawing: Don't really have any big questions about this one, since we pretty much know what it is already. Just glad that we finally get to hear it. Drum Song: Same thing I said about Fear. And in general, I really hope this is just the tip of the iceberg and we'll see more stuff like this released in the future (we all know there's plenty more demos where these came from), but I'm sure Warner will try to hang on to as much as they can for the retrospective box set that'll probably be released whenever LP calls it quits.
  8. Have fun being wrong as usual. In regards to... 2) "Sad" may have been an even earlier version of By Myself than any of the existing demos of it, and they could've changed it to Super Xero later. 3) Since this would be a later version of Stick N' Move than the one on the Xero demo, it may have more similarities to Runaway than just the riff. And One Step Closer was written because they were pissed off that they were having trouble writing Runaway, meaning the final album version of Runaway. They could've spent 4 years trying to transform it from Stick N' Move into Runaway before they wrote OSC, for all we know. 4) Linkin Park refers to pretty much any non-album song as a "demo." They labeled Step Up as a demo on the In the End single, they labeled Dedicated as a demo on LPU 2.0. I'm 90% sure this is legit. CD Japan was one of the first sources of the real Minutes to Midnight tracklisting, and they've been a source of leaked tracklistings for numerous albums. As far as I'm aware, they've never posted false information.
  9. Mike's confusing message board posts are better. Nice try though. *pats on the back*
  10. Sad and Stick N Move won't be a "waste of space." It is 100% confirmed that this CD has no demos on it that we already have. Also, Drawing isn't a "long ass instrumental." It's approximately two minutes long. The interview that said it was ten minutes misquoted Mike. I would think so. It's confirmed that there are "Chester versions" of all the Xero songs. Chester joined the band in the spring of 1998. He sent them his audition tape on his birthday, which is in March. There are a few things about this tracklisting that I find suspicious, and a few things that fit in with what we already knew about it - Adam said that only one of the songs was one that we already had a demo of (but was still a different demo than what we have), and that's the case here. The whole "no new demo titles" argument against it being real makes no sense - Faint and Figure.09 WERE working titles, there wouldn't be any different demo titles for those songs. A.06 is an instrumental (and obviously another working title), no need for it to have any other names. I find the long version of A.06 odd, as like many other people, I don't see why there would even be a longer version in the first place. And I also find it odd that the new song is in the middle of the tracklisting, I would've assumed it'd be either the first or last song on the disc.
  11. ...Where the HELL in my post did I compare Oasis to LP?
  12. That's a site to vote for the top 5 bands you want to see at Rock in Rio 2010, it doesn't mean LP (or any of the other bands on that page) are officially confirmed to be playing there. You really only have to look at some of the other bands on there to figure that out - Oasis broke up recently, for instance.
  13. Cue the "ZOMG PARAMORE SUCKS!" comments from ignorant people who somehow equate their fans cheating on an online voting contest to the quality of the band. If that's the case, Linkin Park has "sucked" for years. Just because he took part in cheating to help LP win an online award in 2004 doesn't mean that was the last time it happened. I know for a fact that LP fans have cheated on these kind of things as recently as 2007, possibly even last year. Like I already said, any band who wins one of these online awards does so because their fans out-cheated everybody else.
  14. 1) "acoustic version - full not like the google concert thing lol" - Uhh, the one on Google is full, so I don't get what you mean by that. 2) A .VOB is a type of video file...
  15. These kind of voting things are so fucking stupid. All it EVER comes down to is whose fans can out-cheat everyone else's fans. LP fans have always been just as guilty as using bots, hacks, glitches, etc. on these type of voting things as every other band's fans. Which is precisely why I have never, and will never, take part in any of them. They're one of the dumbest things on the entire Internet, IMO.

    LPU9 CD

I don't see why they would, their track record of playing LPU-exclusive tracks is...well, pretty much zero. They've never played A.06 as anything other than a soundcheck song or an incomplete half-assed attempt in front of a crowd, they've never played Dedicated, Sold My Soul to Yo Mama, Announcement Service Public, any of the MMM...Cookies songs, etc...QWERTY doesn't really count because they played it before it was released as an LPU track.
  17. The "studio version" was played at a few European shows in September of 2001 (starting with Manchester), all the 2001 shows after the Family Values tour, all the Projekt Revolution 2002 shows, and all the 2004 Meteora World Tour shows. Technically speaking though, the studio version has never been played live. The studio version is a half step lower than the live version.
  18. The GLXS Dies raffle is what the Myspace post is referring to...
  19. Bumping this just to point out that this show's page hasn't been added to the liveguide yet.
  20. Did that, and it wasn't there when I replied to your post. Well sorry, I didn't realize that I had to click "Newest" to see the thumbnail for a video that isn't even fucking available yet.
  21. Uhh...no it's not.
  22. This is the first I've heard of it. And the link's been fixed.
  23. If Chester was performing with DBS at the Hollywood show, it would say DBS in the guest appearances...and this is clearly another Camp Freddy-type show, it's being run by Slash and a bunch of the guests are frequent Camp Freddy collaborators. There is no reason whatsoever for Chester to be at the Paris show without the rest of DBS, he wouldn't have a band to play with. Paris DBS show is happening, 100%.
  24. Label/management fuckup is more like it. DBS's management throughout this entire album process has been laughably pathetic. Nobody has answers for anything, and nobody, including the band members, knows what exactly is going on most of the time. As far as Chester was aware, 20 Eyes was supposed to be a bonus track on some international editions of the album, just like Morning After. Other than that, he doesn't have a clue.
