  1. Really? You don't like No More Sorrow? Leave Out all the Rest? The Little Things Give You Away? Some of their best songs. It's one of my least favourite LP albums but to say there's NOTHING of worth on it is surely a bit of an overstatement.
  2. I too was worrying about this, not so much the Crawling thing, 'cause surely they wouldn't do that, but things like skipping a verse and chorus on With You or Papercut. They have to do it all, in full. I would be angry if they didn't, and I can't imagine how angry typically angry people would become if they cheapened it in any way.
  3. This time in two weeks, it will have begun. *shudder* Very interested to see how they'll do the setlist for this after the new one's been revealed. Will we get the Blackout intro before Papercut? Will GATS start the show and they play Hybrid Theory after a few other songs, or will they kick off the album straight away? Will any songs from the album get any real extensions? Time will tell!
  4. Some thoughts on the show - Guilty All the Same is a brilliant opener, even with the tech problems at this show. With the crazy light show it’s got so much energy. Oddly, Brad’s guitar solo on GATS felt more in time than it does on record. Chester was great at this show, more powerful than a lot of more recent shows on the big choruses and mostly very good in the screamed parts. Weirdly, if anything his screams got better as the show went on. The stage design is awesome, great visuals particularly during the Blackout section and LITE. With You “Come On!” scream <3 Great crowd, the singing to the synth melody on the intro to COG brought warmth to my heart. Having said that, I’m not sure about the Recharged section being included. The whole ravey element just feels a bit out of the blue after half an hour of RAWK. The ballad medley is dull now. Just bring Iridescent back, please? Why is Brad murdering the riff of No More Sorrow as part of the Until it Breaks intro? It makes a potentially great intro sound horrible. Lost in the Echo sounds so much better with beefed up guitars. Mike saying ‘all right there Brad?” after he messed up the BIO intro was brilliant, as was the proper Dave Grohl “SING THAT CHORUS IN!" Rob’s drum solo is better than it ever has been, love the dynamics he works into it. Oh, and hurrah for double pedals. Overall a pretty damn good show. My excitement for Download is palpable.
  5. Won't be able to watch the stream tonight, but I look forward to rips of it tomorrow.
  6. Just a heads up, this guy is always very over the top in his praise of pretty much everything and I certainly wouldn't take everything from an ArtistDirect review as gospel. Nonetheless, interesting song descriptions.
  7. All those are likely fake, but all are really cool. I can't wait to get the Hunting Party CD, have a feeling the liner art for this album's going to be fantastic.
  8. Ain't nobody got time for that
  9. 10. My word, what a setlist. Surprised not to see any real Hybrid Theory rarities, but maybe they're saving those for DL. Going to avoid videos of Wastelands so the studio version can be the first thing I hear, but would love to see bits of this, the new hip hop medley in particular.
  11. Rock AM Ring 2004 always comes to mind.
  12. Chester staking a serious claim for best screamer in rock history.
  13. It's looking amazing guys, thank you for your continual hard work in making this the best fansite on the web.
  14. 1. Hybrid Theory 2. A Thousand Suns 3. Meteora 4. Minutes to Midnight 5. Living Things Minutes has only overtaken Living Things (in my mind) very recently.
  15. Does anyone know if Chester still smokes?
  16. Hybrid Theory. Every single song is A+ standard, it's just over half an hour of utterly perfect rock music. One of my top three favourite albums of all time, by any artist. I love A Thousand Suns as a well, as a whole thing, but when many of the tracks are taken out and heard individually they don't stand up quite as well, and because HT is perfect both as a whole and based on any one song you pull out of it, it remains my favourite to this day.
  17. I've love High Voltage; I'd love And One even more. I expect neither, but on the small chance we do get one or both much revelry will be had.
  18. Yeah, I'd say Until It's Gone is the likely candidate for the soundtrack.
  19. Stoked for A Line in the Sand, has the potential for LTGYA epicness. Yeah, I think The Summoning will be the calm before the absolute storm of War. Can't wait!
  20. A summer setlist. 01) Papercut 02) Given Up 03) Somewhere I Belong 04) Lost in the Echo 05) Points of Authority/By Myself/Forgotten (Rotate) 06) New Divide 07) Waiting for the End 08) Until It's Gone 09) Leave Out all the Rest 10) With You/Runaway/A Place for My Head (Rotate) 11) Breaking the Habit 12) Castle of Glass 13) *New Song* 14) In the End/Pushing Me Away/Crawling (Rotate) 15) What I've Done 16) Numb 17) Burn It Down 18) One Step Closer ==================== 19) Cure For the Itch 20) Guilty All the Same 21) Faint 22) Bleed It Out
