hahninator Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 What kind of styles do you think the band is going to be using for the new album? More of the MTM sound, or MTM with some Meteora thrown in, or what? Heavy stuff or soft stuff? Hmm. Quote
Mudamuckla Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Yeah im thinking it might be a little like M2M but hopefully it will have some more heavy stuff in it with one or two or even 3 softer songs like a complete opposite to M2M {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif Quote
And One LTU Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I think it should be MTM, but more heavier... And it would be really cool {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif I hope that in the new album will be used new instruments in the songs, guitar solos and maybe one or two drum solos {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif Quote
Braininator Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Hopefully, LP can expand on the M2M writing process and come up with some new arrangements for songs. Perhaps a slight hint of experimentation. I'm happy for the band to continue with a primarily rock focus. I'd like to see the electronic side return; more Joe Hahn! (Think In Pieces). A little bit more hip-hop flavour, but not necessarily rap, although the rap must remain in a few songs, but must be of a high calibre. Mike should have a larger role in the vocals (either rap or singing). I'd really only like to see 1 Chester ballad on the album. Mike can do as many ballads as he likes. {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif And I'd be really disappointed if we end up with TLTGYA v2. Quote
Monsterman Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I think that it will be like MTM with a little of Meteora and Hybrid Theory style!!! {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif Quote
djl7792 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I want it to be more like Meteora, but it will likely be more MTM because even if it is more mainstream and whatever, it's what makes them money with all these singles. There should be at least a few heavy songs, but I think a lot of them will be kind of slow Quote
Logo85 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Given the fact that I love Hybrid Theory through M2M, I can't really choose. But from what the band has said, they have retired the old Hybrid Theory/Meteora sound and are leaning towards the Minutes To Midnight sound; which in my opinion, I don't mind at all because I listen to the softer type of music a lot and I absolutely loved Minutes To Midnight with maybe the exception of one song. But yea, im hoping the next album is just like Minutes To midnight.. remember, everyone is entitled to their own opinion lol Quote
Revolution1985 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 i think it is going to be different then all the other albums Quote
lnknchrs Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 im hoping for a more even mix of mtm and meteora. i like the soft stuff but a few more hard tracks would be great! Quote
ChuckCheese Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 As much as we all would like a similiar style to HT and Meteora, it will most likely be more like MTM, with a few heavy tracks. Quote
handsheldhigh Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 i will not expect anything new, will be slower than mtm they going older, so the only thing we can expect is more balads, less rock i think this new album could sound like coldplay or something similar {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif Quote
Braininator Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 i will not expect anything new, will be slower than mtm they going older, so the only thing we can expect is more balads, less rock i think this new album could sound like coldplay or something similar I don't think they're old enough yet to use that as an excuse! Anyway, I think Chester's voice is the major contributor to the number of ballads. But I'm sure that they can write some rock songs that only require Chester to sing, not scream. Since there will be some ballads in some form, I wouldn't mind if they were as creative as the songs on Coldplay's new album. Quote
leftshoe18 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 it won't sound like anything linkin park has done in the past. Quote
Papelbon Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I hope its a mix of HT and M2M, I love the hard stuff, but I love the newer stuff as well. And I hope that it does NOT sound like Coldplay.... (((not a big fan))) Quote
pbizkit33 Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I hope they keep the MTM sound, but include more tracks with Mike vocally (rapping or singing). Quote
dark_master Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I want to be harder... with songs like Given Up, QWERTY, No More Sorrow... {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif But i want to have soft songs, too... like LOATR, Shadow Of The Day, Numb, Pushing Me Away... But the harder songs must be more... PS: Sorry for the bad English {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif Quote
And One LTU Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Can anyone translate first second of news on bazinga!? It's about new album... Quote
BlackChester Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 HA! they got it from LPRevolution.de ^^ we @ LPRevolution.de got told, that LP will attend the Indigo Ranch Studios in March next year... that's what's written there I think Quote
felipeintheend Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 mix of meteora and MTM Could be nice <33333333 Quote
SouthernGirlAM Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 I think its going to be another change...I'm definitely trying not to do too much guessing about it or expecting of it simply cause one...I don't know what to expect...and two...well, I think I'd rather be surprised, lol...I guess time will tell... Quote
harakiri Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 they'll prolly stick with the mtm sound/the musically variety of that album or whatever you may call it, keeping it literally old-school concerning the instrumentation and stuff, but i still hope for some harder stuff, and i'm talking more than two songs. T__T Quote
Rheainstoun Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I think that it would be something like MTM ......i think that best style for new album is Future Metal....like No More Sorrow.... {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif Quote
gtrnowak4tkd Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I Think they should scrap the Whole M2M change.. Let Chester's voice recover and go into a more metally sound. They should Also include Qwerty and Reading My Eyes. Also No More Sorrows is classified as Industrial Metal. not Future Metal. Quote
leftshoe18 Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 how is no more sorrow industrial metal? Quote
