  1. What has even been a ''proper'' single this album cycle? GATS? GATS didn't even have a real music video and it never received it's own single CD or anything. UIG had a music video that wasn't very well promoted and the single CD was a bit pointless since it was given away at Best Buy and the bonus track was just GATS studio version that we all had anwyays. Then came FM which did actually have a proper music video and also had a proper CD single release, etc. Rebellion has yet to see any form of a music video or proper single CD release, etc. and now they are no longer playing Rebellion anyways. I highly doubt that the set in 2015 will change much at all over the course of the year so I don't think we will see any songs from THP that we haven't seen yet and I highly doubt that Rebellion will ever make it's way back into the set again for probably their whole career since I can't see them playing it after THP cycle is done. UIG may make a comeback someday but probably not. They should have just done what I said from the get go and release UIG as the lead single alongside Carnivores Tour information the same day, as well as the UIG music video, just like they did with BID and the Honda Civic Tour a few years ago, that was genius promotion IMO.
  2. LP played ITE, Crawling, My December and PMA acoustic in 2001.
  3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instrumental_Album:_The_Rising_Tied Did this ever see a physical release? And if so, it would only have been a promo CD most likely, right?
  4. Chester can write STP stuff around LP. He doesn't need downtime with LP to do it. Dean and the rest of the guys actually write when Chester is with LP and Chester comes in with great melody ideas and they do the vocals, etc.
  5. Wow, this is AWESOME. I can't wait to hear this if they ever release it somehow. I wonder what songs they played altogether.
  6. I wish, that'd be awesome.
  7. Has Session ever been played in FULL? I know it was played in 2003 and 2009 but those weren't full performances.
  8. From The Inside sounds badass.
  9. It's just super filled with mostly only big singles and mainstream stuff. I remember back in like 2007 and 2008 when I would go to LP shows and they would play shit like A Place For My Head, My December, Valentine's Day, No More Sorrow, hell, even a Rihanna cover at one point. Or when I would see LP in 2010 and 2011 and they added TONS of shit from A Thousand Suns and they didn't give a fuck if it was commercially successful or not, they still put most of the album into the set at every show, it was awesome and it took balls. Even recently in 2012, when they made stuff like Lying From You/Papercut and VICTIMIZED/Qwerty or played When They Come For Me still, even though it wasn't a huge hit on radio. But now it seems like they are just playing mostly ONLY the big hits and stuff that will appeal commercially. From The Inside and A Place For My Head are both good songs and I think they are a good addition to the set. I just don't see why the band refuses to play stuff from the new album. They did that with LIVING THINGS, too. LP has like 4 or 5 REALLY big hits (In The End, Numb, What I've Done, New Divide and BURN IT DOWN) and then the rest are just mainstream songs that got some radio airplay. So it blows my mind that they refuse to drop any of the other 19 give or take songs from the set for some new songs or even old fan favorites like No More Sorrow and When They Come For Me. They are on the right track here with From The Inside and A Place For My Head but they should add even more, IMO.
  10. I don't expect shit man. I'm just saying that for me personally, I would rather see them play songs from the new album and drop a few songs like New Divide to make room. I know LP isn't going to do that. That's why I said ''this is LP we are talking about here'' in my earlier post.
  11. Meh. That's debatable. Maybe to people who have never seen LP live before. But I personally wouldn't call them ''new songs'' because they've been played a shit ton in the past and because they are from the earliest LP albums of all. But like I said, I think it's great that LP added these because a lot of LP fans love these songs and probably want to see them in every set for the rest of the band's career.
  12. I think the reason that New Divide pisses me off is for that sole reason. The fact that they wrote the song specifically for a super huge commercial film and it got a lot of radio airplay and now they won't ever drop the song because of that. Most of my favorite LP songs are the less popular ones, like Valentine's Day, In Pieces, Keys To The Kingdom, The Messenger, What We Don't Know, etc. Although, What I've Done is my favorite LP song of all and that's a pretty big commercial song, so hey, maybe I'm just a hypocrite.
  13. So was that whole ''Brad rehearsing a new song'' picture just a bunch of bullshit? Unless they are going to be doing rotating setlists on this tour and they have War or something on one of the other setlists, but I wouldn't count on it. Note to LP: Bringing back a song from 2000 and 2003 doesn't qualify as a ''new song''.
  14. To get back on topic with this thread, I hope I can see some people from LPL at the shows that I'm going to. I've met a lot of cool people from LPL over the years.
  15. Not really, it was only added recently in 2012. I'm surprised that shit like New Divide is still in the set, to be honest. By issue with Ballad Medley isn't because I would consider it ''shit'', but because it doesn't fit at all with attitude of The Hunting Party and also because it doesn't fit with the whole high energy, visceral attitude of the setlist anymore. It fit back in the LIVING THINGS cycle because that was a pop rock record and it blended well with a lot of that stuff that they were playing back then.
  16. I've seen From The Inside on 7 different occasions and I've seen A Place For My Head on 4 different occasions, so that's probably why I'm not that excited. That and because I was hoping for songs from The Hunting Party. But the hardcore fanbase is shitting themselves right now over these songs being added to the setlist, so kudos to LP for that.
  17. Very weird that they didn't play Rebellion, isn't that their current single that they are trying to promote for their new album? And no Until It's Gone, either? Wtf? This band never makes much sense to me when it comes to their live show. If they want to shock people and be balls to the wall with energy, have Keys To The Kingdom open up the set with just Chester screaming, just like on the album version. Then the drums would kick in, etc. Omg I think I would actually mosh at a LP show for once if they did that. But yeah, A Line In The Sand should absolutely 100% be played. AT LEAST just play War or something. From The Inside and A Place For My Head are both heavy and fan favorite for sure, but I want to hear some shit from the new album, too. Drop the pop shit in the set and replace it with hard rockers or even mid tempo rockers like What I've Done. Ditch Ballad Medley ditch Castle Of Glass, etc.
  18. A Line In The Sand should be the second to last song, and then have Bleed It Out close the show. But this is LP, they wouldn't do something epic like that.
  19. Don't really care for From The Inside or A Place For My Head. I've seen both of them live a lot of times and I'm not the type of fan who will have an orgasm if they play something from Hybrid Theory or Meteora. But I know this will please A LOT of the typical LP fanbase, so more power to them, I guess. I know the show is not over yet but I have to say that I am a bit let down. I mean this is the fucking Hunting Party tour, and now they play even LESS songs from the album since they dropped Rebellion. I'll still have fun at the shows either way, but I was really looking forward to hearing Keys To The Kingdom, War and A Line In The Sand live at some point in my life, but I guess that most likely won't be happening.
  20. Dude, just give up on the whole Disney and bit that was cut from the end of KTTK. You are acting n00bish. LP isn't a Disney band and they aren't going to play KTTK live most likely, and if they were to play it live, I highly doubt that they would play something that was cut from the album. They wouldn't even play the ''I'm not allowed to say certain things'' part at the end, most likely. Watch this interview starting at about 6:45, Mike explains the Disney shit, and see if you still think LP would play it live. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22jkUOumik4
  21. Well, to me, Xero/Hybrid Theory/Linkin Park is the same band. The only members that were changed were the singer (once) and the bassist a few times, but Phoenix was part of Xero/Hybrid Theory anyways.
  22. Well, how can Chester be featured on ''Slip'' and ''Blue'' for example when they say ''Unreleased 1998 Demo''? Plus, the t-shirt that the band sold on the Honda Civic Tour said ''Los Angeles Est. 1998'' or something to that effect.
  23. Was Chester the executive producer for ''We're Here With You'' as well as ''Death To Analog'', or just ''Death To Analog''?
  24. The lyrics are wrong.
  25. Will LP even play in Asia or Australia for THP cycle? That's pretty messed up if they don't. US and Europe shouldn't be the only places getting shows.
