Yes, I think so, too! And I also think it is likely that Mike might remix a DBS song at one point. I mean, he has even remixed JK before, so why shouldn't he maybe do it for DBS?
-
I don't think there will be a fanclub such as LPU or FMM for Dead By Sunrise. All street team-like promotion will be set up through the LPU/Machine Shop Marketing or Julien-K's street team Systeme de Street, I guess.
-
Ryan said in the 98KUPD interview that he would actually love to see "Inside Of Me" as a single. So maybe they will really go for it at one point?
-
It's kinda strange that Warner has set up an official German site, though, which can be reached at http://www.dead-by-sunrise.de! So why isn't there an official English one? *laughs* And I'd actually love to own that CD, too, for collection purposes. Maybe it will appear on Ebay at some point! And now I am actually wondering to which DBS member or contributor the publishing labels "Universal Music Z-Songs," "Devious Din," "Blood Sucking Maggot," and "Spacetime Machine Music" belong *lol* "Chesterchaz Publishing" is clear but in the Julien-K booklet of Death To Analog one can see that the publishing labels of the JK members were "Enders Game" (I'd think this one belongs to Ryan, since it is one of his favorite books), "Synthicide" (probably Amir), "Chipotle Music" (Brandon, I guess), "TP Music" (Elias? Have no idea!), and "Anthony Valcic" (which is Fu). "Devious Din" might belong to Amir or Brandon, though, since one of their JKDJS song mixes was called "Deviant Din Mix."
-
Haha, yeah, there is only one shot of Fu in the video! But he doesn't like to be in the spotlight anyway so it's all good He is more like the "ingenious guy pulling the strings in the background" *laughs*
-
Oh yes, me too! I really hope this will happen! The whole interview was just hilarious - I just love seeing Chester and Ryan together!! And now I'm completely stoked for "Inside Of Me"! *hahaha* And I would actually love to see Julien-K doing some separate headliner shows in between the DBS shows. Ryan already suggested that idea once, and I want him to hold on to it and make it happen *laughs*
-
Yes, exactly. Didn't really like the MTM artworks and new logos either so I hope for something really cool for the next cycle!
-
Ryan actually got me VERY excited for that "Inside Of Me" song. His description sounds awesome, and now I'm especially excited for that "Wohohoo" part in the chorus *hahaha*
-
I actually wouldn't want Julien-K to play an LP song, and I also doubt that it will ever happen with DBS.... *lol* It's not like they could freestyle raps from an LP song over some sampled beats, like Mike did when he covered an LP song in Fort Minor. There would be more factors, e.g. they don't have Mr. Hahn, and DBS have a keyboarder that plays some crazy synthie effects, and not the stuff that Mike plays when he's playing the keyboard. And Ryan and Amir have totally different-sounding guitars--I just can't for the hell of it imagine them to ever play an LP song, and hope it will never happen *lol*

"Crawl Back In" Live @ Sonisphere Download

Yes please!!! -
I agree!
-
Good to know So we will definitely have pro-shot footage from this show!
-
I'd really love to read that book. The whole concept is very interesting and I'd love to get to know more about it. Unfortunately, it will cost me a shitload of money to get it. Not sure if I will buy it anytime soon but at some point I need to get my hands on it! He should officially release it here in Europe as well *laughs*
-
Umm, I highly doubt they will play anything except for their own DBS songs *hahaha* And I also doubt that they will ever play LP or BOW stuff in the DBS line-up. The only thing that I could imagine would be that they are playing some Julien-K stuff with Chester helping out on the vocals, but also not on their first tour... Maybe on some of their next tours or on their European tours, in order to present some JK stuff to the European audience who have never seen them before!
-
Fuck yeah, can't wait for it! I hope it will also be shown on MTV like... all the time!
-
I really love this song and I think it's way better than "Crawl Back In". I already expected it to be great, by the way, judging from the live version My only complaint is that I would have loved to hear Ryan singing in the background, just as he does in the live versions. I love how he and Chester sing the chorus together, and one doesn't really hear that in the studio version. So yeah, that's basically my only complaint! I love the trippy guitar effects in the chorus, by the way, and the ending is incredible, both musically and vocally Oh, and the whole production reminds me of Adema's Unstable album but that comes as no surprise since Howard Benson also produced that album *hahaha* I'm definitely okay with the multi-layering, though!

That's sweet I'm kinda sure that European dates are gonna be announced soon......

Favorite Show of the Minutes To Midnight Touring Cycle?
immortalsoul replied to LPPRJKT4's topic in Live Talk
Of course Rock am Ring 2007 has to be named because it was the first LP performance that I ever saw. And the ending of the show with "Faint" was just incredible! I'm sure there were some other great shows but I'm not a diehard show collector so I haven't listened to that many full sets, or I tend to mess them up, so yeah, can't name any more. -
The hardcore stuff performed during the M2M Touring Cycle from 07-09
immortalsoul replied to LPPRJKT4's topic in Live Talk
I think at one German show (maybe Hannover '08) Mike also played a short cover of The Cure's "Just Like Heaven" because he got to know at the M&G that some guy wanted to propose to his fiancee, and so he played this song as background song for the proposal?? Not that sure about it, though! -
Yep, only the JKDJS (aka Amir and Brandon DJing) are gonna play there! But I'm sure the other guys will be around as well - just not performing *laughs*
-
@meteora_01 and numbrocker: Thanks! Haha, if I was in the LPU, I would actually suggest that idea to one of the mods there, or post about it in a message board. But maybe Adam reads this and likes the idea - who knows BTW: My idea would also prevent these time shift problems. People would not have to stay awake in the night, or miss it because they thought it would take place at another time. I just think those regular chats are a bit outdated nowadays. There are cooler and more modern ways to do it
-
They TOTALLY are! They are by far the coolest, friendliest, funniest, most authentic, and most down-to-earth musicians that I ever got to meet! And thanks for mentioning me and linking our JULIEN-K GERMANY video in that post, Mark! I did not see your post until now *lol*
-
I really hope the info with the video is correct! Can't wait to see it!!
-
I've never participated in a chat but to me these chats always seem messy and a bit uncoordinated. Wouldn't it be cooler to do it in a similar way as you guys and LPA did it with the Chester interview? Like, collecting questions for Mike in a certain thread, and then the LPU mods or leaders pick out the 20 (or whatever amount) best (or most asked) questions and Mike answers to them in a written response or on the phone? This would prevent having the same questions over and over again, and I'm sure it would be more informative, and less stressful for Mike. And one could publish the username of the one who asks, so it would also feel like asking Mike directly in the chat.
