  1. I'm gonna attend the Stuttgart concert! ... and if Julien-K happen to be the support act, I'm also gonna go to the Ferropolis show!
  2. No, no, and no. I have no idea why people are always making facts out of things that they don't really know because apparently they don't even know the band that well. For example, have a look at their message board and street team - most members have discovered the band through Orgy. A lot of LP fans like Julien-K pretty much - or they accept them, but they aren't real fans or even die-hard fans! I'm sorry for getting into that again but it just gets annoying to me after a while and needs to be cleared up. And yeah, I honestly think I know a lot about Julien-K as I'm a die-hard fan since 2004. And that was it from me.
  3. They are not Most fans discovered them through their previous (and apparently still existant) band Orgy!
  4. I'm pretty sure this is Ryan's home studio Amir has one as well but there are several pictures of Ryan's home studio at the Julien-K site and this picture fits well into it. And @ Hahninator: As I already said on the JKMB, it would be cool if you could ask them about an official European release for DTA or if they plan on making up the canceled European dates this summer (maybe even with LP?). There are so many European fans and even fan sites out there that we should really deserve a solid response to these questions And by the way, I think you should take care not to ask too much about DBS and Chester and also include other questions that have to do with Julien-K because people should not get the wrong impression as if these guys are only getting famous because of Chester. Too many people already think that and it's a pity. I know it's LP Live and you have a special interest in their work with Chester but yeah, it shouldn't be all Chester, I think Maybe you can also find a way to address this issue in the interview?
  5. I'm glad Ryan shed some light on why they couldn't come over. This guy just rocks! I really appreciate his honesty!
  6. I get it but I gotta say I'm a Julien-K hardcore fan, so yeah... The only thing I'm unsure about: What's the deal with that Kenji Kato guy? You were referring to Mike's blog, but what did you want to point out with that? "Secret Asian Man"?
  7. Dreamland is such an awesome track!!! Anybody should get the single - Dreamland alone is worth the money *laughs* The censored video of Kick The Bass is also up at YouTube now so for those who had problems watching the video at the Playboy.com player, check it out here:
  8. Just a suggestion: It would be really helpful if you also included the date and exact location of the festival into your post
  9. Bands I would love to see at PR again (especially for possible European shows): ADEMA ASHES dIVIDE HIM Innerpartysystem JULIEN-K!!!!!!!! KoRn Mindless Self Indulgence Pendulum Placebo Street Drum Corps Styles Of Beyond Bands/Artists I would love to see at PR that weren't in the line-up before: A Perfect Circle Atmosphere Avenged Sevenfold Black Light Burns Bloc Party Bright Eyes Coheed And Cambria Coldplay Cypress Hill Dead By Sunrise Deftones Disturbed dope dredg End Of Green (in Germany) Filter Five Finger Death Punch Fort Minor Godsmack Incubus Justice Kid Rock Klaxons Lostprophets Marilyn Manson MUSE!!!! Oasis Portishead Puddle Of Mudd Red Hot Chili Peppers Shiny Toy Guns Sixx:A.M. Spineshank (they're back together!) Staind Static-X Stone Temple Pilots!! (or Scott solo) System Of A Down Taproot The Crystal Method The Faint The Killers!!! The Prodigy The Roots Tool!! Bands that might be unrealistic or even impossible to tour with but need to be mentioned nevertheless: Depeche Mode!!! (I think Chester would seriously die if that happened *lol*) Faith No More Mötley Crüe NINE INCH NAILS!! Orgy Rage Against The Machine Rammstein Slipknot The Cure
  10. Fuck yeah - Dreamland!! I surely hope it is true and is really a surprise, and that it wasn't removed because they changed their decision
  11. This goes especially out to those from Germany, but you others might be interested as well: I've created my own support MySpace page for Julien-K called JULIEN-K GERMANY. It can be accessed HERE or by clicking at the picture in my signature. Feel free to add me, or even sign up to the Street Team if you're from Germany
  12. I'd love to have a headliner tour but I think they will support another band, especially if they really manage to come over to Europe because they aren't that known here yet. @ Hahninator: I think it's likely that they will release the Dreamland EP on February 17th but I don't think they will release Everyone Knows because that song was never finished and I kinda doubt that they finished it now. Another possibility is that they finally release the full Kick The Bass video that also includes a guest appearance by Chester.
  13. This announcement by Ryan Shuck should clear up a lot of the confusion regarding the release date of the album: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...logID=462438622 And if you now want to join the official Street Team to help Julien-K out more, it is a great time to do so because there will be lots of stuff going in the next days and weeks http://www.myspace.com/julienkstreet And here the links to the preorder: Normal Version Limited Edition (including the remix CD)
  14. So apparently there won't be a digital release of the album on February 17th... Those were only assumptions anyway, but the main banner of their MySpace has also changed now, and the album will not be released until March 10th (which will be a CD release). This kinda sucks because now the matching date with the death of analog TV got lost... But oh well, we Julien-K fans are fucking used to delays, so... whatever. By the way: The limited edition of the CD will also feature the bonus remix CD Death To Digital where the remix made my Mike Shinoda can be heard. A new article and free download of Dave Aude's Kick The Bass remix can be seen here.
  15. A lot of live songs, remixes, and song samples/snippets
  16. Nice - thanks for posting some Julien-K news again Just one thing: The band has never officially stated that they will release the album in the digital (download) way on February 17th. They have confirmed that the album is gonna be released on CD by Metropolis on March 10th for the US and Canada, but they haven't said anything about how the album will be released on February 17th. I think it is most likely that they will release it digitally at that date but we don't know 100 %. Just wanted to point this out since this wasn't official yet. I'm still totally excited for the release and can't wait for it. I'm even expecting it to become the album of the year - along with the Dead By Sunrise debut release
  17. Hey there! AWESOME Julien-K signature - I like it a lot! Did you do it by yourself? :)

  18. Oh my God, those are brillant performances! Totally loved 'em! I would have never thought Chester could even bring out the Lemmy By the way, did anyone besides me notice that the one who uploaded all the videos on YouTube wrote in a description: "Look for a Camp Freedy CD / DVD soon"! That would TOTALLY rock, and I'm sure we could see some of Chester's performances in high quality!
  19. IMO that's nonsense. I mean, sure, it's a fact that Chester has been a great help to them and that they are very close friends, but you can't say that they wouldn't have a career if it wasn't for him. They could definitely do their thing without him. They would possibly need a little more time to get out and build up their fanbase, but they definitely have the potential to do it all by themselves. I mean, don't forget that most of their fans didn't discover them through Linkin Park, Chester, or the PR 07 Tour, but through Orgy or their tours with MSI/The Birthday Massacre and Evanescence. And a lot of J-K fans also disapprove of the work with Chester. I'm kinda stuck in between since I love both Julien-K and Chester (and also LP, of course) *lol* And by the way, as far as DBS goes: The guys from J-K didn't ask Chester if they could work with them in order to get more exposure for their band (--> that is a rumor that has also been going around in diverse LP fan circles, and therefore I wanted to address it), but it was Chester who asked them to be a part of this project because he knew that the J-K guys are just amazingly talented musicians/producers, and that they could help him as well. Chester has also learned a lot from them regarding producing, technical stuff, sampling, etc. Therefore Julien-K definitely contribute a lot to his own career!!
  20. And that's the point for me. They hardly ever think of all the European and other non-US fans of Linkin Park, therefore it pisses me off how a lot of bands suddenly come out with those Best Buy-only limited editions of CDs. I mean, what the hell??? LP are from the USA, I assume most of their fans are from there, and since the LPU is also located in the USA, most of the LPUers might be from the States as well, especially since it is a lot easier for the Americans to join. THEN WHY THE HELL DO THEY RELEASE A BEST BUY CD THAT HARDLY ANYONE OUTSIDE OF THE US CAN GET??? *shakes head* That's just bullshit. A lot of people from other parts of the world might have never had the chance to join LPU (and I'm not speaking for me because I never wanted to join in the first place) and this CD would be a great compensation for them, and give them a taste of what the membership would be like. Or it would maybe even get them so far as to finally join the club. But no, it's all for the Americans again. Tell me about the logic behind that... It's just stupid! And yeah, I agree that the LPU CDs have never been that exclusive I've never been in the LPU and nevertheless I have all songs from the CDs, etc. They can be found easily if you're a hardcore fan and really want to have them
  21. It will be the 17th, not the 19th; as you can see at the animation it will come out at the same day that digital TV dies, which is the 17th I guess this was just a typo but I just wanted to let you know. And no, Julien-K is NOT half of Linkin Park *lol* Not even Dead By Sunrise is And yes, there is a remix of their song "Death To Analog" by Mike Shinoda. The guys themselves regularly update their Wikipedia (their name on there is JKDJS) and it was them who added the news about the Mike Shinoda remix, so this is true! They have never officially announced the remix but they rarely announce anything - it adds to the whole mystery of the band that we fans almost gotta figure it out all by ourselves *lol* We don't know yet when it will be out, though!
  22. DAMMIT, they put one of my suggestions in the final voting {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif So THIS was my post *lol* And they put "Sunset Revolution - Linkin Park Live In The UK" in the final voting. Too bad I couldn't vote for it anymore - I missed it because it was only up for a short time. These were the titles to choose from, I guess: "Midnight In Milton Keynes" is good, too!
