The most special performances from the DSP's
Geki replied to JZLP-Benningstrong's topic in Live Talk
I wish LP would release a documentary of types which had the band telling the story of the band, some music videos, a lot of cool unreleased live footage, etc. Audio of older shows would be nice but I think video of it would be even better. MCR did that in 2013 when they released their final Greatest Hits album I think and Muse put out a live album in 2013 as well which had the show in Rome as well as some footage of songs from other shows in the bonus. I say this because there is a lot of epic stuff from 2000-2006 but mostly it's just single songs (My Own Summer, Wish, A.06, It's Goin' Down, And One, etc.) and not the entire show. -
Wow... cool to know the full story. I had always wondered exactly what happened. I remember there was a rumor going around in 2008 that Mike and Busta got in an altercation backstage and that's why he left the tour, but we all knew that was false. Just good to know the full story now. Thanks.
-
Well, maybe. Anything is possible. I was just guessing what I thought would happen. I'm not against a FM comeback. It would be awesome if it happened. The first show I ever went to in my life was a FM show in 2006 and I loved TRT.
-
I don't think so. I was just looking at my PR 2008 tour pamphlet thing and it said to watch out for Busta Rhyme's new album ''Blessed'' coming in fall 2008. Obviously he changed the name of the album and released it in 2009 but I think maybe some kind of legal issue happened or something and he wasn't able to release We Made It on the album like he originally planned to do in 2008. It's kind of weird how he dropped off the tour after like 5 shows or something and then We Made It was never promoted again or anything.

3 German shows is a lot since they played Germany early in 2014 and went back again in November for like 9 shows or something like that. I'm also surprised that the UK didn't get a show. Maybe they will, who knows. I think the goal is similar to how 2013 was. Do a short touring schedule for the year and be done by September and Mike will go write the new LP album while Chester releases the STP release in the fall and then Chester will come back in around December or so once he is done touring with STP and work on the music with LP and LP will release the album in summer 2016 with a new tour, etc. Chester said they were already working on LP7 back in January and he recently told Altwire that he would like to have an LP album out in 2016. He also said that in order for him to continue working with STP they will have to find a way to work around LP, which they have been doing, so he said it will work out. LP is his #1 priority and always will be but Mike can still write a lot of the album while he is on the road with STP, etc., so it evens out nice. This is how I think 2015/2016 will be. I find it highly odd that it's almost April now and Mike hasn't mentioned literally anything about Fort Minor this year so I'm thinking we might have just overreacted as a community and there might not be new Fort Minor shit, maybe just an anniversary show or something.

This will probably be a great show. JZE better be there since he is the biggest fan in Mexico.

APFMH - Paris, 2010 (Special performance and the only time it was performed in full during the ATS era) BIO/NRL - Chiba, 2011 (Because it's NRL live) Umbrella - Manchester, 2008 (One of the two times that Mike performed this) BTH - Toronto, 2008 (The only time LP has ever performed the song in full piano version) WID - Toronto, 2008 (The only time LP has ever performed HHH over the WID intro) Faint - Denver, 2007 (All bands on the tour came out to do Faint with LP) In Pieces - Detroit, 2008 (Chester's speech before the song) Given Up - Selma, 2007 (Full Chester scream) Given Up - Columbus, 2008 (Full Chester scream) Given Up - Montreal, 2008 (Full Chester scream) Blackout - San Joze, 2011 (Chester NAILS the screaming in this performance better than any other IMO) Numb/Encore - New York City, 2008 (Only SBD of Jay-Z with LP besides Milton Keynes) Jigga What/Faint - New York City, 2008 (Only SBD of Jay-Z with LP besides Milton Keynes) Given Up - Athens, 2009 (Only time Chester has sang ''I hyperventilate and YOU don't care like in the MTM booklet) Fire/CBI/MS - Any 2009 show that has it (DBS SBD recording) There are a lot more and a lot of just great shows but those are some of my favorites. -
The only chat I ever attended with Rob was back in December 2006, I think. He gave some pretty cool information during that chat and he talked about ''Drum Song'' and stuff. Maybe I will attend this chat.
-
I really like the way this sounds. It reminds me of LT. I can't wait for the studio version to come out.
-
I've seen a lot of this artwork in the past but there is some stuff that I haven't seen. I really dig the MTM stuff.
-
This is a great episode. I can't believe they actually showed the footage from when he broke it (kind of).
-
I'm on the fence as to whether or not FM is coming back this year, but if they do, it will be awesome.
-
I'll be at the Boston show. This will be my 3rd time seeing STP since Chester joined the band and my 2nd time seeing them at this venue. It's gonna be fun.
-
You have a Pokemon picture.
-
Chester doesn't have to run around on stage or jump on shit, though. 2 shows should be enough. He could just play the tour the same way he played Indy the other night. But yeah, what you guys are saying basically confirms that the rest of the tour will be cancelled most likely. Yes, because you know me in real life. You know everything that I've gone through in my life and you know just how my mind works based off a message board on a fucking Linkin Park fansite. Ok champ. BTW, I guess you haven't checked out the comment section on Facebook for Linkin Park and Rise Against about this tour cancellation. Because if you did, I would naturally assume that you think most, if not all, of the people commenting are also incapable of thinking rationally and you probably pity all of them as well. A lot of the people are actually my age or even older. If you don't, then you're just being an asshole to me because you have some sort of ''beef'' with me because of what I write on a Linkin Park message board and that's just sad. LOL.
-
I'm sorry that I'm the odd one out here that is pissed off about this cancelled tour.
-
On purpose? WTF? When did I say that? I've been saying that I obviously hope that he heals and shit but the fact that it severely sucks to have your show cancelled on you was my main point. It's not just to my satisfaction, either. I feel bad for the people who get their show cancelled anywhere because I know the feeling and it hurts when you are really a big fan and it happens to you. The thing that sucks the most is the fact that I KNOW Providence and Manchester will be cancelled, as well as the rest of the tour, too. If he really was just cancelling these two shows I could definitely accept it, honestly. The thing that is bothering me is the fact that I am inevitably waiting for them to cancel the rest of the shows at this point.
-
I'm sorry that I am a little pissed off that my show was cancelled 2 days before it took place. I actually wouldn't even be that mad if they just announced that Providence and the rest of the tour is cancelled NOW instead of later. Because I know that the announcement is coming for that. Astat is probably right. He is probably flying back to Arizona where he lives and the doctor is going to tell him that he should call off the tour and he is probably going to do just that. I don't think Chester would rock out from a wheelchair like other rock stars and people in the punk rock world would. That would be awesome because it would mean that the 600 dollars that we spent on this tour wouldn't be wasted but I don't have high fucking hopes as far as that's concerned.
-
I honestly really don't care about your opinion or anyone else's, for that matter. I don't even care about Chester's opinion on it. It fucking SUCKS to have LP cancel on you right before the concert. No matter how you look at it, it fucking sucks. Ask anyone that has had LP cancel on them last minute because it's happened to be multiple times now before this and I know other people who have had it happen to them and they have similar reactions to it. Obviously, I hope that he heals, but I'm not going to act like I don't care about the cancellation when I do care about it, very much so. It's easy for people to say when they don't have tickets to the tour or already saw them at one of the 3 dates so far that it's not a big deal. And really, you don't think I am a real fan of Chester? Ask literally anybody that knows me, in real life or online, if I a fan of Chester and see what people tell you. That's just rich. If I'm not a real LP fan, then how come I have been to 19 LP shows, attended multiple summits, attended a lot of meet and greets, have ''Linkin Park'' tatooed on my skin, etc.? If I'm not considered to be a ''real LP fan'' on this website then I guess I shouldn't be posting on this website and maybe consider posting someplace like LPU only. Because that's just downright absurd to me. Also, I don't agree with your STP comment at all. It doesn't even make any sense. Of course the STP guys are happy to be playing with Chester. They're washed up and the only songs by them that get radio play are shit from like 1994. LOL. Chester is like a God send to them. You can't compared the people in STP being ''happier'' than the guys in LP because that makes literally no sense. You don't know how the guys in LP feel and it's stupid to even compare the two anyways, especially since Chester doesn't even do that. I know that you seem to be obsessed with STP and you have been putting down LP ever since Chester has joined STP. Yes, obviously he has fun with STP, but I thought LP was his true love? That's what he said in an interview with STP, so I just naturally assumed. I guess he is lying, then.
-
That'd be damn epic but I am almost positive that this show will be canceled.
-
Because LP wouldn't be able to handle that kind of technicality and Chester definitely couldn't handle the vocals. He can barely scream Faint which is super easy.
-
I'm really fucking let down. I'm not gonna jump on the ''Feel better Chester'' bandwagon because I actually had tickets to the Albany show. It's funny because the only people that I see saying that shit are the people who weren't going to either of these shows in the first place. Funny how Chester played last night in Indy with the same injury but now he can't play these shows. Seems a little suspect to me because I know someone who broke their ankle in 3 places a month ago and they are out of work for months and can barely move, yet Chester just had a walking cast on last night and was able to perform the whole show. Hmm. I can almost guarantee that they will cancel more shows and maybe even the whole tour. Apparently a broken foot means that a singer who uses their voice can't sing. I see a LOT of angry Rise Against fans online right now saying the same thing that I am saying. Rise Against is from the punk rock world, though, unlike LP, so Rise Against's fans are used to people in punk bands playing no matter what happens, usually, especially broken bones and shit. I have tickets to Providence and Manchester but I bet those will most definitely be cancelled as well. Probably less than 24 hours before the show or something ultra lame like that, too. I have a TINY sliver of hope that they will play Manchester since it's so far away, but I doubt it, honestly. This just sucks because I was really looking forward to seeing LP on this tour. I had pit tickets for all of these shows and on Carnivores I only had a pit ticket for 1 of the 4 shows that I went to. I also love Of Mice & Men and it sucks that I most likely won't be able to see them play with my favorite band. Well, I guess I should look at it this way, at least Chester can go home and write some sub-par music with STP now. Fuck LP, right?
-
PRAYING that my shows don't get canceled.....
-
I know that it sucks that LP won't play much of the album live. Same thing happened with LT. But I listen to LP's studio music WAY more than their live music and I honestly rarely ever listen to live recordings, so honestly, I don't care. I think GATS shouldn't be played and it should be replaced with UIG, especially since Mike does Rakim's part which annoys the fuck out of me, but that's just my opinion. Basically it's LP's call what they decide to do in terms of live. But studio is the most important in the scope of things.
-
I hope they don't cancel any shows or the tour in general... Random, but does it seem weird that you can still buy pit tickets to the show in Albany? Usually pit tickets for a LP show will sell out right away when the tickets go on sale. It still doesn't make sense to me why LP chose to play these small places instead of places like Boston, Madison Square Garden, Staples Center, Chicago, etc.
