    LPU 11 Launched!

Definitely not true. If there was any validity to that, it'd be on LPL. Setlist.fm is about as accurate as Wikipedia. Also, this whole "Adam said Pictureboard is better than ATL" talk is odd, as I've heard from other people that he said the exact opposite. I've never even seen Adam say that he "has" Pictureboard himself, just that he's heard it. And quite frankly, if Pictureboard was really THAT good, why hasn't it been released on one of the past 3 LPU CDs?

    LPU 11 Launched!

I wouldn't exactly call this a Robot Boy "demo," as it sounds like it's just an alternate vocal take that they decided not to use after the rest of the song had already been completed. Instrumentally, it's identical to the album version. "Brad's Yo" was just a 30-second ringtone that was a clip from "Yo." I'm guessing they used that title just to indicate that it was one of Brad's MTM demos. The full demo title was actually "Yo (Unsolved Mysteries)," as seen on the Making of Minutes to Midnight DVD/LPTV.

    LOL. I master CD for u LP! I no real good method: .wav > 320kbps .mp3 > (mastering) > 192kbps .mp3 > CD-R > (send to CD making place) > re-rip as 192kbps .mp3 > ? > PROFIT!

    LPU 11 Launched!

Sweet. Now if only I could find out why I still don't have my LPUX package when it supposedly shipped 16 days ago... You are SORELY mistaken if you think lossless audio didn't exist (or was even "an inconvenience" to record with) in 1998. DAT recorders were introduced in like, 1987, just for starters...and no self-respecting band would knowingly RECORD to a lossy format. If it had been impossible to record digitally to a lossless format in the '90s, analog recording would have still been the predominant method of recording albums for far longer than it was.
  5. Obviously a fan remix, the edits are really obvious, especially going from the first chorus into the second verse. Judging from the drumming style, I wouldn't be surprised if this is something Reflectionist made. He likes to make LP songs more "interesting" in the drumming department.
  6. http://www.azcentral.com/thingstodo/music/...the-season.html Set was 8 songs, and included 2 Julien-K songs (Palm Spring Reset/I'll Try Not to Destroy You), as well as The Messenger. Crawl Back In was also played, so the previously posted setlist has to be wrong. The lack of info on this show doesn't surprise me in the least.
  7. You're probably thinking of this: People always seem to think that's a demo of Numb for some reason.
  8. Doubt there will be a bass player at this show. It's an acoustic performance. Wouldn't be surprised if it's just Chester/Ryan/Amir like the React Now performance in '05.
  9. Given the price of the tickets and the type of event this is, I'll be amazed if we even get a setlist from this show. Chances of a recording are practically zip - there are no clips on Youtube of Art Alexakis' set from last year.
  10. FYI, this will be an acoustic show.
  11. Nice find! World-renowned composer who did the scores for movies like Conan the Barbarian, RoboCop, and Free Willy. Nope, did a bit of digging - it's a track from the film score for No Man's Land, which came out in 1987. Largely forgotten film starring Charlie Sheen and Randy Quaid, judging from the descriptions of it, it sounds like a "classier" version of Gone in 60 Seconds (or any other action film about stealing cars, really).
  12. They're being a bit modest in calling it "unofficial," lol. They obviously got the multitracks from the band to make it, which generally is what separates an official remix from an unofficial one.
  13. Oddly enough, my comfortable range is pretty consistent with Chester's - G2-E5. I can get down as low as E2 occasionally (typically only when I've just woken up, or if I'm sick), and I can squeak out a few notes above E5, I think A5 is my absolute max, but it hurts pretty bad, haha.
  14. How many does he leave for now? The only non-interlude track I can think of where he does (that's still being played live anyway) is The Messenger.
  15. That's exactly what it is. There was a lengthy discussion on this back on the old Fort Minor messageboards, it all started when someone noticed that the symbol was also part of the Reanimation cover art and not just something found on FM-related material.
  16. He had developed a hernia that required surgery to correct.
  17. Total length of album > number of "full" tracks, as far as I'm concerned. Metallica's first four albums all had between 8 and 10 tracks on them, but they were all well over 45 minutes in length.
  18. That's the number of days they were on tour, not the number of shows they played. A lot of sources took that statistic and misquoted it as them having "played over 300 shows in 2001." When you factor in all the days in between shows where they're still on tour, a couple travel days at the beginning/end of each tour, and periods where they had a handful of days between the end of one tour and the start of the next where they probably didn't get to spend much time at home, my most conservative estimate of their touring schedule for '01 would be around 275 days, and that's with me not even knowing what their schedule for rehearsals, video shoots, etc. was, which would likely factor into that number as well.
  19. I wouldn't consider It's Goin' Down a cover because all the vocals on the original are by Mike and the FM performance is essentially just him rapping over the instrumental from the original track (Mike also wrote the majority of the song himself in the first place). I'd consider Numb/Encore a cover though since they used Jay-Z's Encore chorus for their live version of it.
  20. http://onstagemag.com/ar/performance_linki...magic/index.htm was the link to the original article, but it doesn't work anymore. LPZion reposted it though: http://lpzion.org/artykuly/wywiady/57
  21. Easy there tiger. That's the type of post I would usually make.
  22. http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?act=find...&pid=149967 Big difference (legally speaking) between rehearsals and performing. The insurance company can't really control what Chester does on his own time. If he's under doctor's orders not to perform until, say, October 31st, but the show isn't until mid-November, there's really nothing preventing him from taking part in it. I just assumed that Chester's shoulder surgery would require a long enough recovery that he'd have to cancel this appearance.
  23. Bumping this just to see if there's any additional info yet...Ryan tweeted today that he has rehearsals for both Julien-K and DBS coming up, but has it been determined if this is the DBS appearance? I figured this appearance would have to be cancelled because of Chester's surgery.
  24. It's really hard to justify voting for Hybrid Theory when it's on a list that includes albums like Pretty Hate Machine and Appetite for Destruction. Now if they were to narrow it down to the last 15 years...
