Come on Mark, give us the new shit! Pleaseeeeeee? "Don't tease man, give em the good shit!"
  3. I really appreciate someone making this thread. Michael Jackson's influence on music can only really be matched by Elvis and The Beatles. One of the greatest entertainers to ever live. R.I.P. Michael Jackson.
  4. Not until the LPU9 CD of course. ... what?

    NME Interview

You'd be surprised at how horrible internet journalism can be. I read the article you are referring to, and JUST LIKE this article, there is no direct quote from Chester, or anyone, saying Rick Rubin is the producer. It would not surprise me in the least if they read the NME article and just copied what they saw.
  6. I don't think they changed the lyrics with the intent of making them more commercial. The original lyrics Mike was singing sounded a bit simplistic, I think that Chester made the right call in saying there were some words they could change. I think they improved it. Hearing Mike sing it with just piano though was really awesome. He has a nice singing voice, it's not the best nor the most flashy, but it's just very nice to hear.
  7. I'm loving that the latest LPTV episodes seem to be showing us a bit more than usual. Lots of news in LP world lately. I hope it keeps coming.

Can HybridMeteora798 and Arbiter share that cookie? Co-LPLers of the day ftw.

When the album leaks, we'll know who to thank. I mean punish.

    NME Interview

Ding ding ding. We has winner. I do however remember Mike saying that they did already have a producer in line, but were waiting to announce it. I wonder who it REALLY is.

I don't understand what you're saying. They said MtM would be different from the other two albums and it absolutely is. So what is it that you don't trust?

    NME Interview

I give up peoples Mike already said that the producer was NOT going to be Rick Rubin. I am pretty sure he wouldn't go back on that. I am 99.9% sure this article just assumed that the producer of the next album would be the same as the last one.

Did you not hear him singing Faint on Monday night? Faint, Numb, In The End, and Bleed It Out were all great. Don't let New Divide's performance make you start generalizing. Chester has AMAZING ability as a singer. I do agree with you though on the fact that if LP wants a performance to remember at Sonisphere they need to drop some of those songs.

Agree with EVERYTHING, especially the bolded. Linkin Park is an amazing live band. Their performances did dip in 07-08, I think everyone can agree on that. But the performance at the T2 premier was great. We know this band is extremely capable, and if they have a goal to make Sonisphere an amazing show, they can most definitely do it.
  15. Celemony? What website are you referring to? Can you post a link please? EDIT: Nevermind, I found it.
  16. I think they'll definitely just use the same sets they did last year with New Divide added in during the first encore. Maybe if they start playing a new song, they'll use that new song to replace In Pieces/TLTGYA The setlists will really start changing after some new singles/the new album is released.

    NME Interview

Yeah I'd kinda like to discuss how my jaw dropped when I read this article. I know Chester can be pretty outspoken but this is awesome. LP is great live, and if they are trying to take that next step to become one of the greatest, they can certainly do it. Can't wait for Sonisphere, is anyone on the site going?
  18. Interesting thing I thought I'd mention. Talinda on her blog was asked about Chester's voice going flat during New Divide, and she replied that it was the sound guy messing up. Is that just an excuse (defend your man Talinda!) or were some of the other band members flat causing Chester to sing out of key as well? I figure if anyone would have an ear for that it would be Astat but does anyone have some incite into this?

EDIT: I'm starting to catch the sarcasm.

    NME Interview

Mike already confirmed the producer was NOT GOING TO BE Rick Rubin. Is it really that hard to figure out that this article is mistaken? And holy shit I love the confidence Chester. And they can back it up too.
  21. I think overall ND was not as bad as it could have been for a first real performance. New Divide sounds like a pain to perform live vocally, and it can really only get better from here with experience. So I think overall that was definitely a hell of a show. Chester sounds better in the fan videos for Faint/Numb/ITE/BiO than he did in the pro-recorded DSPs of 07-08.
  22. The band did a really good job with In The End and Bleed It Out. Chester was really on fire, the whole band killed it. New Divide, eh. I'll wait for the proshot. That video quality isn't quite as good as the other songs so I want to reserve complete judgement. EDIT: Numb sounded really good as well. This seems like it was an outstanding show with the exception of New Divide sounding average. But again I'll wait for the proshot for complete judgement.
  23. Of course, it sucks. But this was first and foremost a movie premier and a celebrity event, so im not exactly surprised.
  24. You dont honestly think LP had any control over venue seating do you?
  25. Keep trying, it went down for a while for me too, but I can see it again now. Wait, if it wasn't Megan Fox then who was it?
