  1. Yep, really like that cover Alex did a good job once again!
  2. My ranking would be: 1. Walking In Circles 2. Fire 3. Let Down 4. In The Darkness 5. The Morning After 6. Crawl Back in 7. My Suffering ... but actually I like all of them
  3. Wow, that's awesome - I love "Dedicated"! Now I can't wait to hear the DSP
  4. Yeah, "Fire" is also my favorite DBS song so far, along with "Walking In Circles" (even though we have only low-quality versions of the latter song so far!)
  5. On LP's official site, the registered users can mark all LP shows that they attended or will attend. Have you looked up if someone has signed up for the Asian shows (which is likely, considering the great amount of registered members)? If yes, you should probably contact those people--maybe you're lucky and one of them speaks at least a little bit English and can provide you with show info. Or contact someone who has attended past Japanese/Asian gigs--he/she might know someone who attended the 2009 shows!
  6. LOVED the video and the samples in it! Oh, and I'm kinda sure that they used the only two times where Chester beat Ryan in COD4 for the video Just kidding!
  7. No one can beat Ryan *laughs* But on a serious note: How about Scott Koziol? I have no idea if there is a way to contact him but maybe you guys will find one *laughs* Or maybe someone from Grey Daze? Haven't you interviewed Sean Dowdell before? If not, then I'm sure it would a good pick! Mark Fiore would be cool, too! Or someone from Fort Minor or their management.
  8. Of course DBS. I also really like FM now but I had a hard time listening to the songs when I heard them for the first time. I've more and more grown to like some hip-hop stuff but back then I just wasn't that much into hip-hop.
  9. It actually reminds me of a Counter-Strike screenshot or something like that *laughs* And I think the triangle in the middle is quite weird!
  10. Yes, as far as I know it was the bluegrass version of "One Step Closer" which is available on this tribute album: http://www.amazon.de/Bluegrass-Tribute-Lin...9214&sr=8-1
  11. I also really think JK should take their thing over to Europe, especially when they have gotten some more attention here through their work with DBS. For me, they wouldn't even have to tour with LP since I always prefer small club shows over huge arena shows, and the musical atmosphere of Julien-K rather fits to smaller, comfortable clubs or bars So yeah, in the end I actually don't care how Julien-K are coming over - the main thing for me is that they will actually have the opportunity to play Europe with Julien-K and not only as parts of DBS And I'm actually sure that there will be a lot more JK albums. The guys already said that they have new stuff for like 2 albums so I'm very optimistic in that
  12. I agree, "Dedicated" over POA would rock! Or how about some "Step Up" or "It's Goin' Down" verses??
  13. Hahaha, I haven't noticed yet but I will listen to it. The only thing I know is that the intro and the riffs of "Crawl Back In" totally remind me of Blur's "Song 2"
  14. Nice, thanks for sharing! Wow, so the single and the video will be out next week in the US? I didn't even know - that's badass!
  15. Hahaha, I actually get that One of my favorite songs!
  16. Oh God, that last one kicks ass!!!
  17. If you are finished figuring out the tabs by yourself, you should send Ryan Shuck the tabs. I'm sure he would get back to you and tell you if they are right, and maybe even correct the mistakes He is cool like that!

    Fire

I think it's rather "You're looking down upon me" than "You look in that part of me" Would also make more sense since it is "When I look to the stars" some lines earlier.
  19. So am I right that Mike basically confirmed an LP appearance at Rock am Ring/Rock im Park festivals here in Germany for 2010?
  20. I would approve of the thought of having a separate street team or fanclub for DBS because I don't want to sign up for the LPU just to see DBS footage. And if they are posting DBS exclusives in the LPU, it would only be fair if Julien-K made it available for their street team members as well (and the membership in the JK street team is for free, by the way!) I'm gonna ask them about it!
  21. Umm, just one thing: Elias did not say anything about a tour in the UK or Europe. He didn't even say something about a live performance in the UK - he just said they will be in the UK in September. They could just be there for some interviews, press stuff, etc.
  22. They will also come to Germany again in late September But it might be only press showcases so don't get your hopes up too high that it is a full tour!
  23. That sounds awesome! *lol* And now that you mention Mark Fiore, I could slap myself because now I know that I've seen him at the hotel in Stuttgart (--> all the LP sound guys and crew members were staying at the same hotel as Julien-K) and did not recognize him. I saw Pooch there, though, and did not recognize him either but he talked to Ryan for some seconds and then Ryan came back and told me that this was Pooch. Damn, I would have loved to talk to Pooch as well but he then disappeared *lol*
  24. Haha, even Amazon Germany got the release date wrong and says it will be out on September 10th! But yeah, I also saw the posters with the release date October 9th, so I guess that's official now. I asked the guys from Julien-K and they were actually not sure about the release date either but they also thought it was October. But they even gave me some stickers from the Graz show which still had the release date "September 11th" on it *hahaha*
  25. Okay, so here is my short review from the show: I missed like half of LP's set and all support acts because we were hanging with Julien-K for too long and did not watch the time. This wasn't that bad, though, because theoretically we would have only missed like 1 or 2 LP songs. But the whole area around the Cannstatter Wasen was just so damn locked that we were lead around the area for like 20-25 minutes to another entrance, and therefore we missed some more songs from LP. This was kinda annoying but what can we do... Then I was standing kinda far back (first because we were too late and second because I still have to wear a cast around my broken arm and I didn't feel like being pushed around all the time) but we could at least see the two big screens. When the three DBS songs came up, I luckily got offered the chance to sit on a handrail and therefore had a great sight, even though I was far away from the stage. DBS just ROCKED - it was my highlight of the night performance-wise! The three songs really left me wanting more, and "Fire" has totally become my new favorite by them. Now some words to LP: They did a very solid performance, but I also missed the communication with the fans, as it has been criticized on here before. But I guess they were pretty hard-pressed throughout the whole set since they were forced to stop at 10pm. The quality of the performance was great, as usual, and I also really enjoyed seeing "New Divide" live. Just one thing: The booing fans throughout the DBS set really annoyed the hell out of me! I know I rather stood in the back where there are hardly any hardcore fans but sometimes I really ask myself how intolerant some fans can be... I mean, you have LP's lead singer standing there and he really made the effort to introduce his new project to the fans, and there are even 3 more songs on the setlist than the usual 19 songs, and what are some of these damn fans doing? They are booing and complaining all the time because (I'm seriously quoting someone) "I can't fucking believe that we are getting such a crappy band as an encore that is not LP and sounds like shit! I want my money back!" I mean, what the hell??? LP's lead singer is in it and he has all the rights to introduce his project during LP's set if he feels like it and the others approve of it! And it is more considered to be an extra, and then these fans are being that greedy and selfish? I can't believe it! Funniest thing was that when LP returned to the stage to play even more songs, the people were STILL complaining about DBS even though they got an LP encore as well. I'm sorry but this is more than poor and I just had to vent about it because I can't believe how narrow-minded and dumb some people can be! I mean, it's totally okay not to like DBS and I never judge anyone for his/her taste but one could at least ACCEPT it and be fair to the band that is giving everything onstage (and I'm not just saying this because I'm a diehard Julien-K fan)!
