  1. +1 HT and Meteora will be remembered, but i reckon MTM and ATS sadly will be in a decade or so... if your ordinary person on the street was asked about them, they'd probably assume that since meteora, the band's split up or something, since they haven't heard of LP on such a massive scale since about 2003. they might end up as one of those weird bands you see reviews of where it's like their 15th studio album, where the reviewer says "if you already know them, you'll like this...". in years to come I think it's only going to be really big fans (like us!) who'll keep paying for their music and live shows. for everyone else they'll just be a nostalgia thing they'll be like say...Sum 41, where all the casual listeners know about like "Fat Lip" and ... can't actually remember the name of the other one (prove my point much?). songs like In The End and Somewhere I Belong will be those BIG tracks people remember, but as LP seem intent on being different on each of their relases, I think they'll lose that popular appeal - like you said, 3 minute songs about dancing! that said, it doesn't bother me hugely, because i know i'll still listen to them!
  2. Hands Held High I don't think it sounds good without backing music, the crowd seemd to go a bit dead afterwards, plus Mike seems to be "stuttering and stumbling" alot... EDIT: jesus, i've got to stop making shit jokes like this...
  3. thanks man! i did think to myself "hmm...why have i never heard of 2.5 before?" ahh well, i got it in a lot of about 15 CDs on eBay including some other (real) LPU stuff for pretty cheap, so no worries. i did guess it might just be different packaging for different regions, wasn't about to trawl through the whole thing just to find some differences thanks dude!
  4. hiya, got a couple of questions about some CDs Underground 2.5 can someone fill me in on a this one? the back cover says it was released in 2003 by EMI, (barcode - 7243 580568 2 2, other numbers - UK: 580 56882), the artwork looks a bit cheap and i'm wondering if this really is from the LPU, or just EMI trying to cash in on the "underground" name (aren't all the LPU CDs relased via Machine Shop...?) it's got some interesting tracks on it, and i'm not going to be really disappointed with it if it's not LPU, i'd just quite like to know Minutes To Midnight CD/MVI book thing I have two versions of this, one with a grey/red cover, another with black/grey cover - can someone tell me why there's two versions of the same thing...? cheers guys

  6. I came across an article thread on the DBS page, and was surpsrised to find there was nothing similar on Linkin Park. thought it might be quite handy to start one up for LP i'll get the ball rolling, but feel free to suggest any additions, i have only been into LP since about '08 so i know i'll have missed stuff. internet stuff welcome, so long as you can provide a link Big Cheese Magazine Guitar One Magazine #45, May 2001, Kerrang! 7. not quite LP - in American Beauty, there is a poster of the artwork for Orgy's "Candyass" album in Janey's room not quite a Movie - Bill Bailey's "The Majesty of Emo" uses the intro riff from LFY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_Y2nBr_c4w well worth a watch - Bill Bailey is hilarious
  8. yeahhh... numb/encore it sounded really weak on that DVD
  9. qwerty has always been a demo really... but yeah, most of them are unreleased... fingers crossed for LPU11

  11. i'm going to look like a total idiot for asking this, but what or who is GBC?
  12. hahaha too true, i don't know what it is, but i cannot understand why crowds can't clap in time. I've drummed for the play We Will Rock You, and it's incredible how many people can't manage to clap to We Will Rock You's beat - it's not complicated!
  13. DBS' show at HMV Fourm in London was given 5 K's by Kerrang Magazine... i'll try and dig it up, gimme a sec... EDIT: my mistake, 4 K's... , issue 1302, march 6th 2010
  14. lol! it'll probably just be the location of the Vegas show, not that exciting if you're not going... :/
  15. liking the acoustic BITS, just don't have phoenix playing piano...
  16. probably the most likely greatest hits - all the singles in order (beside New Divide... ) and no extra unreleased gems, if a greatest hits was released, it'd be compiled by some Warner Bros. office guy, not a member of LPL

    Medleys

think about how good the hip-hop medley was - it'd be awesome! maybe LP could work out some nice transitions like the "blood anger suffering" one between figure 0.9 and from the inside, it seems like that's the way the band's going with these little transitions on ATS, maybe if the band did think about doing some medleys, some of those "seeds" made during MTM/ATS might see the light of day EDIT: this is my 100th post, feel privileged
  18. disc 1 for the singles, and another for b-sides would NEVER happen, too many people from the LPU would be pissed about that...
  19. lgr

    Question :D

kind of hard to say what defines the "best" performance... crowd participation, vocal performance, interesting arrangement? etc can you be more specific?
  20. thanks! have been looking to get some JK
